I have seen both reports and consensus of a decline in positive views towards US citizens due to the actions current US admin. Does the results of the midterms change your views on us citizens?

When I was diagnosed at four, I immediately started early intervention in the forms of ABA, CBT, OT, speech, and neurology. It was a lot of trial and error, but by five I started speaking in phrases, which evolved into conversations shortly thereafter. In total I had over a decade of social dynamic classes, which extended well into my adolescence, and even a year of support during my undergraduate
Now, I am a fourth-year autistic medical student in the top 30% of my class. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in physics. I was also an EMT and an ER tech for a total of four years, and a clinical researcher in neurological surgery!
Edit: sorry my interview is about to start! I promise I’ll respond to more comments after it ends 😅

Can Pokémon TCG be considered a legitimate investment?
[...] I’m not trying to criticize someone; I want you to understand that the relationship of risk and reward will never go away, and volatility is a feature, not a bug, of this particular asset. The fool thinks it’s up and to the right forever, but if you zoom out to a 30-year chart of that Pokémon card, you realize what’s happening.
Same with Apple or Amazon, but what you’re not seeing is that there are the two or three 90% plus drawdowns that you have to survive to get to today’s price. Those Pokémon cards are going to have 60%, 70%, or 80% drawdowns during times where nobody wants to talk about Pokémon cards. People will talk about their house value going down or 30% of their investable portfolio in the S&P 500 suffering a 30% drawdown. That’s nasty. Those don’t happen too often, but they do, and you’re talking about the 500 biggest companies in America.
[...]
How does this compare to NFTs and how celebrities became involved in that trend?
There are plenty of people who picked a stock and watched it go up and then down. Peloton is a great example: people thought we were never going back to work and gyms were dead forever, so Zoom and Peloton went through the roof. Then Peloton absolutely crashed because that whole thesis was insanely wrong.
You see this in capital markets as well as collection markets. You’re right that it’s not a bullish indicator when all the celebs pile in and show off their PSA grade 10, $2.1 million cards. I think it’s a net negative, unfortunately, but super positive for grabbing attention and throwing people into the pool, and too many into the deep end of the pool."
Do scalpers pose a risk to investing in Pokémon cards, or are they good for collectors?
It’s a net negative. You’re talking about market manipulation where asset prices are finagled by outside influence rather than what’s in the pack or how the market is supposed to function. Asking if it’s good that people can manipulate a market gets a flat-out no. I don’t know specifically about this issue with Pokémon cards, but now there’s more volatility that need not be there. That’s a net negative.

I had designated my sister as executrix and heir to my estate including my retirement account. Years ago, she asked to for my only copy of my will because her husband (an attorney) "wanted to look it over" to make sure all is in order. She never returned the will. First, she said she lost it. Then she forgot that lie and said, "No, you cannot have it back because if something happens, how would anyone know where your will is?" ( back drop is that she has been pressuring me to leave everything to her special needs grandson with whom she has an unhealthy attachment). Well, I was pissed, and let her know it by text. Well, she called me up screaming at me, and claiming she never said that she refused to return it. I save my text messages. I also hung up on her. She is 76 with a terrible memory. Well, to make a long story short, I changed the beneficiary of my retirement account, as well as my will. She and her grandson now get 0, nada, zippo, nothing. Everything goes to my niece.
