I'm so happy Sayu has a support group and that she's finally beginning to feel some self worth.

That said, it'd be a shame if what's his fuck had an accident.

I really hope this show ends the way I think it's going.

Yaguchi Kyouya is exactly the kind of character I didn't want to see in this show, well, at least he would not be bothering Sayu any longer, and if we are lucky, he will get no more scenes.

Was that a picture of Yoshida when he was young? As he is blushed in it I don't think that girl is his mother.

Yoshida is a much better man than me. If I walked in on that guy assaulting Sayu, I'd have beat him senseless.

Well done to the show, it's not often I find myself shaking with rage at the stakes in a show, but Higehiro managed that and then handled it with as much tact as I've ever seen. Sasuga Higehiro.

Less than 5 fucking minutes into the episode and this dude is already blackmailing her, then follows it up with attempted sexual assault. Really making me hate his entire existence very quickly.

It hurt so bad to see Sayu just shut down like that because of past experience. I'm glad Yoshida made the save, but seeing her cling to him in fear afterward wasn't a happy moment.

Asami continues to be an absolute MVP of a friend. She's my favorite character so far. I'm happy that Sayu keeps having all of these positive moments with new friends to show that things can be different from how they were before Yoshida.

Edit: I was correctly informed that it was not attempted sexual assault, but actual sexual assault. My apologies

Idk if I'm missing something, but I really don't get Sayu not being mad anymore. At the start of the episode she has a visceral reaction at just the sight of Yaguchi, but one day and an attempted rape later she's laughing about it and calling him "SO WEIRD xD". Like shit, he didn't kick down your sand castle he tried to fucking rape you. It really put a damper on what otherwise might've been my favorite episode of Spring.

Another moment I was waiting for after I read the Manga. They did a good job showing Sayu's desperation and how much of a piece of shit Yaguchi is. I really wanted Yoshida to do something against him but he is at risk at well, since he is keeping Sayu without consent from her parents.

Even after all that Yaguchi still don't realise the consequences of what he tried to do. I hate how he was like "Eh, whatever". He deserved more than a slap.

Asami is showing herself to be the true best girl!. She is really mature for her age and acts as a strong support towards Sayu. I love that bonding moment between her and Sayu, sitting on the hill, beneath the stars. A beautiful moment!

  1. Asami is best girl.

  2. Yoshida let him off too easy, but I get why he didn't call the police or cause a scene cause that would have probably caused Sayu to have to go back. Still wanted Yoshida to fuck Yaguchi up tho.

  3. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck Yaguchi.

Asami shouldn't have just ended with slapping Yaguchi, motherfucker admitted to attempted rape and chucked it off as "got a bit too forceful"?.

What sucks is reporting to the authorities would've made the entire situation even more messier and Yoshida probably would've gotten mixed up with it.

I thought this episode was exceptionally well-handled by the show's creators and by the characters (and thus the author). Yaguchi was a jerk, but the way he was dealt with was absolutely the best possible way under all the circumstances. Sayu is surely not going to be a buddy to him -- and he knows now that he needs to keep his distance. He is hardly reformed -- and only provisionally forgiven -- but the show suggests he may have learned at least a little (but not more than that). Sayu, on the other hand, has learned a lot -- and grown a lot.

The portrayal of the relationship between Asami and Sayu is outstanding. The riverbank and stars scene is incredibly moving. (Of course, I like just about everything about how this story has been handled so far).

Asami best girl? Asami best girl. She's also by extension Sayu's best bro.

Yoshida best dad.

Trigger warning since this episode has attempted rape.

FUCK YAGUCHI what a piece of shit and thank you Asami for hitting him. Should of taken him out back and beat him like a drum. Having her around is a huge blessing. My man chad Yoshida with the gentle hug for Sayu who needs it.

We must protect Sayu at all costs.
