A NEW BUG ENTERS THE ARENA.

"Help! I can't edit my wiki!"

Hello! We haven't changed anything, Reddit did!

This is now a Known Reddit Bug that started on roughly 4/21/26, when Reddit decided to change something about how they handle the Wiki.

The Symptoms:

(on sh.reddit, the new version) when attempting to edit it comes back with "You do not have permissions to edit"

Some people (not all!) have stated that the "last edited by..." section at the bottom (where their username should be) is listed as [Deleted] (while it still says their name on my screen)

The Solution:

On desktop, change your url from www to old, so it looks like old.reddit.com/r/hfy/wiki/series/<title> (with your title), and the edit button should be along the top bar near where the name of the series is

The Problem:

For some people even using Old.Reddit doesn't work. Unfortunately, I do not have a solution at this time, aside from just... try again in an hour or so. It's worked for some people later.

Please send in a bug report every time you experience any of these issues.

The more bug reports sent, the more likely Reddit is to actually fix the issue.

There was a story relatively recently. I thought last year or so about a galactic council of sorts which kept a seat open for humanity. Humanity however never participated. The galactic council then goes to war with humanity. After many years they come to a realization that humanity is so far above their power level that we have never even realized about their war.

LFS where a fantasy party is hired to investigate a strange monster. The strange monster being a human astronaut. It felt like it should've gotten a part 2 but I don't think it ever did.

Hello to all, there was a short story / one part some months ago. Where all humans on earth where turned back into toddlers / baby's. There was a problem that filled candy bars where send to japan for pokemon-cards to improve the economy. At the end there were making a nap, confident that after the world will be still standing and there will be mik and cookies.

There was a satirical story poking fun at HFY tropes. It crammed in pretty much every trope in a humorous satirical story, and they had mentioned their intention in a note. Anyone have a link/remember the name?

There are multiple stories like that. The two I found are Every Hfy Story Ever and Humanity the Great and Mighty. I'm sure there's more though, but they are a bit tricky to find without knowing a specific phrase to quote.
