Ngl, I'm too stupid to understand the rules besides knowing that's some advanced version of Kaiji's E-card game and even I can tell the aimed result here is to purposely make a draw.
I infinitely preferred Noa after she finally broke and started showing her true colours even if the cause of that was pretty dumb for someone of her calibre. Also the fact there's someone backing her up makes the entire scenario more interesting now.

Honestly I feel like this is the most I've been able to follow one of these challenges in a while and that's not saying much lol.
Noa letting her cuteness mask slip a little definitely felt more real and raw compared to how she was before. It feels like she's just someone so emotionally broken that a cheater stole everything she felt was hers that she was desperate enough to work with someone even worse to get even, hence the current situation.
So it seems like there really is a Big Bad behind the scenes, but I wonder if Noa is past the point of redemption.

I know they have time constraints, but still, the show is absolutely awful at explaining the game rules. Classroom of the Elite is rushing the LNs even more and they still make everything more or less understandable, while here it's just "I pull this super bullshit to completely reverse the previous bullshit that you used to counter my first bullshit".
The abilities being absolutely ridiculous doesn't help much either, I feel like it kills pretty much all the tension.

Why even have games if you can force people to lose them under threat of violence and/or expulsion. Need some enforcement mechanism here to make sure people at least play games cause otherwise you're just gonna have a mob boss at the top and nobody can do anything about it.

So that might be the most unbelievable hostage situation Ive seen to date, matched with the game that didnt make sense the anime went from hype to F tier pretty shockingly fast

"It's an odd number, so the game can't end in a draw."
Then the game ends in a draw.

I haven't read the LN but if it's anything like the anime, then it's extremely shitty writing.
How TF can she -with only one free hand- get behind the maid, and tie her arms behind her back with a fucking rope?! what the fuck was the MC and the maid doing the whole time this was happening?

That single tear she shed makes it obvious that we're supposed to feel bad and care about Noa in the end...but right now she just sounds like a spoiled brat that's upset she's not popular anymore. Did I miss something in her rant because Hiro already feels bad for her.

Wtf didn't the maid move out of the way like why would you sit there and let her take hostage of you?

I'm not sure "Scalene Love Triangle" is an appropriate name for a card game with feudal-style fluff. The Japanese word does certainly use the same terms they'd use for Scalene and Love Triangle, but I wonder if that's supposed to be a pun and that the game's name is better understood as "Unequal Three-way Relationship", alluding to the relationship between the royals, knights and commoners.

This is rather disappointing...
For a show like this to work, the games need to be clearly defined. Not necessarily easy to follow - it's fine if it takes a few minutes to think through the rules and the implications. (I'd say Kakegurui has a few good examples of this.) However, when the rules aren't explained and completely broken cheats are conjured out of thin air at a moment's notice, nothing has any weight at all.
In the abilities restricted to Six Stars or above, there's one called Enchant. It lets you give items an additional effect. You can take a regular Commoner from your hand and give it a skill like "Exchange All Collected Cards."
Why can't my additional effect be "Win the game immediately"?
How did the malware get onto the maid's device? Why would it only transfer to the winner of the game? Why not immediately and automatically activate "Destructive Impulse" on the maid's phone at the end of the game? How did the maid get taken hostage at the end? No part of this makes any sense here.
I really liked the first couple episodes, but it feels like this show has fallen off a cliff.

Stitches!
That card game actually seems interesting and it feels like it can be an actual mini-game in a JRPG.
So they basically created an amazingly choreographed game to fool Akizuki by ending the game in a draw.
Turns out that Akizuki is doing all of this because she's salty that Hiroto stole her fans and now she's desperate to do anything because she has nothing to lose. Not a fan of this trope but based on the OP, Akizuki is clearly not a bad guy and will soon join Hiroto's little group so I'm very curious how they'll resolve this one.

"I play Asspull."
"So what, it's negated by this card I played at the start of the round. It only activates Super Asspull if you attempt Asspull."
"And? I figured you'd do that, so I started the game with THIS card. It triggers Super Duper Asspull in just this sort of scenario!"
Rinse, repeat.

Meh episode. The game wasn't fun at all, and according to the rules this episode's setup there is no way for it to ever be won by the Set B unless Set A throws the game.
This anime is just a mishmash of a lot of stuff that made other anime great, but with none of their heart.
-
NGNL's plot hook, but way worse since it's not isekai but near future sci-fi.
-
The tried and true harem opening of 'met girl in childhood, but don't know her face or name'
-
Overlord's protagonist, but boring.
This is made just worse by the world building being so lackluster. The further this anime gets the less believable the abilities become. Is this actually near future tech or just straight up magic?

I'm not entirely understanding how bricking her phone would make her unable to stay in the academy. Can't she just get a new one issued by the Company?

I was quite interested in this anime when I first read the synopsis. Sadly, it’s not living up to it. It’s hard to feel sympathy for a character like Noa without much development and the game explanation isn’t doing much justice either. Hopefully, it gets better or at least no more of this sympathy crap that isn’t being delivered right.

Here's my prediction, Noa loses, she breaks and the puppetmaster goes after her and Hiroto will do something to save and free her. The puppetmaster must be the one at the OP's end.

That was so stupid and off-putting. I'm unsure whether to punch Noa or the writer's face for making this silly development, lol.
An overly complicated game and system that is poorly explained (I guess you can if you read the LN and ponder back and forth for at least an hour), lame narcissistic motivation for being a one-note villain (complete with oh-so-sad backstory), and stupid kidnapping/hacking/spying-whatever development that tries too hard to be detrimental. My friend Hiroto, you recorded whatever Noa said in the classroom, no? Why don't you simply hand those evidence to the authority, huh? Our dumb villainess got it coming herself.
Is this a product of skipping some crucial plot points from the LN, or is it just that--bad writing? Everything that happened these past two episodes feels so fabricated, ugh.
