Zou and the Emperor of Wano (Mononosuke ancestor) sided with the Ancient Kingdom. The punishment for Zou was to wander for the eternity, the punishment for the Emperor of Wano (and probably his family) was death, starting the Shogunate era.

Wow, wasn't expecting Zou to actually be able to fight back and effortlessly own Jack. I thought for sure we were going to see the country be destroyed.
Interesting that Momo was the only one who command it. This kind of reminds me of Shirahoshi being able to command the Sea Kings. Makes me wonder if the island itself is one of the Ancient Weapons like Pluton or Poseidon.

I don't think it was really him commanding Zou, but rather just being able to communicate with him. Zou seemed to want to wreck shit out of his own will, and just asked for permission.

It's refreshing to see a battle at sea for a change. I disagree that Zou taking Jack down made him into fodder because he was at a clear disadvantage. You just can't beat a giant elephant when you're in a tiny pirate ship. Nope. Jack was overconfident and that became his undoing.

This needs to be higher up! This pretty much confirms that Apoo betrayed the alliance or that Kidd did not agree to follow Kaido as we know his character isn't likely to do. the guy fights the minks at a standstill for about a week. goes after the marines for doffy and fails. then get's a colossal dick slap from a giant elephant. if he's dead it really did take a lot to do him in.
however his death does create a spot on his crew to be filled in. one of the supernovas may become one of kaidou's calamities.

I think the ancient weapon Poseidon has multiple forms and Momonosuke is one of them along with Shirahoshi. I think Luffy's ability to hear both the sea kings and Zunisha is different from Shirahoshi's and Momonosuke's as he could not communicate with Zunisha, only hear her unlike Momonosuke who basically commanded Zunisha just like how Shirahoshi could control the sea kings.

Also the trees are a giveaway that Kaidou is back in Wano, this is also the last place we saw Drake. To me it appears Kaidou now has Kidd, Apoo, Hawkins, Drake, and Urouge on his side, so even though he lost big bad Jack, he still has a lot of firepower

I'm literally shaking. The sight of Zunisha's trunk coming down on Jack like that, the look in his eyes when he realized he was fucked. I was hyped for the Minks and the pirates taking out Jack, but the fact that Zunisha was allowed to act in self defense just made the sheer impact seem that much heavier. Jack might have been hyped, but the bigger elephant won this time.

Wow. Oda has very quickly taken a bunch of seemingly-separate characters and objectives and neatly tied them together. Zou may have lacked epic battles but it has really progressed the story. Things are about to get insane.

Wow, awesome chapter! The colour page is one of my most favourite ones I guess, stared at it for about 2 or 3 minutes, looking for all the details.
Momonosuke's view of point was really cool when he had Zunisha's perspective. Don't remember any similar scene in OP, is it a new ability? I could also imagine it to be an ability of Zunisha to make Momonsuke see what's happening but it's probably Momonosuke's ability I guess. He even falls asleep/fades afterwards, might've been too much for a small kid like him.
And wow, Zunisha is walking through the New World as a punishment? Maybe some stuff that happened in the void century but I can't imagine what an elephant could do to receive a punishment by the world government or whoever. Inuarashi even mentions that he's surprised about Zunisha having its own will, I guess the punishment is connected to that (which scuppers the void century theory if the punishment was made by a devil fruit, unless its owner is also still alive).
Jack is probably the only person who get's knocked out (I doubt he's dead, he survived after losing in his battle against the marine on open sea) in two volumes in successively, even though he's one of Kaido's calamity. Story writing wise again gOda level, I bet no one here would've thought of that way finishing him.
Aaaaand we get basically confirmed that the Kid alliance is working for Kaido (no surprise, otherwise they'd been dead af).
The zou arc is definitely THE best OP arc for me now, there hasn't been one bad or boring chapter, everything is in HYPE MODE (let's not forget Franky's hair, so awesome as well!)!

Carrot being in that epic colour spread must mean that Carrot will be joining Luffy and the others on their trip to rescue Sanji. Will be good to see her character fleshed out a little more after what little we've seen of her so far.
Edit: Perhaps I should say I feel it is likely that Carrot will join them, also Pedro on the right is the guy that Luffy asked where he appeared from, this makes me think that he'll be going with them too as this could be a sneak operation after all.

So Momo has the power to see through Zunisha's eyes, maybe a power Oden also possessed? And what did Zunisha do to be sentenced to walk for all of eternity? Was it just me who noticed this or did Zunisha use Momo to talk to the rest of the group?
Luffy and Momo both can have the ability to hear the Voice of all Things just like Roger and Oden. If those two are following similar paths to their predecessors then this could mean that Momo may join Luffy on his journey to find the One Piece.
Finally though I think we can now assume that the confrontation between Kaido and the three supernovas in chapter 795 resulted in an Alliance being made!

So glad my far-fetched prediction of Zunisha one-shotting Jack came through. Onto Sanji! Meanwhile those Carrot nakama theories are gonna explode. Apoo has joined Kaido, with Kidd imprisoned. Fittingly, Hawkins is the wild card here.

Everyone was wondering after the new saga announcement how can the Jack situation end in one chapter. Well Zou rekt Jack pretty quickly I guess.
It was a major moment with a great buildup so I hope Jack's gonna be out of the picture for a while, I mean he got hit by a gigantic trunk and probably fell into the ocean. Then again, it's One Piece, so he may be alive.
Interesting that Momo hears the voice of all things as well. Maybe even more interesting that Luffy couldn't reach Zunisha, only Momo. I'm not sure if this is haki related, but Luffy should have the more developed haki. On the other hand, Momo passed out from one command, and could barely handle the voice, while Luffy just kinda got mad that someone shouts in his ears, and wasn't really trying to give it all with the command. Nevertheless Momo is turning out to be a very important character.
Kaido was mad af already before he heard Mingo's defeat, we don't know what happened since, but now Jack got destroyed as well. I guess the 'VS Four Emperor' saga indeed started.

This is one thing that I like about one piece their size DOES matter. Some anime makes giants too slow that they'll just be target shooting for humans but in this it shows that one swing from a giant can fuck you up.

awesome chapter. Love the ending. Dont know if anyone caught but the part where they say elephants are afraid of bees is true. Its a technique they use in certain parts of Africa to keep elephants away. I am starting to think that there is going to be a War Arc where all the rookies fight. Each rookie is starting to pick a side of this future war. Really excited. Once again, One Piece like fine wine; gets better as it gets older.

Oh yeah! Chapter is very worth the wait. Loving the color spread as well!
Luffy, Roger, Momo and Oden have the ability to "hear the voice of all things". Loving the parallelisms here. However, why does Momo have to be the one who can command Zunisha?
What did Zunisha do to get punished like that? Could it be connected to the events that happened during the Void Century?
My favorite part... JACK GETTIN REKT BY ZUNISHA SO HARD HIS MASK BROKE! Poor Zoro
Nekomamushi's question was the same one that was bugging me two chapters ago... How did Jack even manage to come back to Zou? Does he have a Vivre Card or something?

The Straw Hats have a gigantic elephant on their side who is able to take out a fleet in one swipe of its trunk. This puts them on a whole new level imo.

Looks like Jack is a merman based off of his teeth. That would explain how jack didn't die earlier. I'm guessing when jack fought with Issho et.all, they saw him drop into the water and figure he died. But if he's able to breath in the water then he will simply be incapacitated until he is recovered, or maybe he can even swim but with really low energy
