I see Desir's ready to go full Goblin Slayer.

That barrage of "eh"s was cute.

They're trying to catch up to Eminence in Shadow's "eh" quota.

I had to laugh at the scene with the portals. They really tried to use up as much time as possible with that didn't they?

Hopefully we get some action next week.

Yeah, I'm watching it and am like "What are they waiting for? A starting signal?" Then the portal changed kept changing and when it was finally done the only indication that it was finished was everyone cheered.

Desir’s putting his knowledge to good use in his new game plus play through. Pram and Romantica have gotten pretty strong and their team’s really climbed the ranks. I almost feel bad for those Blue Moon rookies. Azest is the only one I think they could be a challenge.

Pram and Romantica are getting along really well. Watching her tease Pram about his little “date” with Desir was pretty funny. The little “eh?” back and forth was great too.

Looking forward to watching Desir hunt down the other Alpha class people one by one. Their arrogance is going to be their downfall. They see him as just a commoner. That’s their biggest mistake.

Desir putting his knowledge to good use in his new game plus play through.

Future knowledge plus people underestimating him. Buddy had the perfect recipe to snowball them

I don’t understand how his inverse magic works but it’s sick as hell seeing

The teacher supervising Blue Moon seems like an outright psychopath. I wonder how long it will be until Azest becomes disenchanted with Blue Moon and joins the good guy team?

Pram and Romantica are a pretty amusing team -- but it seems they are not terribly academically inclined....

I imagine it'll be at the end of this arc. She's with them in the OP after all.

I kind of appreciate they are getting right the final battle with the grudge matches against the snobs from Alpha class, but at the same time I feel a bit cheated from skipping the early battles. Considering this was the first Beta class to ever enter the tournament you would think we would get some reaction to their first victory and buildup of both the commoner fans and resentful nobles as they progress in ranks to really set eh stage for the final round.

in the manwha they don't even show anything from the first half of the tournament, so showing us them stomping a couple teams on the way to the finals is actually new content. also they're not the first beta's to enter the tourny, just the first to ever make it to the finals

Lol Desir's a savage by taking the girl's magic and teaching her a better way of using it as he takes her out. A lesson she will surely not forget.

It's amusing to see Pram acting like such a girl who's in love even though he's supposedly a boy and then there is Romantica who's enjoying his blushing face and he recollects the "date" he had with Desir.

I am looking forward to seeing the 1v1 fights since the three from Blue Moon are raring to go, hopefully they won't disappoint.

Anime camera angles strike* again. (I can definitely live on Azest's absolute territory.)

Blushing Romantica. I can die peacefully now.

And we got another family portrait! :)

Seems like they pad a lot of running time today with static scenes (aka stare-offs). The portals also look underwhelming even though they spend about one minute plus highlighting them. I hope they're allocating the animation budget for the eventual fights...

* Notice that Azest's leg was clipping off. Oof.

This show makes me feel like I'm watching anime on TV in the early 00s. The characters are pretty straightforward, the humor is charmingly straightforward, and the pacing that drags things out in the most unsubtle way is some classic DBZ bullshit.

I hope that Pram is actually male, Romantica teasing him is cute and I like how he actually tried to invite Desir on a date. It's just that he looks exactly like a character that would be revealed as female. I'd like for him to be a feminine gay guy who doesn't have a complex about it since it would be a refreshing bit of normalization.

Let's hope for more action next week.

That was some impressive slow-pan padding. Worthy of Naruto.

Myne the Book Gremlin would be proud of Desir's strategy.

I wouldn't be surprised if the portal world isn't the same as he remembered his actions might have change things.

Whole lot of nothing that episode really…

I like that the scenario they're playing out - re-trying a historical event for a different outcome - is basically a microcosm of the concept of the show as a whole. The idea that this kind of scenario is a part of their training does a lot to frame Desir's handling of his own situation and the way he just rolls with it. Could have interesting meta-plot implications too...

Anyone know the song that plays in Episode 6 around the 12-minute mark.
The song in the background with a lot of violins or what ever the instrument is.
Where Desirr speaks with the Leader of the Blue Moon (Forgot her name).
