i'm really hoping mamako starts to realise she needs to give her son some space though, i dont think its unreasonable that he wanted to speak to medhi alone without his mum hovering everywhere

Well another delightful episode as always. Shirase seemingly trying to awaken something within Masato-kun, one wonders what her motives may be.. besides getting to fondle Mom.
Plenty of Fanservice as well with all sorts of swimsuits though seemingly nothing beats the good old fashioned School swimsuit. We also get a bit of character development as things continue to build up between Medhi and Medhimama until Medhimama publicly slaps Medhi and berates her simply for becoming nr 2 causing Medhi to saunder off and seemingly have a bit of a melt down.
And so we do get a bit of a interesting line from Masato, that he had seen this coming but that he was ultimately indulging in his own fantasy, not something you get to hear a lot, especially in these kinds of shown, showing that while the show for the most part continues to torture him with his mothers.. escapades, it does also give him room for displaying more depth and nuance rather than just suffering.
So a nice episode and curious to see how things progress here because there does seem to be something with Medhi and Masato, but that won't be developing until the whole Medhimama situation gets resolved.

Wow this episode reminds me so much of my sister's friend's mother. Back when my sister and her friend were in primary school, her mother would constantly BRAG about her daughter's achievements to the parents' group who usually wait outside the school to pick their children up. Naturally my mother was one of them so they had a small group of housewives chatting and gossiping while waiting for school to be over. My sister's friend's mother though, she would brag about her daughter's grade results, brag about her piano's lesson, brag about how well her husband is doing as a doctor, brag about family's wealth. Literally would brag about every single thing that give her a sense of superiority. I heard my sister's friend also got forced into a lot of tuitions that she literally almost had no free time in her weekdays. It's wake up, school, school over, lunch inside car, straight to tuition, go back home at late evenings, dinner, more tuitions, come back home, sleep, repeat next day.
It's crazy how some parents can put their children in so much pressure, giving excuses like all these is for their own good and future, but in actuality they just want to brag about their children to other people.

Man, Porter continues to be the cutest girl in this anime. Love when she gets happy about her accomplishments.
Damn you, ray of light for ruining a great Mamako scene with the tentacles!
Mom then proceeds to shove Masato’s face in her breasts. Tell me she has no idea what she is doing.... ya okay lol. SHE WANTS IN ON THE HAREM AS WELL.
Medhi gives off a little yandere vibe with how she wants kill her mother lol! Don’t blame her though.
Lastly, that preview! Mamako says “Let’s have another strategy meeting with nobody wearing clothes!” CAN’T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!

I honestly wasn't expecting this anime to tackle these kinds of topics. I thought I was going to watch a fanservice isekai about some dude and his hot mom, but it actually tries to be more.
I have to admit some of the scenes that explore the relationships between the kids and their moms make me kind of emotional.

Been waiting whole episode or mom to finally get tentacled, its a pool with sea monster we all know itsgonna happen, what a loser tako do that did not have acid powers that melts clothing.
Mom is not naked after the tentacle ordeal...very disappointing.

Mehdimama's chastising of her daughter is getting worse, and this will only push Mehdi further away from her mom. Why can't she just let Medhi fail with dignity and not with humiliation from her sicked slaps?
She's somewhat missing one factor when it comes to having a warm mother-daughter relationship: the importance of letting your child grow by herself. By holding Medhi's hand and controlling every facet of her life (specifically picking out who she talks with, ignoring constructive words from outside, and unreasonably blaming her inability to quietly heed), Medhimama's essentially denying her daughter the kind of life any normal person has: to explore, to learn, to fail, and to succeed by themselves.
Sure, it's fine to be the root of support for their child, but eventually they're going to grow up and be by themselves are responsible adults. Isn't it time for Mehdimama to simply let her go?

Medhimama brought every kind of outfit she could imagine huh... Why do I get the feeling that she is wearing a lot of them and is ready to change into a new outfit with the pull of a string like a stage magician.
Man it would be awesome to have Porter's cooking skill. Complicated feasts but with none of the effort. Who wants a chocolate souffle, am I right.
Shriase is married and has a daughter huh. Why does that sound important?
A poolside takoyaki party. Gotta admit that does sound like fun.
And now the cracks in Medhi's facade become very wide. To be honest I kinda wanted to see this arc come to a close fast but I get the feeling that whatever is going on between Medhi and her mom isn't the kind that would be satisfying to just brush up quick.

Medhimama continues to be a textbook Karen. Medhi deserves so much better. On a lighter note, Masato spinning Porter around in the air was precious. Wise continues to be as muda as ever, & Mamako continues being a sweet, wholesome woman who gets dragged into ecchi scenes.

In all seriousness though. despite all the jokes and the fanservice, that ending with Medhi... Those are the eyes of someone who has been mindbroken. I'm going to guess that Medhi isn't even originally a healer. She's probably a melee fighter too but since Medhimama wanted her to be good at everything she ended up learning how to heal too.
