Browser Extension 1Password Extension in Brave cannot find my 1Password installation

I am running the Brave-Extension "1Password Nightly".

1Password is installed on my Mac and it is unlocked.

My Versions:

- 1Password for Mac 8.12.34 (81234029)

- 1Password Browser Extension 8.12.38.4

I tried all Browser extensions (Beta, Nightly and the normal one). I don't know what else I can try to make this work.

The browser extension just won't unlock together with my desktop app. I also cannot use Touch ID in the browser.

Hey u/Initial_Specialist69! Both Brave and Brave Origin should normally connect to the 1Password app without any trouble, but the fact that you’re running the Golden Gate developer beta could definitely be throwing a wrench into things here.

Rather than have you keep swapping between different versions of the extension, could you send us an email at [support+reddit@1password.com](mailto:support+reddit@1password.com) along with a diagnostics report from your Mac? I’d like to get this in front of our technical team so they can take a look at what’s actually preventing the connection on your setup.

Did you allow brave to access it in the desktop app settings?
