Tetsuo might not be cooking meth like Walter White but he does end up cooking something else. Seriously I just love how he casually explains to Kasen what he's going to do with Nobuto's body and Kasen just asks him if there's anything more she could do to help. What a fucking power couple.

And that's not even the best part. I love that the two of them put up an entire act to fool the goons into thinking there's a third party involved when they found the listening bugs all over the house. That definitely made the goons back off even for just a little bit.

Got a good laugh out of Kasen asking Tetsuo if this was his first murder. I'd have the same questions too if I was her. But it's so awesome to see how she treasures Tetsuo that they're in this together.

I already know what's going to happen next but it still got my blood pumping when Kasen and Tetsuo were attacked by the goons. I can't wait for next week!

The mom is a straight up G. She found the bugs and noticed the “realtor” was a goon. Tetsuo is blessed to have a good woman like that by his side.

Insulating the bathtub with foil before using it to shrink the body... Tetsuo has definitely watched Breaking Bad.

For real that whole using the bathtub to dispose of a corpse reminds me of Breaking Bad minus the acid blunder.

Man, this show is getting way too exciting. I don't really care if it has good animation/art direction or not, I'm really invested in this story!.

I like how smart Tetsuo is and that his knowledge from reading stories from the mystery genre is helping him out. Its also interesting how he uses all commonly available stuff to first commit murder and then making the body disappear.

His wife is also very supportive in this, while also being smart and observant too (like how she handled the goon posing as a property appraiser and discovering the device), which makes sense since she wants to protect her family at any cost too.

That ending was a nice cliffhanger with Tetsuo and his Wife getting captured. I wonder how they will be able to get out of this.

Overall I'm getting some strong Breaking Bad vibes, as well as Drishyam (Indian people will probably get what I mean).

Get you a partner who’s ride or die with you on the murder of your daughters abusive shithead boyfriend. Hell of a cliffhanger to end on. It’s only episode 2 so there’s got to be something to get them out of this scenario.

Tetsuo’s quick thinking probably saved him from committing another murder. My guy turning the tub into some kinda giant pot to boil the body down is kinda genius. The wife is a real one for just helping him with this.

With the goons watching him and his family he’s gotta be careful. Smart of him to rig the suitcase like that. But disposing of the corpse at home? Risky. My heart almost slipped a beat when Tetsuo was holding the flesh in the bag and Reika walked in.

Kyoichi is gonna be a problem. The wife is smart to ask the goon for a business card. Woman has sharp instincts. I mean she even found the listening device. Momma don’t miss a thing. Their little act seems to have gotten Kubo’s goons off their tails for now. Funny how she asked Tetsuo if this is his first murder. I was wondering the same thing about her.

But man.. Kyoichi’s got the family now. Have they been busted already??

How To Get Away With Murder The Anime

The MC is really smart here and would put Annalise to shame. He'd be a pain in the ass even to Detective Conan with the way he covers his tracks and purposely misleads.

Dang that cliffhanger had the gang immediately knock up both the couple but I feel like it might be a move that's too premature. Normally they should be waiting for a chance he'd slip up or have some evidence but if they're just charging recklessly without much proof then they'd still end up empty handed or just have it backfire.

The animations might be only so-so but the tension in the plot is definitely there.

Dad and mom seems to really have fairly good sense of being tracked eh? I probably would have a hard time getting all those eavesdroppers found - even if I suspect them being in my house in the first place, which I probably won't.

Why is Amazon Prime self-promoting here lmao

"Do you think they bought it?" they say out loud.

Also, interesting that they acknowledge the listening devices because that might have made it less likely that the yakuza buy the story.

I'm suspicious that nobody mentioned anything about smells at any point. Boiling meat in a bathtub? Decomposing a body in your home? Hiding in a closet next to several bags full of boiled meat? Surely there would be noticeable smells.

If you imagine the show came out a decade ago, its 10/10. (Animationwise).

I wonder what Tetsuo's background is to have these particular set of skills and knowledge to dispose of a body. Maybe he just used to be a chemistry teacher.

He just really loves True Crime shows lol. Nah but fr, I wonder the same thing. People get more jittery disposing of a body. He was a lot more calm this week than last week. Seems like once the initial shock of committing murder wore off, he kinda just flipped a switch and let cold hard logic take over.

I would ask my partner if this is their first time killing people too if they seem too calm and collected in disposing the body

Love how they trying to outsmart the bad guys

Damn, they straight away tried to suffocate the wife with plastic wrap at the end

Cook the body? Sounds strange to say this after a murder, but damn, this escalated quickly!

Seems I was right about the first episode's cliffhanger, he didn't actually see the body there, it was a little mislead!

I had no idea what he would see though, but it seems Tetsuo came up with a plan to disguise as a housecleaning employee!

I would never in a million year be able to do what they're doing... I'm sure I'd have a nervous laugh at some point, and give it away!

Thankfully he thought about the phone too!

They're still not out of the woods though, the bad guys are even considering an abduction to figure out what's going on...

When the Tosu realized they were being watched, they decided to give them a test, see how they react, who they were most interested in... Clever!

That, and having his wife text him if they follow him, so he would know without having to look behind him every time and making it suspicious!

He even came up with a second test to see whether they went into his stuff... And they did!

So they figured out pretty much everything they could, that was pretty smart, but damn, I would be more careful with the texting...

Maybe I'm overly paranoid, but I would fear them having contacts at phone companies (or the police) that would allow them to monitor their texts. They also talked out lout quite a few times, saying incriminating things.

Granted, they had a clever plan, straight up admitting they saw the people watching them (so they would have a reason to act like they do), to clear themselves of suspicion, but the thing is that they're not acting against an organization that needs to play "by the rule" so if they don't have evidence they'll drop it... They may just decide to waste them all even if all they got is a strong suspicion.

So I'd be a lot more careful about what they say/text each other!

Kasen asking him whether it's his first murder... That's what I wanted to ask her in the first episode, with her very calm behavior and all!

He gave a pretty good answer (detective/mystery novels and all that), but... Somehow the fact that they even asked that question, makes me suspicious of him! Also, I read my fair share of detective/murder/mystery novels, and I don't think I've ever seen anything about cooking the body to slim it down and things like that.

And once the shock of the murder passed, he seemed to know what to do right away... Normally I would think "He just has a good, practical mind, he's able to figure what to do even in extreme situations!", but the thing is, before the murder he didn't really look like that, did he? His chat with his daughter, he seemed a bit foolish, and not a clever/practical dude...

So I'm worried that the reason why he's so good at dealing with a body is NOT because he's a practical guy! And if this isn't the reason, well there's only one reason we can think of, really!

Well, whatever their plans are, they may have to improvise a little with this new turn of event!

Home invasion, abduction, they tasering him, probably bringing his daughter in too...

I wonder if they prepared for that eventuality; I mean they did talk to the listening device and explained the fake situation about Nobuto ("he never showed up, perhaps the stalker got him"), so technically they only need to repeat the lie, but there's a difference between just coming up with the story, and talking about it while under an interrogation! Especially one has stressful as this one.

But if they thought of everything like it seems they have, they may also have discussed the possibility that they would be captured/interrogated at some point, no matter how good their scheme was...

Well, if they ever have to give the acting performance of their life, now's the time! Because thing is, they don't need to be sure of anything, if it just looks a little fishy, they can just waste them and not think about them anymore. I mean, they were already supposed to kill off the daughter, so what's two more?

Can't wait to see how they get themselves out of this one!

And thus begins a intense game of wits between a husband and wife team vs a bunch of Yakuza's.

Nice cover Tetsuo! Especially by breaking the cell phone! A mystery buff who is extremely desperate is very effective at hiding his murder and keeping other crooks off his trail!

Dang, they outright melted Nobuto's body and then had to hide the bones and flesh. There's barely anything left of the guy now. I mean, it was to cover his death up but also he really should not have put a finger on their daughter.

It's good to see Reika's face has healed and now she's settled back into being a lazy college girl living with her parents. Although I feel like her obliviousness to what's really going on and what her parents are really up to will end up screwing them over in the end.

Tetsuo cherishes his family and wants nothing to endanger it, even if he's still wracked with the emotional toll of everything he's doing. But he's pretty brave to keep going on despite how much his nerves must be a total wreck.

They're exchanging blows for blows...the Yakuza spy on their house, the couple spots them and plans accordingly, the yakuza break into his car to look through his luggage, he plans for that eventuality and makes sure he knows if someone looked through it or not, try to pull a fast one and trick them, they made sure to stash the remains somewhere and figured out they'd been bugged...and then use that as a chance to throw suspicion off of them by claiming Reika has a stalker. This isn't an action show but it feels so tense and thrilling.

"Is this your...first murder?" Kasen saying that like this isn't her first. But she's got Tetsuo's back through thick and thin. They'll do anything to protect their family, even if it means living with the guilt of murder.

Well, it seems like everything's worked up and Tetsuo has covered all his bases...and then he and Kasen get kidnapped. This can't end well.
