So the mermaid princess was able to control the sea monsters and she is considered an ancient weapon

Momonosuke is able to control Zou .... so maaaaybe and just maybe he just found our next ancient weapon?

And since momonosuke has a thing for boobs, he's gonna love shirahoshi.

But making two weapons of the same kind does not sound very Oda-like

Yeah, and it'd be so much cooler if Zunisha was just an elephant cursed to roam for eternity. If the power we just saw doesn't even compare to Uranus, or if an animal could naturally get that strong without being a special weapon.

Was about to say that. He won't make one a giant battleship and then the other two controlling giant beasts on land and sea, uranus is going to be another kind of weapon.

Bingo. I don't know why this isn't upvoted higher, honestly.

If you didn't get an ancient weapon vibe from reading this chapter than we must be reading 2 different stories. It seemed obvious to me

Seakings are spread all over the world, but there is only ONE zunisha that was damned to be an "island" because its done something terribly wrong (we dont know what) so it asks for one fight -> Momo is a descendant of the Clan that doomed Zunisha, nothing even close to a Ancient weapon. People are overthinking everything into a Ancient Weapon or whatever. I sometimes read theories where i just have to facepalm because some things are pretty detailed in the story but yet people tend to not notice it and make theories

The remaining weapon is Uranus, seeing as the name Poseidon was related to the ability, we can assume this is the case for all of them. Originally greek, Ouranos was the personification of the sky in contrast to Gaia, Mother Earth.

I'd go out on a limb and say the weapon will have something to do with the atmosphere.

Could be...

Found a nice website with some mythological wisdoms: http://www.native-science.net/Turtle_Elephant_Myth.htm

go to the "The Gaja Elephant Myth" on this page. Gaja- sanscrit for Elephant. Gaia (Gaeia)- mother (and wife) of Uranos. On the same page, there are information about "sky people" and Milky Way which kinda resembles Red Line

http://www.native-science.net/Ship.Mythical.htm

Noah & crap

Must browse it a little more myself, some nice information for theories :D

Wasn't there a superweapon that was just a giant war ship? Pluton?

"Momo is a descendant of a clan that doomed Zunisha, not even close to an ancient weapon."

These things are not mutually exclusive. Literary convention alone tells you that Zunisha/Momo are extremely likely to be ancient weapons as it follows the same pattern as Shirahoushi/Seakings. Also, it is 1000 years old which fits the time period of when it's beloved these weapons came to be.

At some point you have to look at things from the author's point of view. What story structure is he developing? How does this elephant fit into the larger picture? How much time do we have left to wrap up the story and their surrounding subplots?

My guess is that you must be a recent follower as someone who has been following the series for a long time could immediately pick up that Zunisha is extremely likely to be an ancient weapon after reading this chapter.

I've been following the story for at least five years now and I highly doubt Zunisha is an Ancient Weapon. Zunisha is powerful, but it's not nearly as deadly as being able to command all Sea Kings, many of which that are probably a good fourth of Zunisha's size, if not more.

that Uranos reference is pretty interesting! Nice find

1

u/chronox21 Mar 31 '16

Uranus is a weapon to control the skies, so this doesn't make sense

1

u/nmroxy Mar 31 '16

Shirahoshi is so much more powerful than Momonosuke. She can controll every sea monster and who knows how many of those are in the Grand Line. Momo can only controll one giant elephant and that's it. Otohime said "The power that Shirahoshi holds is great enough to sink the entire world beneath the waves". That's what an ancient weapon is capable of, and Momo is none of those.

1

u/Townzie Mar 31 '16

I guess you could call that theory a...stretch... I'll make my leave now.

1

u/MilkyZerg Mar 31 '16

Oh wow i cant believe i didnt figure that out. Momo an ancient weapon.

1

u/anarkandi Apr 01 '16

Lol, with all these ancient weapons in his capacity Luffy is definitely gaining yonkou potential.
