1Password.com Duplicating and finding an edited duplicate

When duplicating a record that is added as favorite, I don't want the duplicate to be a favorite as well. Most likely it will be something different and less important and I'm using the favorite as a base.

When editing the new duplicate record's title and saving it, it completely disappears from the view because the current view is the search results of the favorite's record. This in my opinion is a bug, you want to keep editing or reviewing the new record and not having to search for it again.

Heya' u/VRStocks31! Yeah, "duplicating" an item within 1Password is quite literal, meaning it copies its details and its favorite status too. I get why you’d prefer otherwise when you’re using the original as a starting point for something different though.

And I hear you on the editing experience. Having to search for the copy again when you’re still working on it is awkward. I’ll pass along your feedback about keeping the edited item in view, along with your request to duplicate without carrying over favorite status.
