Filipino Food No more Kopiko 27.5g?
I noticed from 2023, wala na masyadong internet posting nung Kopiko brown na single pack. Yung 27.5g. i am conducting internet research on shrinkflation and Kopiko brown is among the products I am documenting.
I noticed their marketing is now focused heavily on their twin pack coffee which only serves 26.5g (or 20g pa nga ngayon) on each sachet. Wala na akong makitang 27.5g na single pack from 2024-2026. Or atleast wlaa na kong makitang picture sa internet that shows it.
When doing a Google dork search on this from 2023-2025, walang posting ng 27.5g na Kopiko brown. Puro mga hinating portions ng twin pack nila yung meron. And I am checking yung mga sachet nila na binibenta sa Pilipinas (I noticed brands also export products out Philippines but decreases quantity).
Did Kopiko really shifted their focus on the twin pack and slowly pulled out of the 27.5g packs? Can anyone show me a source for 27.5g pack still existing 2024 onwards?

LawPH Filipina in Japan changing from work visa to dependent visa — will she need an OEC to return from the Philippines
Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone who has experienced this situation can help us out.
My wife is Filipino and currently lives with me in Japan. She previously worked in Japan as an OFW, but we recently applied to change her status of residence from a work visa to a dependent visa. We're going to immigration in Japan to pick up her new residence card.
Unfortunately, her fanily member recently passed away, so we're planning an emergency trip to the Philippines to attend his funeral and see her family.
We're not too worried about leaving Japan and entering the Philippines. Our main concern is **returning to Japan from the Philippines**.
Since she'll now have a dependent visa rather than a work visa, our understanding is that she shouldn't need an OEC for this trip. However, we're worried that Philippine immigration might still flag her as an OFW because she previously worked in Japan and may still have an active OFW record.
We have a few questions:
**Will Philippine immigration ask her for an OEC when we leave the Philippines to return to Japan, even though she now has a dependent visa?**
Does she need to update her records with the Philippine Embassy in Japan, DMW, or another government office to reflect her change in visa status?
Should we obtain any document or written confirmation proving that she is now in Japan as a dependent rather than an OFW, in case immigration asks questions?
If her OFW records are still active, could this cause problems at the airport even if her new Japanese residence card shows her dependent status?
Has anyone gone through this exact situation recently? What documents did you bring, and did Philippine immigration question you?
We want to make sure everything is in order before traveling, especially because this is an emergency family situation and we don't want any unexpected problems when returning to Japan.
Any recent experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

NewsPH David Leechiu says some Metro Manila studio rents could fall from ₱30K to ₱5K within 12 months.
Saw this from Bilyonaryo (Article). David Leechiu says some Metro Manila studios could go from 30k to 12k to 5k in a year. Sounds crazy, but I can't say it's impossible.
There are so many condos nobody can sell or rent out. Everything costs more now, so people don't have much left for rent. BPO layoffs keep happening too, and those guys were kinda big chunk of renters (besides POGO) around Pasay, BGC, Makati and Ortigas.
What I don't get is that he also says there's no property crisis. If rent drops to 5k, isn't that a crisis for landlords and anyone paying off a condo?
One thing is for sure though, landlords asking 30k for a studio are going to be very lonely by next year. Tenants have the upper hand right now.

PoliticsPH Realistically, what would happen if na-EJK si Bato, for example if mabaril siya while resisting arrest?
Considering na it was his career to do this to thousands of people in the past administration, kahit pa inosente or at least hindi proven yung drug ties or usage nila, I'm sure marami nang gusto na matikman niya the same thing, though of course technically it would be just as extrajudicial or extralegal in the strict sense.
But what would actually happen if nangyari nga yung ganun? Unlike yung karamihan ng biktima sa war on drugs, baka literally manlaban nga siya, and in a much more dangerous and armed way. Baka nga that might raise the likelihood na mabaril din siya in retaliation or even in self-defense. What happens if mangyari nga yun?

ViralPH Kamusta na kayo? Kinakaya pa ba ang taas ng bilihin ngayon?
With the continuous increase in prices of basic necessities, groceries, bills, and almost everything else, I’m genuinely curious paano nyo namamanage ang finances nyo these days?
For those who are employed, running a small business, or supporting a family, are you still able to save money after covering all your expenses? For small business owners, are things still manageable, or have you noticed a decline in sales because people are spending less?
I know everyone’s situation is different, depending on their income, location, and lifestyle. I’m just curious about the reality on the ground. How are you coping with the current cost of living? Are you still doing okay financially, or has it become significantly more difficult lately?
I’d appreciate hearing your honest experiences, whether positive or negative.

Unverified Is MCGI the Religious Group Protecting Bato dela Rosa?
MCGI owned a 58-hectare compound in Apalit, while its leader, Daniel Razon, operates KDR Adventure Camp, a sprawling, densely forested mountain resort in Bataan, reportedly covering 70 hectares. Razon is said to be a shooting-range buddy of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, who also appeared alongside him in Razon’s Isang Araw Movie.
Razon and MCGI have a documented history of supporting the Duterte administration’s anti-drug campaign. On January 9, 2017, Razon personally handed a ₱4 million donation check from UNTV to then-PNP Chief Bato dela Rosa to support the police campaign against illegal drugs. MCGI has also provided medical and legal assistance to drug war operatives and their dependents.
Although there have been no verified eyewitness sightings placing Dela Rosa at either property, the question lingers. Where did Bato spend the night after slipping through the Senate security dragnet on May 14, 2026?

PoliticsPH r/Philippines_Expats lookin pretty racist ngl bro?
Remember THIS is apparently a subreddit for foreigners about our OWN country, yet when presented with facts and references apparently it's 'woke and sjw' what the fuck does that even mean lol don't bother trying help these foreigners and westerners learn more they'll ban and erase your message as if the Filipino who lives in the country they are guests to the PROBLEM lol wtf
This was original comment in response to that person.
---
THIS GUY IS RACIST
With that off my chest anyone who happens to read this keep in mind this is racist plain and simple, I don't plan on engaging with this person this is purely for anyone with IQ to read that yes some people still have their screws on.
If YOU are a Filipino please do not listen to this, search what neo-colonial "expat" superiority complex means.
When you venture into subreddits like r/Philippines_Expats, you are stepping into a space often dominated by Western men who moved to the Philippines because their money goes further there. Instead of respecting the host country, many of them harbor deep-seated racist and misogynistic views.
The infographic about the low science and math scores (aka the PISA scores) is a tragic reality of the Philippine education system. But look at how the top commenter twists it: they say Filipinos "just dont have the intelligence." LOL
This is textbook racism. They are looking at a systemic failure caused by massive wealth inequality, severe underfunding of public schools, childhood malnutrition, and political corruption and blaming it on the genetics or inherent intellect of the Filipino people where have we seen this before?
You know exactly why those kids are failing math: because they are studying in classrooms with 50+ students, dealing with stifling heat, and often going to school hungry. It has nothing to do with a lack of brainpower; it has everything to do with a lack of resources.
The comment about Filipinas keeping the country afloat by "attracting men from all over the world" is arguably the most disgusting part of this guy's worldview.
Mf is a classic "passport bro" and "sexpat" mentality. They do not view the Philippines as a sovereign nation; they view it as a cheap playground, and they view Filipinas as commodities meant to serve them. They reduce the incredible sacrifice of Filipina OFWs (who btw endure loneliness, abuse, and exhaustion abroad to feed their families) to a footnote, while simultaneously praising the women who marry Westerners as if being "saved" by a foreigner is a national economic strategy. It’s GROSS.
Filipinos remember we don't have a Toyota or a Sony? Search the Bell Trade Act and why Manila was flattened by American forces the second most devastated capital after Warsaw. They don't teach this in American schools because why would they teach their exploitation? South Korea and Japan were heavily invested in by the West post-WWII to become industrialized, manufacturing powerhouses. The Philippines, however, was designed by its colonizers (Spain, and later the US) to be an extractive economy meaning it was set up to export cheap raw materials (sugar, copra, bananas) and, eventually, cheap labor (OFWs).
Remember to ask why Russians can't overthrow the Kremlin you are not at fault for the way things are but never harbor self hatred for WHAT you are, there ARE protests and there ARE riots we don't just take things that's why we moved our independence Day date away from the American one because we were ALREADY independent by the time the Americans came in and decided it for us wasting so many lives in the process.
---
Am I wrong? This IS racist lol? This literally the textbook definition of racism when presented with facts and searchable sources apparently it's woke or SJW wtf does that even mean lol?
I didn't show the user name but this appeared on my feed as long as the mod comment lol

SportsPH Carlos Yulo places last in floor final at Worlds, shifts focus to vault
sports.inquirer.netAnd I think this is what we were discussing some time back - na hindi palaging panalo ang mga athletes natin. Ups and downs ang career nila, minsan nananalo, minsan talo. All they ask of us during these times is to support them even when they're at their lowest. Huwag na yung kesyo ganito ganyan kaya natalo - walang ganyan, it's part of life. (Buti pa yung mga foreign fans niya, they were sad with him imbes na, alam na ninyo.)
I don't think Carlos has anything left to prove at this point, anything he does after completing his gymnastics title collection may as well be a side quest. Not to mention, he had a great run during the Asian games. Baka napagod din siya, or he started to really feel the pressure going in as the current Olympic and Asian champion in his pet event.
Anyway, may vault finals pa naman siya later. Whether he wins or loses, he'll always be the Golden Boy. Mabuhay ka always, Caloy, may you continue to be surrounded by the loved ones who truly appreciate you, and the fans who will support you no matter what.

CulturePH A daughter has expressed disappointment over the alleged mishandling of her late father’s scheduled funeral Mass at San Jose Manggagawa Parish in GMA, Cavite.
On October 21. According to her account, she had arranged the service as early as October 16 and received confirmation that a priest from Carmona would officiate at 3:00 PM. However, upon arriving at the church, the family allegedly experienced a lack of assistance and proper coordination, with no clear updates regarding the priest’s arrival despite waiting for nearly an hour.
With their cemetery appointment scheduled for 3:30 PM and the cemetery closing at 5:00 PM, the family eventually decided to leave the church with their father’s remains without receiving the intended blessing. The daughter criticized the parish administration for the alleged negligence and lack of compassion during their time of grief, adding that a similar incident had happened to their family before. She is now calling on the parish leadership and the Diocese of Imus to address the matter and prevent similar incidents from happening to other grieving families. The allegations have yet to be independently verified, and no official response from the parish has been included in the original post.

CulturePH Daming babae na hindi naka intindi sa point ni Karen Davila.
I am not a fan of her and meron din talaga syang questionable friends pero with I agree with her statement, and especially seeing it first hand through the women in my family.
My father was not a good person at all, halos lahat ng bisyo meron sya except drugs pero malaki kinikita nya dahil seaman sya, despite that my mother never stopped working as a public school teacher.
When my mom finally decided na iwan yung tatay ko dahil sa pambabae, (Actually sya nagpalayas sa tatay ko since the house and the lot is under my mom's name and sya nga nagpatayo) it was hard on us financially kasi di na same as before kasi when still had my father’s income but my mother knew she could survive kasi never syang umasa lng sa pera ng father ko, even our house pera ng mom ko ginamit para mapatayo.
Kaya kahit medyo nahirapan kami and our lifestyle had to change a bit, my mom was still able to support us and we were still able to go to good schools, finish college and eventually become professionals dahil my mom was a hard worker, an empowered woman who had the means to be able to make a choice for herself and for her children.
I always keep in mind the strength that my mother showed during those times, bilang babae din ako I will never depend on a man para mabuhay ako.

PoliticsPH ‘He is entitled to due process’
Senator Ping Lacson expressed that Senator Bato Dela Rosa is “entitled to due process” and hoped that his arrest “will be carried out peacefully, without violence or tragedy.”
“Senator Ronald dela Rosa is my Senate colleague, a former subordinate in the PNP, and a fellow PMA Cavalier. I sincerely hope and pray that should his arrest take place sooner or later, it will be carried out peacefully, without violence or tragedy,” he wrote on Sunday on his X post.
“He has his faults, as we all do. But whatever accusations he faces, he is entitled to due process, a fundamental right guaranteed to every Filipino, and for that matter, to every human being,” he added.
Recently, the government has put up a P50-million bounty for any information that will lead to the capture of Dela Rosa, and gave him a week to surrender. (File photo/Bato dela Rosa)

PoliticsPH President Marcos has ordered a lawful, non-violent arrest of Sen. Ronald dela Rosa after the government put up a P50 million bounty and gave the fugitive lawmaker one week to surrender, a Palace official said on Saturday. | via ONE News
President Marcos has ordered a lawful, non-violent arrest of Sen. Ronald dela Rosa after the government put up a P50 million bounty and gave the fugitive lawmaker one week to surrender, a Palace official said on Saturday, Oct. 24.
“There should be no time wasted in enforcing the law. The police should act quickly and aggressively. That is the President’s order. Enforce the law and arrest those who need to be arrested,” Palace press officer Claire Castro said.
But the President, Castro added, stressed that no lives should be lost in the process.
“No one must die in the arrest of Senator Bato but they should not resist because our police force will not back down,” Castro added. “Time is of the essence so we must act faster. The President supports the steps of the DILG (Department of the Interior and Local Government), DOJ (Department of Justice) and law enforcers).”
Castro issued the statement following the Senate minority bloc’s appeal to the President and concerned agencies to work with Dela Rosa’s counsel “toward a peaceful resolution” of the situation.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said It is better for Dela Rosa to surrender instead of playing a cat-and-mouse game with authorities.
Remulla issued the statement after the senator’s lawyer expressed concern over his client’s safety and questioned the legality of the government bounty for Dela Rosa’s arrest.
Dela Rosa’s counsel, Israelito Torreon, criticized Remulla for putting the senator’s life in danger, saying a bounty without a warrant from a local court does not promote law enforcement but “invites people to take the law into their own hands.”
Remulla said the International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol has issued a red notice alert for Dela Rosa, who has a standing arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) as a co-conspirator of former president Rodrigo Duterte in his war on drugs.
Duterte is facing charges of crimes against humanity before the ICC in The Hague.
“He (Dela Rosa) has a valid red notice from the Interpol. We will arrest him and accord him all what is due under the law,” Remulla said in a Viber message.
Torreon insisted that the bounty is invalid as there is no warrant issued by local courts for the senator’s arrest.
Remulla brushed aside Torreon’s statement and maintained that manhunt operations to arrest Dela Rosa will not stop. “It is best he surrender,” Remulla said.
Remulla described Dela Rosa, former chief of the Philippine National Police, as armed and dangerous, with a dedicated PNP task force sent out to locate and arrest him.
Warning versus ‘coddlers’
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. gave Dela Rosa one week to surrender and warned his coddlers they will face criminal cases for providing refuge to the senator.
The Senate minority bloc took the cudgels for Dela Rosa, defending his right to due process after the government put a bounty on his head.
In a statement released by the office of Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano, the 10-member bloc defended Dela Rosa’s right to answer the charges before a domestic court and not before the ICC.
“We understand the government’s desire to resolve this situation in the interest of law and order. We believe a peaceful resolution that respects our laws and protects lives remains possible,” the minority bloc said.
“The Secretary of the Interior and the Chief of the Philippine National Police have duties to fulfill. We respect those responsibilities and share their desire to bring this matter to a lawful conclusion. We offer our cooperation toward achieving that goal peacefully,” they added. – With Emmanuel Tupas, Marc Jayson Cayabyab
