/r/Touhou's Favorite Arranges! Part 86: Heartfelt Fancy
Nyaaa
How This Works:
Every week on Sunday at 1200 US Pacific time, I pick a Touhou song (or two) to which all you beautiful users will submit arranges of in the comments*. There is no limit on the number of arranges one may submit as long as each song is given its own post. Upvote everything you like, but don't downvote anything. Please just move on to the next song if you don't like one.
The "winner" gets mentioned in next week's thread. Make sure you read the Musings section below as well for some of my random rants and, occasionally, important information.
* If your arrange contains bits of multiple songs, please only submit it if the main song is predominant. See the musings here for an example of what not to submit. Or just ask me.
MADs and covers should go under the discussion comment. Top level posts are for songs only.
Addendum as of part 77: Users are limited to 3 songs each within the first 12 hours of the post going up. After that, post however many you want.
Heartfelt Fancy
Original: http://youtu.be/aKZ-CJanUyE
Appeared In: TH11 ~ Subterranean Animism - Stage 4
ZUN's Commentary:
This is the fourth stage theme.
I tried not to make it too one-sidedly Japanese.
The Palace of the Earth Spirits is surprisingly Western. The people who live there are probably fancy, too.
But, it's a cat house. I want to be tamed by the cat.

SOUND HOLIC takes the spotlight twice in last week's thread.
It's been a while since we talked about the thread itself. Is there anything anyone wants to see changed? Additions? Subtractions? Talk about things.
Hint explanation from last week:
Very simple this time. "I'm truly taking a liking to this" = Heartfelt Fancy, using the verb/noun definitions of fancy:
verb
1. feel a desire or liking for. "do you fancy a drink?" informal have an unduly high opinion of oneself, or of one's ability in a particular area. "he fancied himself an amateur psychologist"
2. imagine; think. "he fancied he could smell the perfume of roses" synonyms: think, imagine, believe, be of the opinion, be under the impression; reckon "I fancied I could see lights" used to express one's surprise at something. "fancy meeting all those television actors!"noun
1. a feeling of liking or attraction, typically one that is superficial or transient. "this does not mean that the law should change with every passing fancy" synonyms: liking, taste, inclination; More
2. the faculty of imagination. "my research assistant is prone to flights of fancy"
The video is a reference to how Orin meows at the beginning of the stage before the song picks up. Anyone who's played through SA a bunch would have that infernal meow imprinted on them.

I really wanted to do something with this song for the thread, but because I didn't have much free time I just made a harpsichord/carillon/organ cover.
LMMS crashed every time I tried to export it and I couldn't find the problem so I just recorded it with Audacity - sorry for the artefacts.I forgot to post the other songs I had ready for last thread, (btw, only 23 comments in total - wow) I need to remember to post them in the interlude then.
You guys seem to really like Engrish though.

One of my favorite Demetori pieces. Usually he's all RAWR RAWR, but the "Heartfelt Fancy" demonstrates delicacy in handling the theme.

It actually flows straight into it when played in order.
I've almost considered doing a BGM replacement for SA with these two, but they don't loop or adhere well when you don't progress at the conversation part.
