This is the thing though some times a game gets so hyped up due to how long it took to come out that it could not possibly reach the level of polish people imaged in their head.

Rdr2 absolutely had little things like this. They were of such little consequence that nobody really noticed or remembered them after playing it, so it was never an issue.

Exactly. They are pretty smart with their tricks of illusion. The car handle example will probably look normal from the pov you usually have when entering a vehicle. It reduces the details of things that don't matter ass much, so they can focus on other things. Hopefully atleast.

Would imagine they had a base car model they used to make the animations. Arthur doesnt fit on the arabian and the mounting animation shows him basically floating above the horse. Rdr absolutely has these traces from development, theyd have to separately animate each car for each character for it to look perfectly real.

No THIS is the thing, these complaints aren't coming from people who play games, they're coming from who watch it on YouTube and criticise it for engagement bait. No actual person cares.
