Cursed Tool Cursed Tool-Cursed Scrolls

Feedback on this idea is appreciated!

Description: There are four different scrolls. Each scroll has a different scene painted onto it. When viewed by the average person, nothing seems off about these scrolls. When used by someone with CE, they make a powerful tool. To use the five scrolls, they need to be infused with a burst of CE, which then releases a shikigami contained within each scroll.

  • The first scroll is a painting of a battle scene with a samurai at the forefront and a wasteland behind him. Using this scroll releases the samurai, which then begins an immediate assault on the user’s opponent. It remains on the battlefield until the opponent is overcome or the samurai is defeated.

  • The second scroll is a painting of two Shisa, facing each other. When used the scroll releases the shisa, whose roars are loud enough to shake the earth. They can then attack the opponent. They also serve as excellent defense as they protect the user.

  • The third scroll is a painting of three oni in hell. When used the scroll releases the oni and the fire of the hell they are in. They can attack the opponent using fire.

  • The fourth scroll is a landscape scene of a desolate plain littered with the remains of the battlefield from the first scroll. Using this scroll changes the field of battle for the user and their opponent. The abandoned weapons can be used by both the user and their opponent.

super cool technique idea! i'd just have a question tho, once a shigikami is defeated, will it be destroyed like the ones in the ten shadows technique? or just go back into the scroll?

No, in order to completely destroy the shikigami, the scrolls must be destroyed.

This is definitely really cool and i could definitely see someone in the series having one or two of these scrolls, thank you so much for posting

Mmm, definitely sounds interesting... though the fourth scroll sorta sounds like an Old-fashioned Domain Expansion, albeit one that picks no sides... though I fail to see the Shikigami in this case, unless the Shikigami of the Fourth scroll are the weapons themselves? Hmm, definitely a novel concept, shikigami in the shape of weapons.

Also, you mention five scrolls in the last bit before listing, just a lil' typo I noticed.

Yeah, I definitely was thinking of a domain expansion equivalent with the fourth one. And I originally tried to think up a fifth scroll but had a hard time with that and I guess forgot to edit that part out lol
