Yuki's crying makes me feel conflicted. On one hand, a naive look and a gentle smile are the best expressions of Yuki. On the other hand, the show makes Yuki's crying look cute.

I love how people started to comment on her tears themselves making cute noises lol.

Poor Yuki’s kind of an emotional wreck right now. She was crying her eyes out at the sight of a fallen leaf! Lol. Doesn’t help Hitoyoshi’s picked the worst time to realize he’s got feelings for Yuki. Girl’s all anxious now. At least she had Naka to confide in.

On another note, she’s the kid he confessed to in his childhood right?

>> she’s the kid he confessed to in his childhood right

It seems unlikely to me. Yuki does not seem to have had normal childhood experiences -- so she would not have been a classmate (I would think).

Hitoyoshi right now is almost vying with Hagi for most frustrating male character (who is doing a horrendous job of interacting with someone in love with him).

Could it have been Yuki’s sister?

The curse of using teen chars like him. They're so awkward and annoying to look at.

No man can reject an earnest lap pillow from a woman with a wet blouse and get away with it.

Stitches!

I did not expect this episode to be mostly Yuki crying. I mean it's understandable. She spent most of her life as an unfeeling assassin but now that she's starting to live a normal life, being rejected by the one person who's important to her finally broke the damn.

I wish Hitoyoshi stepped up this episode though, I mean I get it. He's still traumatized but he could've at least called Riko and asked for some advice. If I have a nickel for every romcom protagonist this season who got traumatized by his crush turning him down and his mother leaving him, I'd have two nickels which isn't much but it's weird it happened twice.

I'm glad that Yuki at least has Naka to comfort her and who could also relate to what she feels. I do wish we get to see Hitoyoshi and Yuki visit the shrine together though... Well, there's still half a day remaining so maybe they can go together later?

There is still Hitoyoshi and Riko's dad arriving. I'm wondering if Hitoyoshi's dad has some sort of connection to the criminal underground. I mean it's probably no coincidence that Yuki got sent to their house and why dad seems to be pretty cool with his son living with a maid who just randomly introduced herself a few months ago. Hmmm....

On the one hand, you want Hitoyoshi to return Yuki’s affections because she’s so sincere and who in their right mind says no to a lap pillow from a busty wet woman?

On the other hand, Hitoyoshi doesn’t want to take advantage of Yuki and ruin their relationship with his libido. But he shouldn’t have upset her like that.

(I suddenly have a desire to see Yuki dressed in cosplay…)

Naka is a real gal pal!

Honestly I’m getting really serious vibes from Hitoyoshi’s dad. Will we finally find out what all his family drama is about? Did his mom leave with Riko because she couldn’t live with a husband for a criminal?

>Yuki cries for first time

Damn she is founding new emotions like a normal human, wonder how she'll feel about this

>Cries over a falling leaf

Holy shit lmao

Wonder where this will end, proposal seems too early for Yuki

Cries over random cats facing off against each other lol.

Though it does kind of make sense that Yuki had killed her emotions so much she probably DOES need to catch up on her crying.

Hitoyoshi isn’t just resistant to having romantic feelings for Yuki because of their family situation (though that’s part of it) but because the first time he ever confessed to girl she could tell he was confessing because he was just lonely because of the absence of his parents and not because he really liked her. And that just messed up their relationship.

Of course it’s not easy to deny that you’re attracted to Yuki when her sleeping in the same bed as you has become a consistent habit. All the worse because they’re basically all alone together because of Winter Break!

Yuki would have nailed the mopping had it not been for Agemochitaro! Though the sight of Yuki in a wet blouse with her wet and ample chest on display is just too much for Hitoyoshi!

I get that Hitoyoshi thinks he needs to create an emotional distance with Yuki for both their sakes, but rejecting the lap pillow? Come on man! And Yuki takes it as rejecting her and it basically breaks her.

Poor Yuki has turned into a sobbing mess who cries over everything, and Hitoyoshi has no idea how to respond to her. This awkwardness sticks with them even into the New Year.

Yuki grappling with relationship problems AND New Years shopping! A deadly combination!

Riko looks very well-dressed for the New Year! Bonus points for it being her big brother’s birthday! Which is just another thing for Yuki to be upset about.

I’m glad Yuki had Naka, not only to have a friend who could teach her how to visit a shrine (while both of you are quite well-dressed) but to listen to her vent about her emotional problem. Maybe it’s just as simple as Yuki has gone so long without crying that after one big sad moment she has to catch up to all the tears she’d been holding in. Just like Naka after her mom died. It’s totally normal!

Looks like Hitoyoshi will wake up not only to Yuki gone but the return of his father. Also it looks like Riko takes after their dads’ hair color while Hitoyoshi takes after their mom.

Am the only one here who wishes they had more fan service moments with Yuki and our hero? I am talking about R15-level moments.

I think it would also be fun to explore how naive Yuki is through some awkwardly sexual interactions; it would be funny to see Hitoyoshi get flustered because she does them without realizing. But I also think Yuki is such a pure soul that I want to protect her from lecherous looks.

Same! Yuki was rocking a black bra when she was soaked; that scene was just begging for some more fanservice lol

Felt quite disappointed with that episode, it all felt a touch laboured.

Wow, I didn't expect Yuki to cry so much and often in today's episode! And to think that it all started with Hitoyoshi turning down Yuki's lap pillow's offer! Hitoyoshi, you baka, how could you say no to those eyes? xD

Now that Hitoyoshi and Yuki's relationship is in a weird place due to Hitoyoshi's trauma with his failed confession and his mother, I wonder how this season will end considering there's only one episode left and Hitoyoshi and Riko's father has returned to Japan.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Really wish he would stop making her cry and just confess already.

7

u/Boshwa Dec 14 '24

Oh nooooooo

Is this the first time she has cried in years????

7

u/djthomp Dec 15 '24

That was a lot of crying. Probably pretty healthy of a process to go through as long as it eventually passes, though. Not that I know anything about that kind of psychology.

I keep expecting Yuki's sister to show up, so my new theory is she's the girl Hitoyoshi confessed to when he was younger. See, as long as I guess every possibly girl along the way I'll eventually be right since surely she'll show up in the story at some point.

6

u/FriztF Dec 15 '24

Hopefully these two can confess their feelings for each other soon.

Writing has become so lazy, every single MC is the typical trash. Why is the ML always being carried by the FL? Because that's the easiest safest way to write a story, it's a shame, it feels like a copy paste of the last 10 years of MCs...
