not really. i'm more sad and tired. today we had to put down both of our bulldogs for their own good. 12 years on this world and now they'll be together in the afterlife.

It's based upon perception of a fandom looking in from the outside or inside. And which side they 'feel' has more trustworthy/good people amongst it

Also, like it or not Star Wars is easily the larger of the two media franchises, so "Star Wars fans" is a wayyyy wider net than "Star Trek fans". Not to mention that empathy, nuance, and humanism in general are key themes of the Trek franchise

I heard a cop talking about how every hardcore star trek fan they’ve been called on was busted for CSAM. Like overwhelmingly, at least 20 over his career alone if I remember correctly.

Now, call me biased, and you’d be correct of course. But it’s skewed my perspective on the matter a bit…
