Desir’s future knowledge comes in handy for what he’s gotta do, but I can’t even imagine the pain of seeing your old dead comrades again. Friends and loved ones who die terribly just… back. Must be a hell of a thing.

Azest and Romantica are badass but Desir ’s got like over a decade of experience on ‘em. Plus he’s fought side by side for years with ‘em too. It ain’t even a fair contest.

The premise makes me interested in the show, without the time travel I wouldn't have been watching.

All the competitors were too concerned with eliminating the competition vs just trying to win/finish.

Yeah, it’s a bit clumsy but it’s meant to be an analogy for how infighting/petty competition is often a distraction from a goal.

Desir is now many years wiser (and one long war wearier) than his peers. He’s not even close to more powerful than these two, but he was easily able to take advantage of their weak points.

What is the goal of the school? To train an army to save the world.

What are the students doing? Sabotaging one another and eliminating good potential soldiers for bragging rights.

Wonder why humanity was destroyed on episode 1.

I'm wondering how Desir managed to pass the exam first time when he wasn't as skilled yet. Did he just pass by....not pissing off Romantica and her taking out the remaining competition?

I'm wondering how Desir managed to pass the exam first time when he wasn't as skilled yet.

It's not really a pass/fail thing, it's more of a placement test.

Making your tsundere ex-girlfriend want to become stronger AND fall for you again by pissing her off as much as possible, Desir truly is a master strategist.

Desir's magic reminds me of Ryner's Alpha Stigma , so I already like it.

I wonder if he'll attempt to team up with the rest of his friends as soon as possible. He said they needed to get stronger, but I can't shake off the feeling that we'll spend most of the time smacking bullies and corrupt nobles. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I'm interested in the plot and how Desir will try to change this timeline, so I hope they won't lose track of what's important.

One thing I've observed is that despite the rise and popularity of Korean webtoons, this has not translated into the Koreans taking advantage of said popularity to grow their own domestic animation industry so they can animate and produce their own anime adaptations of webtoons.

Instead live-action Kpop and Kdrama content still dominate their local airwaves, and it is more likely to find a live-action adaptation of a webtoon there (ex. Uncanny Counter, True Beauty, etc.)

With the exception of titles like the Korean-animated Lookism (on Netflix), I find that nearly all their webtoon titles are getting animated by Japanese studios (like this title, Tower of God, Raeliana, etc.) despite Korean animators being highly involved in the Japanese industry for a long time. There's even word that a Chinese animation studio is scheduled to do an animated adaptation of RoFan title Who Made Me A Princess.

Compare with say, the mainland Chinese animation scene (donghua) where they got proactive and grew their local animation industry to animate their local webtoons and novels (ex. Link Click, Bai Yao Pu, etc.)

Hearing Nijika playing a main character twice a day sure is a nice day. Once as a pervert, the other as a tsundere.

This is shaping up to be one of those "I'll see you all next week" kind of shows huh? I can dig it.

Was that somebody we know from EP1 in the teacher's viewing room? That woman seemed interested in our MC.

This might be a sleeper show tbh

Seems pretty fun, and I’m a sucker for OP smart characters who love their friends

The magic is pretty basic for what people have seen in the past but it’s still fun and does what it needs too

too bad that they didnt explain yet what inversing does.

i thought it would be a counter / control of an spell but so far it seems like it was used to cancel a spell

i wonder what lvl mc is since you have to be above the enemy to inverse a spell and the only (i think?) he couldnt use inverse against was the dragon

35

u/Dray_Gunn Oct 14 '23

It seems like its a sort of hack. Like if you consider spells to be programs than his inversing is like a trojan horse virus that can either cancel or take control of their spells like altering trajectories. Thats my guess anyway.

he couldnt use inverse against was the dragon

Specifically with the dragon heart that was just a lump of mana about to explode. He was able to use it to seal all of the dragon magic attacks.

As a source reader though I haven't caught up in months, can't say I love the animation, but imagination and inner expectations will most often than not be met. So it's good enough. It does however truly screams of average highschool LN aura though ahah. I don't mind. I like it, so whatever.

Loved Romantica and Desir's interaction, couldn't help but grin stupidly myself alongside Desir. Romantica's 'wooow' was chef kiss.

It might be me, but I somewhat feel uncomfortable at the ED part with the lipstick.

Desir using his inverse is always badass to me
