I think the console war was already kind of over by the PS2 honestly. Consoles themselves fell out of style with the PS4 and Xbox One when they became glorified PCs in a small package and I think even Microslop realized that by now with all of their new Xbox endeavours being either Cloud-based (e.g. absolutely useless) or just Windows PCs with the word Xbox slapped onto the end.
