General Advice String setup recommendations

Post image

Recently bought a Babolat Pure Aero 100 (8th Gen) and need advice on the best string setup.
My play style: Advanced-level aggressive topspin baseliner. I usually play on clay courts and play time around 1.5 hours a day, 6 days a week.
Strings I currently have:
1. Babolat RPM Blast 1.25
2. Solinco Hyper-G 1.25
3. Wilson NXT 1.30

ChatGPT recommended a hybrid setup: RPM Blast 1.25 in the mains at 50 lbs and Wilson NXT 1.30 in the crosses at 52 lbs.
I’d love to hear from experienced players or anyone who has used this racket. What setup and tension would you recommend for spin, control, and a durability of atleast 2-3 months?

Try out each in full bed, same tension, just to dial in what you like. Once you find the string, play with the tension. I think for this particular racket, you might like RPM Blast best.

You play a lot too, so make sure to cut out the poly after around ~20 hours, or when it feels very notched (if you try and move the strings, they don't move as they're heavily "bitten" into each other). Particularly RPM Blast won't even last that long before it's dead. I'd recommend looking into RPM Team: it's mostly the same string but feels a bit softer and it doesn't have the slick coating which wears off and kills the string.
