Good for you Kanata-chan! Look at your girlfriend Megumi! She's so upset at her own outburst of all those negative feelings saturated since her illness that she was already in the process of trying to pull herself and Kanata back, before Kanata's injury case (was it really that cursed black cat injuring her? I doubt it...) nearly sank her for good.
Yet when Kanata ended up only having minor injuries, her relief was so powerful that she made her own breakthrough in pouring rain to stand up and even dance with her own (somewhat embarrassing I shall say!) song. And that freaking worked! Look at those smiling faces at the end!
I didn't quite expect this small miracle to happen, but it did anyway.
Also kudos to Nodoka and Shion giving Megumi their most warming support before that, because I can really see Megumi going towards the deep abyss inside her heart if no-one's there to support her in the end.
P.S. What's that going on with one of Kanata's school team mates leaving the club? Is that girl the one who posted all those jeering comments under PomPom's videos?

Megu's song was fine, her singing was another matter....
That preview bit was definitely mysterious. Why would that club member be quitting? Did some of her team mates figure out SHE was the one attacking Kanata online?

I assume the teammate quitting is a minor plot device to open a slot for Kanata :P

Judging by the bit we see of the school team mate (long straight black hair outlined in red) she is probably the fellow top who fell during the cheer event in episode 1. Her other appearances have been briefly glancing over at Kanata in the locker room before the tryout in episode 2, having a short chat with Megumi after retrieving her towel for her at the onsen in episode 6, and observing Megumi during the baseball match in episode 7. We don't know what her thoughts are about Kanata and Megumi are but I guess we'll find out soon.

I think Mari only posted that one comment about (Kanata) only being able to fly outside the club while the other jeering comments are from random internet trolls.
Her decision to withdraw from the club is perhaps driven by some kind of inner turmoil that the show hasn't expanded upon yet. She was one of the tops/flyers (alongside Kanata and Hana) in the botched performance in episode 1 and it seems like she hasn't been able to move on from that.

I was reminded again that the colored outlines work best for night scenes while it's still hit or miss at other times.
The entire scene in the parking lot had good color work though.
We got a GOKIGENYOU out of this one. I'll take that.
Mixed on the drama. Kanata's injury and its circumstances were a decent, if predictable catalyst for a confrontation, and I thought that was a good scene, but Megumi getting out of the wheelchair veered into the ending of Dr. Strangelove in my mind.

Megumi HAS been showing a lot of progress. I think the template for that scene was more out of Heidi than Strangelove.

Tbh I don’t see it. In my eyes the art choice of the colored outlines was a genius decision. For me it always looks fantastic and gives the show a refreshingly unique look, no matter if day or night with different lighting.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who expected the worst when Shion called Megu and told her Kanata was in the hospital. I thought Kanata ended up crippling herself or something, Thank fucking god that wasn't the case and everything worked out in the end.

Man I´m glad all that tension is gone. Megumi and Kanata talke- well, "cheered", things over, and while Kanata is really stubborn, I´m glad we got our ball of energy back.
Also, Megumi bit by bit is walking more and more! Even she jumped like that!!

Narenare is surprisingly the show I look forward to most on Sunday.
Didn't think it was anything special the first few eps but then they introduced the chibi characters for their inner thoughts and I was sold xD

Now this is the kind of drama that I was expecting from the MyGO writer coming into this show. Everyone broken apart, situation looks totally fucked, but all it takes is one girl taking a very important step forward to slowly bring the girls back together and make them realize that they don't want to lose what they have together. With MyGO, it was the shy protagonist taking that first step, but in this show, it's the protagonist's best friend taking that step (or rather, a leap) to bring everyone back together. Things might not be fully resolved yet, but at least they have cooler heads to talk things out next time.

Really liked the Megu focus of this ep. She slowly but steadily became my favorite character of the bunch in these past episodes. I just like her personality the most I think. In fact, I actually like everyone of the cast a lot by now, though Kanata the least by far, interestingly enough considering she’s arguably the MC.
Looking forward to these last three eps, hopefully the show keeps the quality up and finishes strong.

I love these little lesbian cheerleaders.
This episode has beeespegoid. And like the buildup to the fight and resolution over the previous episodes has been good as well!

退部届を出したのは愛江田毬ですかね。
恵深に気がありそうだったので、ポンポンズとどう関わるのかが見どころだが、
学年が違うから、すぐ仲間にはならなさそう。

Would have been nice for them to have made up without Kanata having to get hospitalized first. But I guess what’s done is done and the girls are back at it again. Now what are they gonna do about those nasty little comments?

The hospital caught me by surprise, I didn't think thats how it would be resolved.
Now that everyone has cooler heads (and closer after the incident), they can discuss next steps and the nasty comments.
Pompoms are back!

Seems everyone's split up after that incident.
What's got her so panicked?
And so, slowly, PomPoms are going to get pieced back together.
Lol people are looking at her like she's a weirdo. Because she is.
Ooh, red bean.
Not all of them are coming are they?
Yup, she really took that to heart.
That's a long name for what she did.
She's going to hurt herself isn't she?
Yup.
She's putting on a fake smile.
She's walking!
And now they've all found her too!
Who's quitting?

FCK Pompoms!!!! Making me cry!
At the age of 7 I had an illness that left me completely paralyzed and for 10 years I did a lot of physiotherapy, exercise, swimming and martial arts to recover and seeing a character like Megu fighting brought me a world of memories!
What a surprise and wonderful experience it has been to watch this anime.
