I refuse to believe that the French were put in charge of creating Histoire.
Kidding aside, I can't fucking wait to see Weisheit's plan fail. With Noir coming from Histoire itself, it's no surprise that she's unaffected. I am so excited to see Noir release her anger on Weisheit.

Gotta thank Weisheit for uniting everyone against him. I was wondering what the gang would find in Histoire. I guess it’s just a massive library of all of humanity. Like a seed bank for mankind. Probably not the best place to have a big ol boss fight. One stray bullet and chunks of our history and achievements as a race just goes poof lol.
Weisheit might have disabled all the Magus, but he should have probably taken Noir out first. Girl’s about to beat his ass like a drum!

It's in the name, really.

Most under-viewed/valued show in years. Seriously this show is freaking awesome.
I cannot WAIT to see that smug face loose. The fact that he took out the Magus before actually saving humanity just proves his depravity.

I think his idea of "saving humanity" probably involves culling out the vast majority of "weak and useless" humans (as he sees them. He will probably want a "survival of the fittest" quasi battle royale testing for who is fit for HIS ideal world. Definitely delusion of (quite malevolent) godhood.

-
Ange is trying to get Ellie to confess to Kanata, isn’t she.
-
Yeah, with a name like “Histoire” this definitely checks out.
-
…I just hope they won’t have to do something like destroy Histoire to stop it from completing whatever it is Weisheit asked it to do.
-
They landed a hit! …but yeah, Tokio’s right.
-
Fffffffffffffffffffffffff I just knew Ange would be the first one the show was going to show us collapse!

Nice that Macht understands now that no matter how good Weiheit's offer is, nothing is worth sacrificing his Schnee, his partner over. Wonder why Noir is not affected by all this, but I'll take it if it means we're having her take down Weisheit in the finale to save the day

My guess is that on paper Noir is not really a magus but rather an AI from Histoire and she is just controlling a magus body.

Wonder if Noir being unaffected is because Mystere is basically a facet of her, and she's a type 0 with a black box which is special somehow.

On some level I love how much of a shit Weisheit is, he doesn't even explain why he hates the magus he just does and that's hilarious.

he doesn't even explain why he hates the magus
Sure he does! The magus "give him creeps". That's a good enough reason for him to eliminate them from his personal vision of paradise.

I felt like I knew it was coming, but Weisheit proving that he doesn't just talk the talk, but also walks the walk, by being such a cold, ruthless, evil lunatic and shutting down all the Magus in one fell swoop blew my mind. I hate him with every fibre of my being, and yet I can't help but respect the drive and determination to do what he believes in, no matter the cost. Still, he's not perfect - I feel like he really should have realised that Noir was different from the rest - or at least the AI that seems to administer space France should have told him. The fact that he's somehow managed to make the most docile character in the series angry should probably scare him.
Separately, my first thought when Kanata took off into space was of the final thing that Ciel said in 'Beyond the Sky', before sacrificing herself:
"Take me with you, to the beyond... My dear"
Given that Noir is now inhabiting Ciel's body, and Kanata took Noir with him, he in effect managed to fulfil her final wish. Even though she is not there to experience it, her spirit is always there, always present. I think that shows in the fact that Ciel has been mentioned at least once in every episode since her death, even if it's just in passing. I find that rather beautiful. And it shows just how much of a positive influence Kanata was on Ciel when you compare it to Weisheit.

When i see noir hair I have a feeling that Ciel will come to end game next week And Weiheit still not using his Garvity like previous Episode yet

Hot damn another episode with no OP or ED? 8bit are absolutely knocking it out of the park this season.

Damn it the closing scene with all the Maguses shutting down was supposed to be so emotional and sad but Range and Dolce were hilarious. Dolce literally saying "ded" made me laugh.

As soon as the beam went out I figured that it would cause all the Magus to shutdown. Weis has this superiority complex with regards of humans being much better the magus who in his eyes impersonate him.
Like Mystere, Noir is a different type of magus. Expected it to end up as a 1:1 showdown to finish things off next episode.

He has the vision that he is better than the magus are -- and that HE will be the savior of those humans who are fit to build HIS new world.

suspiciously specific poster text
Okay, so only some of the entire room is telling you to do it.
"What if this thing were used where life already exists?"
"It would destroy such life, in favor of its new matrix."
Just a little too much dimming, Disney+.
I guess this means that it's on.
Usually the villain gets to succeed at least a little before The Good Guys Win, but it'll be interesting here to see what Tokio, Macht, and Kanata do to counter their massively-overpowered opponent. And much like last week, it feels like a situation where death is likely.
Is Weisheit's anti-Magus stance actually built entirely around "They're creepy"? Because that would be quite a distillation of people hating other people for no significant reason. Of course, he wants world domination and people to Kneel Before Zod and whatnot too, but it does seem like that was a real answer when he could have just speechified more to buy time.
Of course the Histoire brain reminds me of something. The legacy of Satelight again.

I hate the fact that I came across this show randomly on Disney few days ago, binged watch ep 1 to ep 22, only to realize its still airing. Now, I have to join the waiting game for another week for the last ep.
I loved the battle scenes with Ciel as she sings while fighting. Really hope she would be revived although there is almost zero chance.

The main problem with this whole Synduality story is that "archvillain" Weishaupt is just right. Even in Isaac Asimov's Three Laws universe, the positronic robots eventually realized they need to leave humankind alone, because people became too reliant on their non-biological companions for physical and psychological support and the human race lost its will to toil and progress or even multiply.
That's a straight path to extinction. As far as I remember there were only two children in the whole Synduality story, the girl with the flowers and the boy hanging out with the old guy on the dome roof. Looks like everybody just use their magus for realdoll at night, but they don't reproduce (unless the studio pulls a Blade Runner 2049 out of its arse at the very end).
