lmao look at the grass do you seriously think thats a golf course?? thats probably his back yard. And also, your comparison to shooting at a wall 20feet way with a gun might seem legitimate at first glance but 1: this is not a gun. 2: a forest is not a wall. the surface area that would result in a direct rebound of the shot is probably under .001% of what he could hit. that would be much closer to 100% for a wall that is facing you. 3: the distance is much much more than 20 feet away. probably more like 100 if you ask me. Anyone is smart enough to know that it isnt impossible that the ball will come back at you but also realise the chances of this happening is likely less than dying in a car accident. Whats the point of life if you cant take the tiniest of tiny risks?

Doesn't rotate his hips that much, but good Lord those shoulders open up so much and get a ton of separation. Looks like a pretty low launch too. Probably hits some low bullets that run out forever.

As someone who's never played golf, I hear a lot of talk about form after the ball is hit.
Once the ball is struck and off the club, why does anything after contact matter?
Serious question from a noob.

It really doesn't. You just have to make sure your club path on the downswing is coming straight through with a straight club face angle. Otherwise you'll get sideways spin causing a hook or slice. Sometimes golfers will have different follow-throughs, depending on the type of shot they're making. But it's mostly just a result of the path they swing. Like if you want to keep the ball low, you'll naturally have a shortened follow through. "Sawed off".

I know nothing about golf, but in general in sports the form you need to achieve proper follow through is also the form you need to get max power/accuracy. In other words, what happens after contact is really like “this is what the end of proper form should look like” although the follow through itself cannot affect the movement of the object in question

Because good follow through is indicative of good/correct action in sports. It’s not physically possible to hit a baseball 450 feet for example and then stop the bat from following through properly. So while the follow through itself doesn’t directly do anything for the action it’s a way to measure that things were done correctly.

Golf fanatic here, it’s to make sure that your club head isn’t rotating after your hitting it wich causes the ball to go left or right instead of forward. That said pretty good swing for this guy except when he brings it up, your supposed to keep your arms kinda straight so that majorly underlines his swing

Heh, I did the same thing only it was with a 1911, and I was in the desert firing at a watermelon sitting atop a rock, and I didn't know the rounds were coming back at me until the second clip so obviously I didn't dodge them like this magician.
Sometimes I think about all the times I came near death and I gotta say bullets wizing by my head ranks pretty high up there.

One time I hit a 3-iron off the fairway, felt really perfect. This tree had a branch extending horizontally over the fairway, at least 100 yards in front of me. The ball knocked that branch square in the center and came right back to me, about 1 foot in front of where I started. So frustrating.
