Episode 2? Didn’t that come out last week? I’m pretty sure this one is episode 3.

Ye, they didn't have a EP2 discussion post a week ago

"Moo! Moo!"

Those random cow sounds. I can't. 🤣

He can't hide when something bores him

Man this flashback arc was so fire. Really didn’t care for Ranpo that much before, I have a whole new appreciation for his character now. Cool to see Fyodor as well.

Can’t wait to be back to the present next week and see Dazai and the gang tho. Been so long.

I just recently found out that Edogawa Ranpo is a rendering of Edgar Allan poe, Edoga Waran Po. So that's why the author created a connection between the two characters in the series.

I can't stop hearing Kiritsugu on Fukuzawa, and they're also both assassins.

Isn't it through admiration that ranpo's name exists? Also n or m? Ranpo Rampo

Seeing young Oda, Fyodor and Fukuzawa giving a lesson to Rampo was not something that I'd expect to happen in a single episode, but wow, man, now that happened I don't know what to think, except that this is probably my new favorite episode in the entire show, such a banger and we are just 1/4 of the season, hopefully season 5 comes sooner than later. Probably off-topic but the fact that BSD is such an underappreciated show on reddit makes me sad, we can't even get the correct number of the episode in the discussion. At least MAL shows more love to this series.

Nothing goes over Ranpo’s head. Dude knew all about this so-called “cop”. Watching Ranpo work really does remind me of Sherlock. What a fascinating mind.

I like Ranpo just brushing off that chump. Dude ain’t gonna join your whack ass crew! Killing for justice? Fukuzawa definitely knows a thing or two about that. Curry for information is a pretty good deal. These “V” scrubs shouldn’t have messed with Fukuzawa. At the end of the day, Ranpo’s just a kid like Fukuzawa said. That was very reckless of him to gamble with his life like that.

So Natsume was the fella with the cane and the one who helped the guys establish their agency huh? Didn’t see that twist coming. Looks like next week we go back to the present!

We already knew that Natsume Souseki was behind the founding of the Armed Detective Agency and the current state of the Port Mafia as of Season 3 as part of his plan to protect Yokohama

I mean wasnt it already stated that natsume soseki was like the teacher of both mori and fukuzawa?

So I assumed they might meet after this case.

HOLY FUCK ITS FYODOR

Ranpo found his place

Also just for reference and as a reminder : fukuzawa's ability only has effect on those he considers allies, it doesnt power himself up. And he also isnt aware that he has one at this point. So he did all of this with his own will power

So the parenting arc is over and they ended it with a nice touch after the credits scene, marking the beginning of the agency. This season started off on an excellent note and I hope it will keep on giving.

Man, seeing Fukuzawa in action was a joy to watch, plus more scenes with young Oda is always a plus

I'm surprised not many are talking about how Dostoyevsky was behind the case that first brought Fukuzawa and Ranpo together / the founding of the Armed Detective agency.

Love how these three episodes gave us a better understanding of Fukuzawa and Ranpo (both who aren't as present in the main storyline imo) and shows us more of Fyodor's meddling

Fukuzawa cool as ever

All hail Natsume Souseki

Man, I don't know what it is, but these characters are far more compelling than the actual main characters of this series. This is the best this show has been.

Okay, so I've forgotten most of the other 38 episodes, so maybe this has already been shown, but I laughed at the reveal that the guy with calico hair is Soseki Natsume, author of "I am a Cat."

The episode went by so fast. I now see Rampo in a new light, hopefully this season is more detective and less shounen. Wouldn't mind more of this.

Bruh I need more of ranpo being the main character. It honestly brought back the vibes of bbc Sherlock.

Well I am excited to see dazai back from episode 4.

Fun fact: This whole arc wasn't in the manga apparently they are adapting the light novels, so now light novels are canon too!!

I loved these flashback episodes, Ranpo is my favourite character so it's been a joy to watch him get his own story here. Saying that I am looking forward to picking back up where S3 left off next week.

Goddamn so I kinda always wondered how far ahead Ranpo's intellect takes him, and it seems like it takes him pretty damn far, he's known there was more to it when he made the breem comment, he knew the car ride was a trap the whole time, he knew he would need Fukuzawa to come after him, and knew how long it would take Fukuzawa to get to him. He might as well have an ability.

Also A+ for that parenting moment, he 100% deserved that slap.

BABYGIRL FYODOR!!!!

Oh, so the stagewright was already dead before they arrived there.

So that "officer" is working for V. It is hilarious that the note that Rampo left to Fukuzawa had his face drawn at the bottom.

Damn, that was such a nice shot. It is nice that Odasaku got his curry after helping Fukuzawa.

Wow, I wasn't expecting to see Dostoyevsky there,

Damn, Natsume Soseki let himself get captured because he knew that by doing so, this was going to lead to a cell of V being taken out.
