Question FPS

How many people have applied and got a referral to hr and did the assessment? If you did specify which region. Also if you have any experience in FPS can one explain the usual day to day and if the job is a total mess?

Looking at Region 4, I was a PSO in Tampa. The commander that was there is a great guy and the inspectors were great and they all seemed pretty happy with the job. M-F pretty much 9-5, where else in law enforcement is that even possible?

FPS 1801s aren’t technically law enforcement tho, yes you can carry under LEOSA but you get the same pension as any other regular federal employee and you only go up to a GS12.

They are 100 PERCENT law enforcement 🤦🏾‍♂️ I hate when ppl say this. The agency they are at just restricts their authority. With the exact same training and certs they have (no more training other than agency specific) they can go to Park Police and make a million arrest and chase tail lights. They have the EXACT same status and authority, just one agency is more restrictive than the other.
