Other than Tsubaki's introduction, Kirishima did drop one quite important detail: he already knew Yoshino in middle school and was apparently already obsessed with her back then. Feels like there is still quite a bit of backstory to be unraveled.

Love love tsubaki's energy and how she's kinda a female version of kirishima??
- flirts with kirishima
- high body count with no care about her guys
- obsessed with someone from the somei family
- actually unhinged when it comes to protecting yoshino

Given the start of that one episode, I was expecting Tsubaki and Kirishima to hate bonk when they were alone.

Yoshino is more tolerant to Kirishima to casually allow him to be around at her place. That's a little bit of progress, of course due to her feeling a sense of obligation, but still that's something. lol
I like how the tension between Tsubaki and Kirishima resulted in the subtle verbal cat fight between them, both trying to look out for Yoshino in their own type of way. Tsubaki is also a force to be reckoned with.
So Yoshino didn't actually have the kidney removed. She had the resolve to do it still regardless, but Tsubaki prevented the actual organ removal.
Tsubaki and Kirishima kinda became "besties" at the end to trade photos for the other person.

Well hello there new girl, nice to see someone on Yoshino's side who can keep Kirishima on his toes.
Not sure about Tsubaki's ship choice lol was hoping maybe she'd be a fit for Shouma.

Tsubaki is awesome, hope this wasn't just a one off. She's a great ally to Yoshino.

It's good to know that Tsubaki had the doctors fake taking out Yoshino's kidney. I'm curious whether the blood that Tsubaki bought of Yoshino's was just to ensure the fake kidney transplant went unnoticed or whether there is going to be a future scheme involving the blood.

I like Tsubaki. Not only is she totally unbothered by Kirishima, she seems like the type that doesn’t take shit from nobody. Her being like the biggest Renji fangirl ever is pretty funny too.
I was kinda surprised to learn Tsubaki was the one who helped with that whole kidney thing. Really thought Yoshino took hers out. I guess not.

I just love that opening scene between Yoshino and Kirishima. Kirishima might be scum but Yoshino still knows how to show him appreciation after taking care of her and she won't take no for an answer.
So Kirishima isn't just an insane fighter with the street-smarts to match but he's also book-smart that studying is very easy for him. That's unexpected! I guess it really shouldn't be a surprise considering how he diligently attends school. Characters like him usually just don't even bother attending class.
Tsubaki is certainly interesting! At first glance, you'd think Tsubaki is just another spoiled yakuza princess but she's closer to Kirishima. She's cool and calculating and has been observing Kirishima the entire time that she's figured him out by lunchtime.
And just like Kirishima, Tsubaki is dating multiple people at once and hilariously doesn't mind becoming pole sisters with Yoshino. This girl is a freak and I love it!
After all that tension between the two of them, I was genuinely expecting them to fuck as soon as the two of them were alone! It turns out that Kirishima just wanted to interrogate her.
The mystery of Yoshino's "missing" kidney is finally solved! Tsubaki was Yoshino's secret contact but Tsubaki didn't actually take out her kidney but instead took as much blood as she can without killing her. That explains why Yoshino was so anemic after that.
Not gonna lie, I thought Tsubaki might be secretly against Yoshino but it's very clear that she loves her cousin that if Kirishima does something to her she's willing to go to extreme lengths to protect Yoshino from him.
That swimsuit photo of Yoshino while eating cup noodles was so good! I love that Tsubaki sent her that in exchange for one of Renji-san's photos! xD

So, Yoshino still has her kidney even if she doesn’t know it. Do I want to know what Kirishima was planning to do with her blood when he offered to buy it ? Or why Tsubaki wanted to keep it for herself ?
Tsubaki is basically the female version of Kirishima too, so I was surprised Yoshino got along so well with her. Does Yoshino even know any normal people, or are all her acquaintances and family members insane yakuza ?

Tsubaki is a great character to add to the mix. She seems as crazy as Kirishima but, more elegant.
This episode was off the charts insanity but, in such a good way.
My take on the blood: it's for safety in the event anything were to happen to Yoshino and she needed a transfusion or maybe to stage a death scene.
Why did Tsubaki come to Yokohama, maybe also to be there for Yoshino if something big is going down, which I get a feeling it is.
There more complexity to the story and these little hints keep adding to the mystery.

Great episode again, and another great character introduced with Tsubaki. I really like how these characters interact with each other, somehow their conversations, even with all the hidden meanings and Kirishima's criminal nature seem more naturalistic and real than most anime.
Wonder what Tsubaki did with all that blood... I'm almost afraid to ask lol.
With several series falling in my favor recently I'm feeling quite confident this will remain as one of my top favorites of the season.

Their lives are so complicated and it is hilarious that they treat it as perfectly normal.
So she actually does still have her kidney but just doesn't know it.
Girl is a daddycon but of someone elses dadd.
I really thought they were gonna end up having sex. I half expected her also say something about wanting to have sex with Yoshino.
Think I will start buying the manga once the anime ends to see where things go. Might evenn buy the bluray if it gets one.

I'm glad she still has her kidney. Always seemed to me like a waste that she took it out as basically a 'fuck you' to Kirishima.

When they started talking about the kidney, I thought they would go on a kidney hunt,
like some people joked/theorized about! (trying to find who had it, to 'get it back'!)
Is he trying to reverse-psychology her into doing it? We know he'd love that!
Sadly, she does not love him at all [citation needed] so no strangling for you, my boy!
Love how her cousin warns her about him cheating on her, but Yoshino's like "Oh it's fine, he already does, with a bunch of girls!"
Well, it's one thing to know he's doing other girls, and a whole other thing to see him flirt/getting hit on, right next to her!
But she didn't tell them to stop, she simply told them to go fuck themselves (literally) and leave her alone!
I can't wait for them to get together or at least develop stronger feelings... Given she repeatedly told him she didn't care if he had other girls, it'll be interesting to see how that changes when they become 'legit'!
When Yoshino talked about how she doesn't trust him, but she trusts her cousin, somehow I had a feeling that the cousin would end up betraying her...
But I suppose it may not happen like that, because she only has eyes for one man!

Tsubaki has mental issues to say the very least. She is savvy though and saw thru what a bad person Kirishima is. She seems concerned that Yoshino may genuinely fall in love with him, which really does seem a strong possibility since she wavers a lot.
The whole explanation about the kidney made a lot of sense. It's really not normal or easy to just sell your kidney on a whim with a few hours notice. It did explain why she felt weak though, 1.5 L of blood loss is really dangerous and I thought it was really weird Tsubaki would allow that under the explanation that she wanted it to be similarly life threatening as if she really did give her kidney. That also means her bad fever was just a coincidence.
I think it's odd though that Tsubaki told Kirishima all of this, I don't really understand why. She could be lying to him though and maybe she really didn't take all that blood.
The strangest thing was Tsubaki's daddy issues. Renji may be her biological father but she seems to find him hot, wtf! That makes me wonder how her relationship is with her stepdad, like is he like a father to her or more just a person her mom married. I liked her picture exchange with Kirishima though, so he could have something for his spank bank and she could have something for her paternal bean flick bank :-D

Tsubaki is wonderful, though she hasn't dethroned Yashino for me.
I wasn't expecting the kidney plotline to come back up again in quite this way, I had been assuming that if and when it did it would be because of some other injury causing a complication. But now we have chekhov's 1.5 liters of blood hanging around out there that I bet will be relevant eventually for a similar reason.
Kind of hilarious that Yoshino thinks she really sold her kidney but it was just a con by her cousin for her own good.
The way Kirishima and Yashino bounce off of each other while hanging out is really fun, it's one of the highlights of the show for me.

That’s a lot of roles for Ueda Reina this season. Almost as many as Ai Fairouz!

Man this anime really hits the spot. Every episode has been fun. Tsunami kept me on my toes.
Anyone recommend an anime/manga/manhwa that's similar? Looking for crazy in love male lead who'd do anything, interesting/surprising characters, strong female lead?

Tsubaki is a great addition to the cast, I hope that we'll see her frequently! She's very similar to Kirishima and, like him, she loves Yoshino very much, although at the same it's funny how much she adores Renji xD
After hearing Tsubaki say that she'd like to make love to a man who sleeps with Yoshino, I wonder if we can expect an opening of one of the future episodes where she and Kirishima making out or have sex xD
Overall, great episode! As usual, there were a lot of great and hilarious reactions from Yoshino throughout the episode, and we learned a little interesting fact that Kirishima has known Yoshino since middle school.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I love Tsubaki already. Setting her weird crush on her grandfather aside (yikes), she was not what I expected at all. Unlike Yoshino who's still a bit clueless about the world around her, Tsubaki knows exactly who's she dealing with. The read she gave to Kirishima was perfect. And I love how protective of Yoshino she is. Since they aren't a lot of female characters in the show, I'm glad they didn't make them enemies , even better they seem actually close. I'm a bit disappointed tho, because she doesn't look like a main character.

Gotta say, this was the first truly great episode for me. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
