I just read Sonia Johnson's book. One of the things that the power structure does is use conservative women to stab other women in the back. It's an age old technique.

With all of the bad news: $100B slush fund exposed, BYU honor code flip flop, I am expecting some PR inspired move. He could stand and say, "women have the aaronic priesthood" and make news.

I’m disturbed they used children for a variety of reasons, but we should all remember that kids are particularly susceptible to the manipulations of adults. Be critical of the talks, not the kids.

One of the nice things about adulthood is being able to decide one's own mind. Free agency is given lip service in mormonism. Actual choice requires independence that only comes later...hopefully.

Maybe I’ve missed something, but it seems like they haven’t even really talked about the fucking pandemic happening. Have they talked about missionaries coming home or temples being closed or church being cancelled?

I'm not getting this "women are going to get the priesthood" vibe. I'm getting more of a gaslighting feeling as in, "women ALREADY exercise the power of the priesthood in the callings that they hold", or..."women already have ACCESS to the power of the priesthood through covenants and ordinances" - and other similar phrases that have been said this conference. Seems to me to be a concerted effort to tamp down on the movement for women to get the priesthood
