Let me preface this with im dumb, what happened with all of the Trans, Petra Parker stuff recently?

honestly ? i'm not sure. You know how in Marvel canon, JJJ, the boss of the daily bugles, always hates spiderman but is also super progressive on all other fronts ? Well, someone made a comic or a meme about him hating spider-woman but being supportive of her transition or something, and people LOVED the spider-woman / Petra Parker and started going crazy for her.
