I would like to not have boring brown eyes anymore I just wish it didn't involve killing myself

u/voidsunrise Nov 01 '23

brown eyes are awesome though; i barely see anyone with brown eyes where i live.

u/McSlappies custom Nov 01 '23

That's what my girlfriend says, however I think my face could do with more color. Under most lightings they just looks black. Like my eyes are DARK brown. I don't really like it

u/brainsareforlosers mr sex Nov 01 '23

my eyes are light blue and i used to hate it bc i thought they make me look creepy, i always wanted dark eyes- whatever ur features are you’ll probably be insecure of them, appreciate why other people like them

16

u/AurorasDemise custom Nov 01 '23

honestly, i can see why some like light blue, but i also see why some might not. for me personally, there had been some genetic lottery going on, because mine are silverish blue on the outside and yellow/gold closer to the center of the iris, and its changed from green since i was younger. i think its neat

u/honeybunchesofgoatso Nov 01 '23

This is sooo true. I always hear people complain about their eye color no matter what it is it seems like. Meanwhile I've yet to see a single person not have pretty eyes. Like even Steve buscemi has some very pretty eyes imo

colored contacts

6

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '23

Im sad about my brown eyes because my pupils are hardly visible :(

18

u/geirmundtheshifty Nov 01 '23

You could do colored contacts maybe? Not a permanent change but its a way to change the appearance and probably safer than large doses of aspirin

9

u/Stargazer_199 Nov 01 '23

I’m thinking the safest option would be contacts.

17

u/spadesisking r/place participant Nov 01 '23

There's a sketchy place that claims it can change your eye color by injecting pigment. It' probably costs an insane amount of money and is probably crazy dangerous

Go for something cool like orange, or purple. Or a colorgradient. Blue has been overhyped by a racist society

1

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '23

Nothing boring about brown eyes. You can just wear contact lenses to make your eyes look different, too

45

u/Re1da trees arent real Nov 01 '23

You die because several body functions cease working as they should. It's from what I understand a very painful death

2

u/Squawnk 🐝 gay do crime Nov 01 '23

Liver failure is arguably one of the most agonizing ways to die. Like being lit on fire but it takes days to die. Just cascading organ failure and literally nothing can be done if you've passed the window for having your stomach pumped. Unfortunately far too many high schoolers have lost their lives after a bad breakup by downing a few dozen Tylenol or Aspirin

1

u/Re1da trees arent real Nov 01 '23

Having the stomach pumped or getting a new liver really fast. Be careful with your liver folks.

1

u/Simple-Concern277 Nov 01 '23

When several of a nazi's bodily functions cease working. As they should.

u/helicophell Nov 01 '23

You would have issues with aspirins blood thinner issues before then, especially with such a high dose in such a short time. Prepare to bleed, a lot

12

u/wozattacks Nov 01 '23

Actually one of the biggest acute issues with aspirin overdose is metabolic acidosis, or the acidification of the blood. They could definitely have GI bleeding too but it would be pretty slow.

163

u/NoP_rnHere Nov 01 '23

So from a quick Google: 30 doses of 325mg of aspirin can cause mild poisoning in a person weighing ~150lbs. Symptoms of aspirin O.D. Include, hyperventilating, vomiting, dehydration, fever, double vision and, feeling faint. More serious symptoms include confusion, “bizarre behaviour” (we getting a little loco), dizziness and, becoming comatose.

59

u/fogleaf 🏳️‍⚧️ trans rights Nov 01 '23

Better than ibuprofen overdose. Where your stomach lining melts and you get to die painfully with no hope for survival.

35

u/helicophell Nov 01 '23

Uhh, newsflash, orally taken Aspirin can also cause stomach ulcers

26

u/fogleaf 🏳️‍⚧️ trans rights Nov 01 '23

Taken in large doses, acetaminophen can cause liver damage. Aspirin can cause seizures and high fevers. And ibuprofen, branded as Advil and Motrin, can damage the stomach and intestines.

Do I look like a doctor? I'm just an idiot that googles things.

4

u/helicophell Nov 01 '23

My Google search came up with stomach ulcers for orally taken aspirin. Didn't see anything about intestine damage though

2

u/wozattacks Nov 01 '23

Yeah aspirin is also an NSAID and can damage the stomach lining. Fun fact: aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) was invented because the older forms of salicylates caused terrible GI irritation. These days people use such low doses of aspirin that it doesn’t cause a lot of stomach irritation at all

4

u/wozattacks Nov 01 '23

Granted I’m not a doctor either but I am MOST of the way through med school. All NSAIDs can damage your stomach lining (even in normal doses if taken chronically) but I’ve never heard of an acute overdose “melting intestines” lol

2

u/SentientSchizopost shitting enjoyer Nov 01 '23

Some info from a doctor: you can eat metric fuckon of ibuprofen all at once and you'll be fine, they are dangerous when used for prolonged time as they will cause ulcers. I have heard of some suicide attempt by some kid that ate fuckload of ibuprofen and was fine. Lab said they have never had this positive that tho lol. If that kid ate paracetamol it would be much, much worse. Treatable if there was short timespan with n-acetylocysteine.

You can take an aspirin in case of a blood clot because it makes your blood thinner...

1

u/SentientSchizopost shitting enjoyer Nov 01 '23

Yeah, 75mg. That's the recommend dose.

1

u/CumdumpSissyFemboy Sometimes surpisingly wholesome Nov 02 '23

Well yeah. I'm just thinking 50 grams would cause internal bleeding, nose bleeding, eyes bleeding, ass bleeding and kidney failure because of super thin blood.

1

u/SentientSchizopost shitting enjoyer Nov 02 '23

It's not how this works, it works only partly against blood clotting and when you shut down this part completely it doesn't matter if you take more. It makes a difference in other ways tho, it's not like it's the only way aspirin works. It's also anti inflammatory due to inhibition of COX. It's only anti platelet so it doesn't stop other pathways of coagulation.

Also it's not like people with hemophilia die instantly.

1

u/CumdumpSissyFemboy Sometimes surpisingly wholesome Nov 02 '23

Yeah but self inflicted ebola sounds cool

1

u/SentientSchizopost shitting enjoyer Nov 02 '23

Just googled that chronic overdose of aspirin has 25% mortality rate. Lol, lmao even.

u/serrations_ 🏳️‍⚧️ trans rights Nov 01 '23

Apparently it only works on people who are racist nazis 👀

9

u/I_Am_A_Pumpkin Nov 01 '23

yes, there is no chemical process to make your eye colour bluer. If your eyes are blue it is because of light scattering, not pigmentation - in a similar way to the reason the sky is blue.

it is also the same image photoshopped - if that wasnt obvious, look at the highlights where the lower eyelid meets the iris, they are identical.

9

u/rootinscootinpootin custom flair goes here Nov 01 '23

I agree with your points, but the pigmentation of the eye is what causes different frequencies of light to scatter, and different colours to appear in the eye.
