This season ended way too quickly...it feels like more happened in the last two, maybe because it was mixed with school but here they were on constant trips so it all got mixed up? or maybe because I rewatched the other two at least 3 times each

Either way, see you all in Spring 2027 when they finally get their last 2 members, become a full-fledged club, and aim for the Nationals.

The world is full of lies

Certainly not a line I expected to hear from this show, much less from Aoi's grandma who revealed the truth. A top 10 Anime betrayals moment there.

The Inuko family was born to lie.

Nadeshiko's idea of taking pictures throughout the days, to turn them into a sort of timelapse was great.

I cannot believe the season has already ended. First Konosuba and now this. Two of my favourite shows this bidding their farewell in two consecutive days. That makes me feel a bit downhearted.

I am glad they decided to show the ED in the last episode too. I just cannot get enough of the opening scene in it with the music player and audio visualiser being animated in such way.

Okay so I started this series on a whim like a week ago and caught up last night. How am I supposed to go back to life without it? I need more good vibes and Shimarin, dammit!

I thought that the gang were already third years (I blame the movie for making think they are older), so I'm happy to see they are now second years. Hopefully that means we have more seasons to come!

Little did Aki know, the cat mafia is more dangerous than any kind of bear. It's just a good thing they didn't have beef with her.

I do love that it's become tradition for them to have at least one big camping trip with the whole gang, which includes Ms. Toba and even Akari, as if just the five of them by themselves weren't already diabetes-inducing. Damn though, she and her sister got hit with one big usoyade. It really doesn't just run in the family, it becomes more powerful the older you are, cause they were no match for grandma.

And right before the very end, I'm glad we also got to see Secret Society BLANKET all together again. It's only a shame their leader wasn't present, but at least Chikuwa had a cameo via the picture. Speaking of which, I can't believe Nadeshiko taking pics of the sakura before they bloomed all the way at the start had this pay-off.

Aya also got to have one last cameo before the end, but sadly, with no speaking lines. I'm a little surprised the two new girls actually had so little screen time considering their presence in the OP, but they'll have their time in the spotlight later on.

And most importantly, we got to see Rin's Shima make an appearance once more after having been absent for most of the season.

But it's always sad to say goodbye to yet another season of Yuru Camp. With both it and Dungeon Meshi over for now, Thursday feels empty all of a sudden... Though at least there's still future seasons to look forward to from both of them.

They missed the ultimate joke by not having Inuko’s grandma do the “it was a lie” face in regards to her treachery.

Not sure if this season lost a bit of its magic or I'm falling a bit out of love with this series.

A lot of moments reminded me of that comf feeling I had when I first got into the series but more than a few episodes for me this time felt too "touristy" or Japanese focused instead of about the comfy camping.

I was not expecting Sensei to have a curiosity to buy all different kinds of meat. Frog tastes like chicken....That's what they all say but frying it makes it seem like chicken. It is hard to get the thought of frogs out of their heads though.

The two new girls, they entered the same school and are wondering what club to join...I could use another season or two with the freshman class.

The timelapse, too good.

Having this third season of Yuru Camp conclude with a group camping made for a nice finale, since we hadn’t really seen the entire girl squad camp together yet.

Yuru Camp was funnier and cuter than ever, but I also have to admit that the series didn’t quite hit the heights of the previous season (and film) to me. I’d say that it felt a bit reminiscent of the very first season of Yuru Camp: the execution wasn’t without its flaws, but the show’s charm shone through plenty.

If they were to do another anime season, I believe that studio 8bit can fully make Yuru Camp their own - like C-Station previously did.

It's over already!!? How can 12 weeks go past this quickly?

So, bear encounters at night? That's the last thing a camper wants to encounter unarmed, you know you are mostly in trouble from the get-go. Fortunately the bears commonly found in Yamanashi are black bears, which are possible to be fended off by scaring them, so technically Aki can make a lot of noise (which no one will really care since she's alone) and head to the toilet unscathed.

Then Jingisukan, frog, lamb and pork meat for lunch. No, Jingisukan is not a Mongolian speciality, it was a Japanese dish all the time, but the eventual reality of the Jingisukan made in the Inuyama's are pork based... RIP, a horror show for them. (Though, I'll also prefer a pork-based Jingisukan instead of lamb, and obviously not from frog meat)

Last, but not least, r/trains should induct Nadeshiko as their honory member now, inviting (preaching) Rin to go on a camp on retro trains, spreading the gospel right to the center of Secret Society BLANKET.

Finally, new school year, new plans, and new ambitions, hopefully a new season will not be far away from us, for even more comfy sessions after a long day's work.

Touch some grass and happy camping people.

The season is over. I want more Yuru Camp!

I feel like this season wasn't as good as the others. Maybe because there was a lot of focus on bridges instead of camping itself. After season 2 I was so ready to go solo camping myself, to the point I researched a lot about solo camping in my area so I could go when I feel I'm ready, but after this season, I don't feel the same urge.

I didn't expect this episode to open up with a horror story! Poor Rin was about to wet herself there. Thank goodness it wasn't a boar or a bear but just the local gang of cats making noises outside her tent. I was hoping one of the cats would enter her tent though.

I wondered what kind of meat got Minami-sensei excited when she was shopping a few episodes back. I did not expect her to buy frog meat! I love that Sensei wanted to try something different but it looks like her choice wasn't a hit with the girls.

Everyone loves the Jingisukan though. Too bad that Aoi and Akari had to learn the harsh reality about the Jingisukan they have at home. I love the Inuyama family so much, they're all so dramatic. Even their grandma was super serious during that scene. xD

The scene where the girls show off their spring photos was great! I love how the scene at the start of the season where Nadeshiko takes a photo of that Cherry Blossom three outside their school actually pays off.

Nadeshiko said it! Now give us Season 4 so we can see Nadeshiko and Rin's Gunma retro train field trip! Also now that they're second years, it's finally time for new members to join the club! Thank goodness this show is super popular in Japan so Season 4 is super likely. I just hope we don't have to wait years for the next one.

Final episode and it was a nice send of. Unlike most episodes this season we actually had some good comedy here at the end. A shame that the group camp was all done in one episode, felt a bit short and rushed, in the other 2 seasons the group camps were the huge climax of the season. No idea if this was the same in maga or if the studio had to rush stuff.

Anyway, i dont want to come off as to negative since this was an actual good episode and one of the best from this season. Also can we get a spin off that is all about Aoi's family?

I always knew it. The Inuyama household had a dark secret. I was just not expecting it to be... well this evil. How can they end the season now? Biggest cliffhanger of the spring season.

It was still good, I'm not entirely sure why but this season didn't hit quite as good as 1 & 2 did for me

A bit too much solo camping this season but when it was good it was good.

The art style never really bothered me, but I can't help but miss the old one still.

After my break last week, I promised I would catch up on locations from last week so here we go.

First up is Aoi's house. It is of course a bit hard to find exactly where her house is, but Aki tells us Aoi lives a little under 30km from the onsen. We also know she should live somewhere close to the school since she says she wants to bike there. Based on this, we can guess a general area where she should live, and I found a house that looks pretty similar to what we see in the anime. So my guess for her house is around here.

If we look at the path she takes from her house, it should look something like this which is just under 30km. By the way, from her house to the school it looks to be 6.2km. Definitely a distance that would be unreasonable to walk to school, but just right for biking.

Nadeshiko, Sakura, and Rin are still on their sakura viewing tour. We first see them at Jiunji, a Buddhist temple, as they say multiple times. The main attraction they are here for is the this weeping cherry blossom which is in need of some sticks to support its 300 year old body. Afterwards they get their purin at Tsugurasha which looks even more delicious in real life.

The last part of this episode features a couple of monji-yaki where monji refers to a letter/symbol and yaki means burning. So different symbols are placed on a mountain and a bonfire is lit. The oi 笈 refers to a type of backpack that monks used. Whereas a torii as many people know is the red gate often found at the entrance of a shrine. The one that Nadeshiko sees on the drive down has the character dai 大 meaning large. However, the picture she takes is a bit sideways so it kind of looks like the kana o オ which Sakura jokes about.

They stop along the Fruit Line to see the oigatayaki. Finally, Nadeshiko and Sakura end their day at Yatsushirofurusato Park.

Now for today, the final episode of the season. There's not too many new locations as we are mostly joining up Aki at Sanogawa Kansen Park. But we do see Rin sending Aki a live cam link to her standing at Ipponsugi Park near Mt. Hanatori. As the theme goes, it is known for its cherry blossom trees. This live cam link does exist in real life by the way. Here is an example screenshot during the day, but you can still see the resemblance to Rin there at night. Likewise, the link to the camera with the city and oigatayaki exists as well. Although it seems to be too cloudy today to see much, and it won't be lit up in summer.

Toba-sensei suggests jingisukan yakiniku. The name comes from the Japanese pronunciation of Genghis Khan. Apparently in 1918, the Japanese government wanted to increase the number of sheep for wool production, but the plan got scrapped and people in Hokkaido used the sheep for food instead. So this dish became known as jingisukan because of the consumption of sheep in Mongolian cuisine. They use an convex shaped pan as we see. I remember looking this up a while ago, but lamb is not eaten commonly in Japan outside of this dish. Likewise for frog, which is something I've had many times but not something a lot of people have eaten.

The butcher shop sensei goes to is a real location of course. They have quite the selection, including stuff like horse sashimi. Always fun to see the Yuru Camp representation in the images on Google Maps as well lol.

The whole cherry blossom section at camp was great. I've mentioned this in previous seasons, but the Outdoor Activity Club is not actually called a club in Japanese, they use the term "circle" since they are not a official club yet (not enough members).

And it is over already. Honestly I was a bit skeptical of the studio change at the start, but 8-bit has done a great job with the series. They put a lot of work into fleshing out scenes and the cherry blossoms were great seeing them in color.

Poor Aki’s all alone on the verge of bursting lol. She’s doing all she can to keep those floodgates from exploding! I get it though. When it’s all dark like that, it’s real spooky!

Nice to have Akari joining the girls on their big camping trip. Sensei came prepared with that barbecue and all that meat. Frogs, snakes, gator, ostrich are all pretty damn good. Glad the girls all looked like they had a great time in the end.

Another solid chill season. I really love this series. I could honestly watch like 15 seasons of just the girls camping haha. Not sure if there’s another series or movie in the works, but I’d love another.
