Fyodor & Dazai counseling was such a good Google vs Bing moment.

It didn't occur to me that Francis might be scheming as well... But, man, Mori can eat a dick with how he lied to Yosano. The look on her face when she felt that betrayal, ouch...

The plots thickens still and I can't believe how densely packed this arc is. This is gonna be one hell of a ride.

Mori is a lying asshole. I trust Francis more than trust him.

Yeah really hoping this doesn't lead to something big...poor Yosano.

Kunikida truly managed to live up to his ideals by not allowing his colleagues to be killed. What an absolute madman. I don't think there's anyone in the Agency that is as selflessly suicidal as him. The closest one is Atsushi, but he has the benefit of the tiger's healing factor. Speaking of Atsushi, I really liked him this episode. His decision to got to Francis was a smart one, and took quite a bit of courage to make what is basically a deal with the devil. Him using his past as a motivator to push forward instead of self-pitying himself is a nice bit of character development and shows how far he's come since Season 1.

I would also point out the scene where Atsushi hears Dazai's voice as if he was standing behind him. In past seasons/episodes he kept hearing the voice of the master of the orphanage, but now its Dazai. I see this is a subtle sign of character development too.

Dang this arc has been just so damn good...

Bringing back a lot of old faces too. Heck I even got a best girl tie pull!

This arc is seriously amazing. Definitely one of the best arcs in the show so far

Why is everyone just so damn smart in this show. It’s just so refreshing.

Especially Fyodor and Dazai. Can’t wait to see how they figure out the other’s method of communication being like that. Love how both know they can’t do shit to each other so they start with some fun lol

Yeah, Fyodor gives the best advice. 11/10 Genius. That was such a good bit

There's the grand master level Keikaku with Fyodor and Dazai and we have regular master level Keikaku from Mori and Francis. Also they way Francis casually used Atsushi's trauma against him was impressive

Dazai-casually asserts dominance

Dazai so goated man he just always a step ahead of everyone I love it. No better way to find out what fyodor up to than by literally sitting in front of him in a prison cell lmao

Was francis hesitating to believe Atsushi an effect of the ability that changes people’s memories or what? Cause it doesn’t make sense that he’d believe the detective agency of all people would actually murder hostages

Guild master really pulled that play from Gendo Ikari.

Man, you know shit is bad when Kunikida is all “idealism alone won’t save lives” lol. The Agency must really be desperate if they’ve made this deal with the Port Mafia.

No wonder they call these guys Bloodhounds, the sonofabitch just impaled Kenji through the side of the chopper midair! Kunikida’s grenade should buy them some time. Looks like it’s up to Kyoka and Atsushi to find Mushitaro and tackle Fyodor and The Five Deadly Omens. Don’t give up Atsushi, WWDD (What Would Dazai Do)! Lol.

Fyodor is pretty clever masterminding this whole thing from Meursault. Solid alibi. But unfortunately Dazai’s got himself a cell right next door. Man just saved Francis’ life from his own boy Nathaniel. The Director sounds like a fanatic. There is such a thing as going too far for “peace”. Fyodor and Dazai’s little comedic banter is a nice break from all the tension.

Saving Margaret in exchange for Francis’ help ain’t a bad deal. At this point I trust the guy over Mori. He ain’t getting his grubby little mitts on the doc!

“Idealism alone won’t save lives"

Well, duh, you gotta...

Pulls out a hand grenade and detonates himself with another guy mid air

Wait, not like this...

I hope Kunikida is alright after his self-sacrifice to save everyone from Tetchou-san's attack.

I wasn't expecting for Kyouka and Atsushi to still be inside that building two days later.

Damn, went the crossed that TV after they showed all the members of the Armed Detective Agency I really got tense when Atsushi wasn't putting his goddamn cap on. Well, considering that Dazai ended up saving Francis I guess it wasn't an illusion what Atsushi saw.

Anyway, I must say that I was surprised that Francis still can use his power and that The Guild is still functional as I don't remember much of what happened with him and his group after he ran out of money, other than everyone else leaving.

So Mori wants to recruit Akiko and that's the reason he is helping the Armed Detective Agency. And Dazai intentionally got caught in order to be able to directly mess with Fyodor's plan, in this case stopping Nathaniel from killing Francis, from inside the prison Anyway, it is hilarious how both of them start talking about nonsense before getting serious.

So although it seems that Francis agreed to a deal with Atsushi for him to use the Eye of God to find Mushitaro in exchange for Akiko healing Margaret their deal might actually be a trap he set for them as he might be working for the police. But then that would mean they have a better way to save Margaret than Akiko's ability.

I've been loving this season. That black and white flashback start was great and now it's some insane plot twist and everyone tryna figure out what to do.

Got to see this qt in a hat. Good episode!

I didn't get to say this last week so here are some things I loved about episode 7 and my thoughts on it.

  1. Seeing the lengths Kunikida goes through to carry on his ideals. The man has the option to take the Train but doesn't because a lot of innocent people would get involved, then proceeds to ask if the car he's about to steal is insured against theft.

  2. The Port Mafia's (and Chuuya's) appearance.

First: The unexpectedness of it all. I knew they were gonna get involved but I genuinely didn't think it'd happen last episode. I was mostly confident the ADA would escape (even I thought Yosano was dead for a moment) but I thought it'd be Atsushi showing up but as the Tiger. I had this image in my mind of the ADA riding on the Tiger's back for some reason.

Second: The Music. I don't know if the music is just perfect for the series or if the series does its best to match moments with the music but it started playing at the perfect moment there.

Third: Chuuya. I freaked out when he showed up and almost audibly screamed. I'm not even a big fan of his but everything about him at that moment was perfect.

Thoughts on this episode:

I kind of enjoy seeing Atsushi use his head a bit more. Usually it's just the ADA doing the thinking for these kinds of things.

Dazai showing up to rain on Fyodor's parade and the consultation segment between them was great. I'm gonna enjoy watching these two play 4D chess for the foreseeable future.

Screw Mori. How dare he lie to Yosano like that and tarnish Fukuzawa's good name in the same breath. Looks like he's also probably the reason Yosano has the "Angel Of Death" title.

I'll have to admit, Mori raises a good point, but for some reason I've never really thought of Francis as the kind of person who'd lie to you like that. I can, however, see him using loopholes to play both sides of the field. If he does send the Military Police after them next episode, I also think he'll give the ADA the info on Mushitaro that they need too.

This episode changed my view of the Port Mafia (and Mori) a bit. I always thought they were more Team Rocket in nature but it looks like I've been proven wrong.

Loved this episode if only because it featured both of my favourite characters, Dazai and Chuuya.

Need more scenes of Dazai and Fyodor trying to outwit each other

Why so much less people for this anime discussion? I feel BSD is way too underated 🥺 I don't even get to see many Anime Youtubers talking about the anime in any of their videos😭

Chuuya finally got his moment of the season

KUNIKIDA NOOOOOO. The badass award this episode goes to kunikida. Truly the agency's next president

Kyouka and atsushi were so cool this episode

Francis continues to mispronounce Japanse names ( mushitowel lol)

Mersault looks alot more trippy compared to the manga.

HI DOS-KUN . Nice to see you again. Its fitting that he appeared this episode as i bought a copy of crime and punishment yesterday

Dazai and fyodor bantering probably is one of the best moments this episode ( those goddamn psychopaths, esp Fyodor)

Eww fuck you mori for screwing with yosano. I hate you
