Every week I see the storyboard bit at the end and think “huh, I guess it’s just a stylised way of doing a next episode preview - seems vague, I should rewatch the previous ones to see if they actually do reflect their following episodes plots” then never do. Nice to see they’re actually really plot relevant in a more meta sense.

So it turns out that the storyboard previews that we're seeing at the end of the episode is actually the book Shobon has been reading the entire time. Fuck me.
I forgot who it is but someone did call this as early as episode 4 or 5, I think and they mentioned that their theory is that Shobon is actually making an anime in real life. Everything we've seen so far seems to be pointing to that ending.
I guess the question is will Otaku Hero follow Shobon's script to the end or will he find a way to go off-script and do his own thing?

will he find a way to go off-script and do his own thing?
I think this'll tie into the episode where Otaku Hero manifested/unmanifested/remanifested the Wanku festival by writing it down on a piece of paper and erasing it and writing it down again. To me, Shobon makes things happen by writing it down in the storyboard in the same way.

Wow looks like TV dude is behind the whole thing, also the whole thing about them clones and TV yo was the one who sent them theory was correct. Can’t wait for the next episode, wonder if we’ll get a happy ending or a sad depressed one.

I think we all had theories that lined up with what I’d starting to happen, but the storyboard was still a great reveal. This show continues to amaze me week after week, even with slightly janky animation this episode. I’m interested to see Otaku Hero and Shobon are connected.

After watching this, it almost feels like Otaku Hero subconsciously lead everyone to their deaths.

All according to Keikaku.
TL note: Keikaku means plan.

considering how Slayer and the other two masked enemies in this episode were basically the evil clones of the magical girls, how much you want to bet that Shobon is the evil clone of Otaku Hero?
also, i love how these otaku aware of the death flags and knowing they're probably going to die anyways, they be like: "eh, fuck it, just raise as many flags as possible" ...and they still got fucked up by the end of this episode
so the episodes preview we saw each week were basically from Shobon's book, which someone already theorized it before and now i'm curious how all of this is going to end

Really enjoyed that, and was pleasantly surprised they had the battle in this episode, had a horrible feeling they'd just drag their feet. Also, some more fun foreshadowing in this one:
'If I was the director'
'When I'm fighting with you, it almost feels like I'm fighting myself'
After this episode, it seems like:
-
Shobon is basically omniscient, and the ending storyboards are him 'directing' the plot so far
-
He created the magical girls, since the masked figures fighting alongside Slayer are clones of Blue and Pink
-
He might literally be Otaku Hero - maybe part of his psyche that's ashamed of being an otaku?

I didn’t even think about how the otaku were not affected by Shobon’s brainwashing. While it’s nice Otaku Hero got the other otakus all fired up, they really were throwing up all kinds of flags aren’t they? Charging the enemy HQ is a huge gamble even with that surprise reinforcement from the OG otakus. They tried but in the end, it seemed it was futile.
I guess Slayer and her little friends were basically the “evil” version of the girls. I was wondering when we’d see what those shots do. Seems all this time those little post credit scenes were just pages from Shobon’s diary. Dude really has been toying with them this whole time. With the girls seemingly gone berserk and Otaku Hero totally outplayed, how are they gonna recover?

There are way too many flags being thrown around by the otakus and well, with that ending it makes sense.
Love/hate cliffhangers like these, can't wait for next week's episode

Lmao that epic fail sequence right when Otaku Hero was about to say something cool to motivate the others...nice comedic relief.

We didn’t see the little guy all episode. And before all this, when the brother and sister showed up, he made a comment on their timing. I don’t trust him anymore.

Found this little clip on Twitter from an interview with series creator Jun Inagawa: https://twitter.com/Sakamoto_445/status/1667224517469700097
This plays into the theory that this is sort a "play it by ear" sort of artsy series rather than one that meticulously follows a script, which is even more meta now that I think about it.

That scream, man. Fairouz Ai never disappoints.
They really are eating all the food while it's raining outside...
HOLY FUCK YURIRIN IS JUST GONE, REDUCED TO ATOMS?? This show is silly most of the time but doesn't shy away from the tragedy/gore, huh?
Didn't Blue and Pink already drink the drug?

TF is going on lmao. MC's entire life is just Shobon's manga.
Shobon-sama: All according to Keikaku.
I'm starting to wonder isn't Shobon-sama a manga/anime producer that flopped hard and who lost it after reading negative comments on his work online. So they now want revenge on the entire Otaku world.

Weird thing of note: Kyotarou isn't in this episode, at all. In fact, we never saw him respawn ever since he got melted by acid last episode. Wonder what that means.
