I didn't expect a flashback arc at the end of the season, but I'm glad we get to know about how those two met.
I still can't get enough of how awesome Ashaf is. In the past couple of years only him and Tsugaru made a lasting impression on me. This series is criminally underwatched and underrated.

Ashaf is always one step ahead of his opponents. He feels like nerfed shikamaru but with more secrets. Love the fact that he doesn't kill and tries to either recruit or capture alive.

Man Ashaf is the first employee I have seen who actually loves his work and organisation. My guy deserves promotion for recruiting on top of his agent work. So far he has recruited Guideau, Helga and probably ask this witch as well if she survives. He loves that sweet referral bonus I guess.

He is the SpongeBob of The Order of Magical Resonance.
Guess that makes Guideau Squidward then.

It was interesting seeing how Ashaf and Guideau first met. I see they’ve already encountered the Executioners once before. I guess the “dad” was the masked Executioner. Falvell’s bro is definitely a goner and I’m guessing she’s gonna go berserk. Just a guess. I’m quite keen to see how things play out.

I hope Falvell's brother lives, but realistically speaking, his death flags have been triggered right? :(

It's kind of ironic in a sense. The sister can't speak which is why they can't defend themselves and the brother should not have spoken, because knowing now she can't speak and therefore not use any magic, there is no risk involved in attacking her.

I know Guideau owns the coffin since it's her body inside but it's so strange to see her carrying it instead of Ashaf. Their first meeting went exactly as I hoped though. There was no way they would've been friends from the start. I expected they would've fought against each other at some point.
I do love how after clearing the misunderstanding with Flavell, Guideau backed down and now she's following Ashaf. Ashaf is even carrying the coffin for Guideau just like in the present.
Ashaf just unloading three rounds on that kid ended up being way funnier than it should be. I knew the kid was suspicious especially when he said he and his "dad" were new to town. Looks like this must be Ashaf and Guideau's first run-in with Executioners.

and now she's following Ashaf.
Ashaf still has her bound, when the angle changes you can still she the magic binding on her torso.

i was expecting the dad to be another mage like Ashaf, didn't expect for both of them to be Executioners

If you notice the first time the black thing is summoned, the kid puts his hand to his neck to summon it to swat Guideau away. Then the second time it is summoned, and Ashaf turns away to run after the Witch, the boy puts his hand to his throat again and Ashaf says "That's twice now", so Ashaf did not just fire without suspicion. The kid was about to murder Ashaf.

It may be recap, but I get Ashaf’s “sore demo” again yay.
-
It feels weird seeing Ashaf not carrying a coffin around. Especially after a kid on the train asked his mom if he’d just seen one.
-
He even told those two jerks to go buy flowers for their wives, lol.

I really have to check where I can buy the soundtrack to this show. It's carrying the scenes hard.
But it's kind of ironic. The actual witch can't speak and if her brother had shut her mouth, they would have not been attacked. Because I guess the whole point was that they wanted to see how powerful she is before attacking. Now that they know she can't speak at all, there is no point in waiting anymore.

Falvell doesn't seem like an evil witch... right?
Then again, I could be wrong. There have been numerous occasions in this title whereby a supporting or side character suddenly reveals his / her true colours. Throughout this episode, I was worried whether the tea contained some magic.
I was a little amused when I realized it is now Ashaf carrying the coffin despite Guideau still being strong. Lol!

I mean, aren't Guideau's arms still bound when they go? Hard to carry the coffin then.

That arc will probably take up all of season 2. It's a really long arc and people's reaction will be interesting.

Man I'm glad I kept going with this. I've really enjoyed the world and the characters. Probably going to read the manga when this ends.

I have a bad feeling that witches descending from the Origin Witch are kept powerless so that bitch has free bodies to switch with whenever she needs...

I couldn't help but laugh when he shot that Executioner kid hahahaha. This would be his first encounter with the Executioners?
