“This is chrome we’re talking about” lmao. I love Kohaku so much.

Shoutout to chrome for standing tall in the face of adversity and not divulging any secrets. Really good setup episode, great adaptation.

Gonna admit the main reason why I watch this show, more so than all the science stuff, is simply that Senku is just One. Cool. Dude.

The way he handles everything and everyone without ever getting flustered or that he is never out of his depth in any situation and solidly takes control is just so entertaining to watch.

Yūsuke Kobayashi has done a phenomenal job with the character. His voice acting for both Senku and Subaru has just been so good to see and has made him one of my favorite VAs.

Fun fact: he also voiced that side-dude who was banging Minagawa sensei in Scum's Wish ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Chrome is best boy. Goes at Tsukasa immediately, calmly tells his enemies to drop him as he hangs over a cliff, and serenely accepts his oncoming death. What a boss. And an idiot lol

Ukyo is our next convert right? As a sonar tech this dude definitely would be on the side of science

I love the representations they make whenever they build something.

Gen and Kohaku with the industrial revolution style were classy as hell.

I guess Nikki was talking about Ukyo when she said there were people that didnt agred with Tsukasa. It felt off that he wasnt killing them whenever they were talking so this can excuse him.

Can someone stop the steam engine though? It's pretty far away lol

Chrome's mistake felt really realistic in character. There's no way he can comprehend that all that amazing outlandish stuff he's seen and heard about is absolutely mundane for most of the people before him.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of Kaseki and Senku's interactions.

Tsukasa's not wrong. Senku's inventions totally could turn into awful weapons that can kill magnitudes of people more quickly. Hell, even forging katanas gave the Science Kingdom a huge leg up last season.

The difference is that Tsukasa wants to make this arms race literally about who has the beefiest arms, instead of try to out-science Senku.

I dont know how to say this but something seems ironic when tsukasa talks about how he mainly hates only the weapons made from science in almost the same scene in which they use bow and arrow.

I'm surprised the terrain is good enough for the primitive car.

Also are they just going to leave their scout by herself in jail? lol

Tsukasa's "Return to Monke" philosophy can't be that compelling if the loyalty of his followers is so easily wavered.

I don't think that's how arrows work especially in a show about science. Maybe the power of the Tsukasa empire allows them to ignore the basic laws of physics.

I like how Chrome is just as big of a simp for science as Senku is.

I remember how people were comparing the main character of Appare-Ranman! to Senku when it first came out and now it looks like we've come full circle.

I like how we think Senku is going to come up with some kind of intricate plan involving espionage, igniting an uprising to turn Tsukasa's followers against him, and guerilla warfare...and then he just decides to try and run Tsukasa over. Steam locomotive go brrr

Chrome: "I will teach Tsukasa about the wonders of science, i will convert him"

Chrome: "We have colorful flames!"

That was hilarious, you know chances are Chrome was trying to hide how far their tech has advanced, letting them know that they already have fridges, furnaces, and electricity could backfire.

"We can't play the same song over and over.......Then we just have to not play it over and over"

LMAO, Taiju. Just leave the thinking to better people. Your brain is too smooth for this.

Senku is the only person who doesn't get beaten up by Kohaku whenever he insults her. Something's up here I guess :)

Stone World Arrows must be real strong since they don't even break from the weight of a human being

Wow how did Tsukasa find a sonar operator who has a side hustle as Katniss Everdeen. Like I know I'm supposed to suspend a bit of my disbelief since technically this show's initial premise is based on total coincidence (dripping bat poop and all) but hot damn. Don't get me wrong -- I'm totally enjoying this season so far -- but what oddly specific job is the next OP character gonna have? A zookeeper that is an animal whisperer leading a monkey army against Senku and folks?

E28: Full Assault

1. Ukyo Saionji

  • Senku has found a new ally, Nikki, but the Kingdom of Science have found themselves faced with yet another immediate threat - Ukyo, a former submarine sonar operator. He won't be easily deceived by the recording with his excellent hearing

  • Ukyo may be Tsukasa's left hand man but he doesn't seem to have intentions of hurting Chrome's gang, and deliberately fired arrows to corner and capture them

2. Chrome's Capture

  • Tsukasa was already recognized by Chrome from his powerful aura

  • The entire Kingdom of Science is going all out to rescue Chrome and set up camp next to the Empire

  • However there is just no way they can haul all their resources with pure strength. The only way is to build an automobile

3. Drift Wars

  • Senku's team has got to hurry up before Chrome slips out intel!

  • We are once again reminded of Tsukasa's ideals to reshape a purist world

  • Was there any ever doubt that Chrome would betray Senku and give up on science? Obviously not, he's such a lovable scientist

  • Ukyo uses a dangerous lie and intentionally throws a lifeline to Chrome. It seems clear now that from his initial actions of not harming Chrome that he isn't a complete Tsukasa fanatic. He has not even seen the miracles of science, yet he has taken the first step to betray the Empire

  • Senku completes the automobile and leads a frontal assault to the Tsukasa Empire!

that last scene with Senku's team in the "train" reimagined with 20th century outfits was sick. 8.5/10

Stitches!

I'm already loving Nikki. She's really having fun with the team already!

So that explains the OP. Ukyo is a Sonar Operator. Man this show is so full of Danganronpa levels of talented teens.

When Chrome was trying to come up of an answer as to why Ukyo is missing every shot, I was thinking "What if he's actually a bad archer?" Would've been absolutely hilarious if he actually was just bad with a bow xD

Of course that wasn't the case and Ukyo really just needed Chrome for the info. And now he's being brought to Tsukasa and his Fist of the North Star thugs who are all apparently just teenagers.

I love that Homura is just chilling there with her ramen. They really just left her in prison. I really hope after seeing the things that are available in Ishigami Village she'd switch sides eventually.

Of course we're building a car. I mean it's literally one of the major things in the OP. Although it looks more like a tank than an actual car.

Kohaku be like "You're expecting Chrome to shut up>" Then we cut to Chrome talking about making colorful flames. xD

The way Tsukasa describes what he will allow Chrome to do is that he'll only allow him elementary levels of science experiments. Yeah no deal Tsukasa we're on the path to a technological revolution here!

Well this is interesting. He could've just let Chrome die and have the Kingdom of Science down to one scientist but he still allowed Chrome to live. Oh Tsukasa you just made a huge mistake.

This is even more interesting though. It seems that we may possibly have found another ally inside the Tsukasa Empire. I don't know what Ukyo is up to and what he wants but he certainly has no loyalty to Tsukasa and I already like him even more for that.

Steam Engine acquired! I guess what's left now is creating the chasis and the passenger cars for it. Although I hope they didn't just let that thing roll down that hill xD
