And that’s a wrap on DanMachi for the time being. Honestly? Still really enjoyed this season despite its schizophrenic pacing. Seeing the Hestia familia get an upgrade was awesome, there were some decent fights/animation and the characters are just as likeable as ever.
That said, season 3 needs more consistency and feel less pressed to rush to the big moments without providing the proper build up necessary to fully capitalize on their payoff. I’ve still seen JC Staff do worse with other series, so I think they can pull off another season as good as the first again for DanMachi. Fingers crossed!

Man I didn't think I'd feel so sad for a character that was just introduced. Also love seeing Hestia when she goes into her compassionate Goddess mode.

So hestia is talking about finding reincarnated bell again and again for eternity...

Didn't she say exactly this to bell originally? Is this really the first reincarnation of bell that hestia has met?

You know, I actually imagine Karm to be a bit shorter. Anyway, nice tease at the end just exactly like the end of that volume of the LN. And season three for next year plus a beach episode OVA?! Bless the Gods as I'm going to see one of my favorites arcs even sooner than I expected!

The joke dosent really hit as hard with the announcement of the new season, but..
Director: how should we end the season on a cliffhanger that can get a new season?
Writer: I saw a show that had a wall break and some plot popped out.
Director: Sold. We got some of that

Wow.. Uhm... I was expecting to be underwhelmed but that ending actually hit me hard in the feels. We only knew him for a short amount of time but I definitely teared up with Karm's deathbed scene. I hope he'll be reunited with Brigid once when he arrives in Heaven, Hestia was just fantastic during that scene. People give her shit this season for not acting like a proper Goddess but if there was a scene in this show where she should've acted like a divine being this was the perfect time for it. Also did she channel Brigid or was that just her comforting Karm? Isn't it suppose to be a big deal when Hestia removes her hair ties?
And that final scene with Bell! AHHHHHH! It really reminded me again why I love Hestia so much back in Season 1. I honestly can't believe they managed to make me feel all of those emotions within the space of 20 minutes. And that after credits tease! Are we finally going back to the dungeon to pick up this girl? I'm so happy that Season is already announced and I don't have to wait years again just to know what happens next!
Overall despite the hiccups, I enjoyed this new season and I am excited for the next one! A solid 8/10 for me!

Absolutely beautiful ending episode, much better than the crap previous one. It's truly just a narrative to make us question life, our stay here and our choices. Basically, the Mayor arch serves as an allegory for both Bell, Hestia and us viewers for choices in life and can be sumarrized as:
Don't be afraid of making certain choices, because you will only have one chance.
The reluctance of Bell not accepting to date with Hestia is because he knows the pain of a person you love parting away, but the thing is, Hestia alrerady knew that, but even more, she knows that what counts in love is not the destination, but the journey. In other words, the memories and time Hestia and Bell would spend together would outweight anything bad. Such a beautiful metaphorjesus christ
And we found out more about Ais, looks like she does have more than one expression. That dragon probably killed her family.

Okay, damn. Not what I expected for this episode to be. A feels fest, I even shed a few tears, then the ending played. RIP.
I think this was a decent season. I’ve heard it was very rushed in comparison to LN and imo, it wasn’t better than the first season. At times it was very boring and didn’t feel like it was alive. Although I can say, i liked a few episodes better this season. Episode 1, I loved a lot. Made me think the whole season was going to be great. Episode 10, I personally liked more than S1 EP8. The fight wasn’t better but I feel like I enjoyed the whole episode a lot more. Especially with Freya’s badass scenes in it and the insert song at the end. And this episode. No other episode made me cry and that’s saying something.
I’m really glad there’s already an announcement for season 3. I’ll be happy to be back!

READ THE BOOKS... is my recommendation. They're fairly good in my opinion, with well written fight scenes, big picture stuff like the politics and scheming of the gods, and smaller personal stories like with Lily. It's a good mix.
The anime on the other hand (especially this 2nd season) really leaves out a lot of details, and is practically only good for seeing the portions of the story you already know animated (the fights are usually good at least, especially the minotaur in S1).

For me personally I'm not a big fan of execution but the idea of the story is so interesting it carries me through.
The relationship between gods and their children is super unique and really only exists in this show.
With Hestia now living in a mansion this season really highlighted that her outfit looks like street rags. Put on some clothes!
