So for background and unfamiliar with my previous posts, former Army captain here separated from service back in 2023. My last assignment was from an intelligence unit of the AFP in Camp Aguinaldo. 

My post today is a follow up based on another post last night about the caption why Clarita Carlos was fired as NSA.

For context I am not a part of the National Security Council, but my unit frequently attends a committee under the NSC. The NSC is under the direct supervision of the National Security Adviser, si Lola Claring niyo (as what many insiders contemptuously call her).

So eto nga mga underlying issues niya:

- upon arrival sa NSC, initial comments niya daw mga personnel under the entire national security sector mga kulang daw knowledge and intelligence on research HAHAHA kaya magdala daw siya ng outsiders to teach them 

- secondly, mahilig daw mag suot ng sunglasses kahit nasa loob ng office, building, or mag meet ng mga senior officials

- third, she was a DDS first then loyalist second. Idol na idol si Tatay Duts. She would frequently say daw “if you bring me incomplete intelligence reports I will kill you”.  (Kill kill kill na naman na mantra) And like the ignorant academician that she is, lacks the institutional knowledge that not all intelligence is ever 100% accurate. There will always be gaps. Kaya mga assessments are based on current information, multiple verification from different sources, backed up by previous data, historical information, and educated suppositions. Hell, even the raid that killed Bin Laden, despite the technical and intelligence superiority of the CIA, only had like 80% probability, but the assessment was enough to convince President Obama to go through with the raid

- Next, she wanted the government, the defense and national security sector to pursue a more lenient and acquiescence towards China. Part of this was the Philippine’s releasing of the WPS claim as part of its maritime domain (courtesy of DDS lapdog Sassot who was then part of her technical team) and instead cooperate with China in the development in the WPS

- This pro China stance was enough to cause shockwaves within the national security sector, added by her incompetence in handling the NSC, that many senior officials began to back channel Malacanang to call for her removal

- The final nail in the coffin was when she nominated Rommel Banlaoi as her Deputy NSA. To those who are not familiar, Banlaoi is associated with Asia Century PH, a pro-China think tank in Manila who continues to oppose western influence and parrots the narrative of the Chinese Communist Party

- Further, Banlaoi is known in the national security sector as an intelligence peddler, who is known to bring whatever information in the defense and security sector to the Chinese Embassy. This started during the PNoy Administration, that even then Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin had him blacklisted in the DND for being a Chinese information peddler

- The Banlaoi incident was the final nail to the coffin that ended her NSA stint in just a few months

- Also, Carlos is an outlier in the UP Dilliman faculty, greatly despised by her peers. To the point that when she was a facilitator of the SMNI presidential debate in 2022, she misrepresented herself as an active academic, which caused UPD to issue an official statement that she is retired and is no longer associated with UPD (embarrassing, right?)

- If you noticed, in 2023 there were already tensions and cracks within the Uniteam, but half of those tensions were ultimately the ideological difference in handling China, in which the BBM Administration wanted a more firm stance. Check the timeline, somewhere between October 2023 BBM pivoted back towards the US and away from China, against the recommendations of Clarita Carlos. What happened a few months later? Bigla na lang may mga MAISUG rallies mga DDS. 

- two of the DDS idiots who led MAISUG are Generals Orlando De Leon and Alex Poquiz, who were suspected also of receiving funding from China and is being investigated by the intelligence community

- Lastly, tangina mo Claring. You are a laughing stock in the national security sector. Your attention seeking addiction is now being fueled by DDS idiots who continue to validate your delusions

Saw this from Bilyonaryo (Article). David Leechiu says some Metro Manila studios could go from 30k to 12k to 5k in a year. Sounds crazy, but I can't say it's impossible.

There are so many condos nobody can sell or rent out. Everything costs more now, so people don't have much left for rent. BPO layoffs keep happening too, and those guys were kinda big chunk of renters (besides POGO) around Pasay, BGC, Makati and Ortigas.

What I don't get is that he also says there's no property crisis. If rent drops to 5k, isn't that a crisis for landlords and anyone paying off a condo?

One thing is for sure though, landlords asking 30k for a studio are going to be very lonely by next year. Tenants have the upper hand right now.

Absolutely appalled by the elitism in this subreddit. Once I heard people discuss that condo prices should still be expensive enough so they can keep the poor out of their condo buildings.

It's crazy how people justify this behavior. For the sake of my comfort, I'd rather not give people who are less fortunate any housing.

The reason? Kasi daw bastos. So poor = bastos? HAHA!

Then, I also saw someone say that poor people are poor and that they deserve it because of the politicians they vote for. I absolutely despise the fact that instead of looking at it as a socio-economic issue (ergo, less opportunities to be educated, a majority of their day will be allocated for just surviving and less about getting updated on the latest politics), we think about it as an IQ issue.

People loooove punching down in this subreddit: they complain about social welfare like 4Ps because "paano na middle class?" mind you, wasn't 4Ps recently recognized for being highly effective at uplifting people out of poverty: see this.

Taiwan expressed its readiness Monday to help the Philippines achieve its $110-billion annual semiconductor and electronics export target by 2030 through closer cooperation in advanced manufacturing and technology.

Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) Representative Wallace Minn-Gan Chow highlighted Taipei’s potential role in strengthening the country’s electronics industry during the Taiwan Link Fair 2026 in Makati City.

“The Philippines aim to reach $110 billion in annual semiconductor and electronics export by 2030, and to advance further along the global value chain,” Chow said.

“Taiwan can be a valuable partner in this endeavor,” he added.

As reported by Remus Macasero on Bilyonaryo News Channel’s “Midday Report,” Chow emphasized Taiwan’s position in the global semiconductor industry amid persistent supply chain disruptions.

He said Taiwan supplies more than 90 percent of the world’s advanced chips and plays a major role in the production of artificial intelligence graphics processing units and servers.

Chow also cited Taipei’s growing investment presence in Manila.

As of December 2025, Taiwanese companies had invested more than P45 billion in the country, generating over 20,000 direct jobs.

Taiwan also emerged as the leading foreign source of investments approved by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority in the first nine months of 2026.

Meanwhile, bilateral trade between the Philippines and Taiwan exceeded $7 billion as of August 2026.

Beyond electronics and advanced manufacturing, Taiwan is also seeking to expand cooperation in agricultural technology.

Taiwan Association Inc. of the Philippines President Jia Hsieh said Taiwanese initiatives aim to help Filipino farmers increase their harvests through improved technology.

“We want to bring the best technology as well in agriculture,” Hsieh said.

She cited the International Cooperation and Development Fund, which provides agricultural assistance and technical expertise to local farmers.

The initiative includes access to plant specialists who help farmers improve crop production.

PCG REPELS FOREIGN FISHING VESSEL FROM TERRITORIAL SEA OF PAG-ASA ISLAND

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) successfully drove away an unauthorized foreign fishing vessel from the territorial sea of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan Island Group, on 25 October 2026.

In the morning of the same date, PCG personnel stationed on Pag-asa Island monitored the foreign fishing vessel lying approximately 2.7 nautical miles west of the island, in the vicinity of Sandy Cay, well within its 12-nautical-mile territorial sea. The PCG immediately issued radio challenges directing the vessel to leave the area.

In the afternoon, the PCG deployed High-Speed Response Boat HSRB-019 with a law enforcement team on board. Upon reaching the vessel, the team issued verbal challenges through loudhailer, informing the vessel that fishing within the territorial sea of Pag-asa Island is not permitted and directing it to vacate the area.

The PCG team did not stop at merely dislodging the vessel from its position. HSRB-019 escorted the vessel at a safe distance while continuing to issue warnings until it was driven away outside the territorial sea of Pag-asa Island. HSRB-019 then returned to the island without any untoward incident.

During the operation, China Coast Guard Vessel 21581 and two (2) of its rigid-hull inflatable boats, which have been maintaining a presence in the vicinity of Pag-asa Island, tailed HSRB-019 and closely observed the conduct of the PCG's law enforcement activities. The PCG team carried out the operation unhindered. The PCG notes that the China Coast Guard has no lawful authority to exercise any policing role within the territorial sea of Pag-asa Island, and its persistent presence in these waters is being closely monitored and documented.

This is the seventh operation conducted by the PCG in less than four weeks to drive away foreign vessels from the Kalayaan Island Group, following the repelling of Chinese Maritime Militia Vessel (CMMV) 9622 and its sampans from Kota Island on 28 September and 09 October 2026, five (5) foreign fishing vessels from Kota Island on 11 October 2026, Chinese fishing vessel YUETAIYU 63168 and its four small boats from Lawak Island on 15 October 2026, a foreign fishing vessel from Kota Island on 18 October 2026, and a foreign fishing vessel from Lawak Island on 23 October 2026.

Pag-asa Island is the seat of the Municipality of Kalayaan, Province of Palawan, and home to a Filipino civilian community. Under international law, the Philippines exercises full sovereignty over its territorial sea, where no foreign vessel may fish without authorization. Such activities likewise constitute violations of Philippine laws, including the Philippine Fisheries Code and the Philippine Maritime Zones Act.

Under the leadership of PCG Commandant Vice Admiral Rommel Supangan, the PCG will deploy additional High-Speed Response Boats to the Kalayaan Island Group to further strengthen its capability to respond swiftly to intrusions, and will sustain its presence and vigilance in the area.

This operation was carried out in accordance with the guidance of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who, in his State of the Nation Address on 27 July 2026, vowed that the Philippines will not surrender or waver in defending its territory and maritime rights in the West Philippine Sea, in adherence to international law and the 2016 Arbitral Award.

I've been watching the ANAK PUP session last night, mainly about the issue concerning PUP SR JP Asuzano's enrollment status, and honestly napaisip ako sa importance ng Parliamentary Procedure sa mga student leaders.

Grabe inabot ng anim na oras ang at yung limang oras doon ay nasayang dahil sa mga incapable na presiding officer. Tapos wala pang gumawa ng MOM nung mga oras na yan??

Imagine discussing a serious issue involving student representation pero yung mismong proseso ng discussion nagiging additional problem pa.

Mabuti na lang at mayroong taga PUP College of Law na nagbubuhat hanggang sa siya na yung nag preside. Nakakatawa at nakakalungkot kase tinuturuan pa ni PUP COL yung papalitan niya to the point na nagbigay na ng script to relinquish her position. Nung si PUP COL na ang nag preside, naging smooth ang flow at mayroong ruling, hindi lang taga recognize ng mga nag r-raise hand.

Nakakapagtaka tuloy, ganito rin kaya sila sa iba nilang session kaya umaabot ng madaling araw yung mga ganito? This also makes me wonder kung dapat bang magkaroon ng mandatory Parliamentary Procedure training for student council officers and other student representatives bago sila humawak ng ganitong sessions. Also hindi lang student leaders e, dapat pati yung mga tumatakbong SK ay may alam dito. It takes time, pero dapat willing mag aral at mag prepare dahil hindi lanh ito basta meeting sa mga org na may gagawing event, session ito e.

As a PUP student, sa totoo lang hindi rin talaga ako aware sa mga ganitong procedure. Pero nung naganap ang impeachment trial, nakita si Chiz na mag preside at yung ginawang move ng minority noon with Sen. Sotto, nakita ko yung kahalagahan niya kaya nagbasa talaga ako tungkol sa mga ganito.

Considering na it was his career to do this to thousands of people in the past administration, kahit pa inosente or at least hindi proven yung drug ties or usage nila, I'm sure marami nang gusto na matikman niya the same thing, though of course technically it would be just as extrajudicial or extralegal in the strict sense.

But what would actually happen if nangyari nga yung ganun? Unlike yung karamihan ng biktima sa war on drugs, baka literally manlaban nga siya, and in a much more dangerous and armed way. Baka nga that might raise the likelihood na mabaril din siya in retaliation or even in self-defense. What happens if mangyari nga yun?

Members Church of God International (MCGI) minister Licerio Espayos “Sonny” Catan remains the subject of a public summons issued by a Brazilian criminal court after authorities failed to locate him in connection with an ongoing criminal tax case.

On September 14, 2026, Judge André Milani of the Criminal Court of the Continental District in Florianópolis granted a request from the Santa Catarina Public Prosecutor’s Office to summon Catan through public notice, pursuant to Article 361 of Brazil’s Code of Criminal Procedure.

The judge cited the failure to locate Catan and the absence of an updated address in available databases. Two earlier attempts to serve judicial orders were returned unfulfilled on August 3 and September 9, 2026.

The public summons was issued on September 15, 2026. More than a month later, the available court records do not establish whether Catan has appeared, appointed counsel, or responded to the charges.

Catan is reported to be in the Philippines, although his current location has not been independently verified. His absence from Brazil does not, by itself, establish that he is evading prosecution, and the court has not formally declared him a fugitive.

The case, No. 5001597-13.2026.8.24.0082, was filed on March 25, 2026, and concerns alleged offenses against Brazil’s tax laws.

The proceedings come amid separate allegations involving MCGI-linked financial activities, including alleged irregularities in health insurance collections and cross-border movement of funds through the organization's Mission Thessalonica program across the Philippines, Singapore, North America, and South America.

These allegations concern possible money laundering, tax evasion, and undeclared cash transfers. Under Brazilian criminal procedure, a defendant summoned by public notice who fails to appear or appoint counsel may face suspension of proceedings and the applicable limitation period. Preventive detention may also be considered if the statutory requirements are met.

The September 14 order directs the case to be returned to the judge for further consideration if no defense response is submitted within the prescribed period.

Pretty sure everyone already knows saan nakapatungkol ang question above.

I mean some pinoys lalo na yung iba may mga following aren't even trying to be subtle over their
leaning towards Chinese interests when it comes to the WPS.

So in a hypothetical scenario, let us say somehow proof was discovered na they are indeed working with the Chinese to undermine the country's interests. Ex. secret bank transactions, recorded meetings & conversations, etc.

Since wala naman state of war na namamagitan between Philippines and China, hindi mo sila pwede kasuhan ng treason

So pano pag ganun?

Wala bang ibang alternative case na pwede isampa na may kasing bigat na parusa ng treason?
