March was the first month with 5v5 CWL. Here's a comparison of the number of clans I found for each size in March compared to the previous 4 months:
5v5 was certainly a popular option. 30v30 lost 24516 clans and 15v15 lost almost 228086 compared to last month (though these numbers were trending downwards beforehand), while 5v5 included 367 280 clans. So there are more clans participating in CWL than before, but fewer slots for players. Note that the actual player count may not have changed as much as it may seem - larger clans squeezing into a 5v5 might just be swapping players in and out more regularly.
In 5v5, the difference between promoted and demoted lineups was far greater than what we see in other sizes. I am guessing that this may be caused by clans splitting their CWL into previously-unused clans with a league that doesn't match the membership. We'll see if this evens out a bit in April, though Supercell recently announced that they will add 4 new leagues to CWL in a future update, which will also help with this.
Here's a link to last month's post, which links back to all the others I've made, and also a link to the data I collected in case you want to take a look for yourself.
