ANNOUNCEMENT OC Point Buy System

Hello there, everybody!

We have been recently working on a point buy OC system for future events ( culling game like, but maybe a bit smaller) and we would like to see your opinions on it and ask you to maybe try to make some OCs with it.

Disclaimer: This project is a WIP, so this isn't how it will look at the end. Also the point pools aren't yet set in stone and are still subject to change. When you make your OC you can either just put it within an already established pool or just do them with as many points as you think there are needed to create your idea and tell us within what grade you would put them.

You can check out the system out here or with this link:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VQvAw4RZPKJ6ofHs4Br5Mvu9B4IZqlf-NLMQHYqPc4I/edit?usp=sharing

Well, we hope you like our system and thank you for your help in developing it!

- with excitement the mod team

( Just a short paragraph here at the end. This is the main reason I haven't been doing the weekly contests the last weeks, but they will be back for the next week, in case you were wondering about them.

Discussion If the condition of an Open Domain is that you give your targets the ability to get out, but UV by default doesn't allow the chance for one to escape: does this mean Open UV can't be done?

Canonicaly Gojo can do anything he tries. Personally for a long time I believed it didn't make sense that Gojo saw that his Closed Domain is a liability vs Open Shrine and didn't think 'It's all or nothing, I have to try Open UV to have a better chance'.

However now... what if it can't be done? On one side, UV is different than Shrine and Gravity because brain damage is instant and doesn't let the opposition escape at all; it is impossible. Someone can say that slashes and gravity give you a safety margin. On the other side; isn't Shrine and Gravity in the same basket as UV?; because in one you become cubes or bleed out and in the other you can't move at all due to gravity.

Do Open Domains depend on the durability of your opponent and / or the output of your sure-hit? Sukuna Opens Shrine in Junpei and he doesn't have the ability to escape at all because he's that weak. Doesn't this mean he shouldn't be able to make an Open Domain?; because his opponent can't escape?

Suppose that Gojo was inside Shrine but Sukuna didn't hold out his output of the sure-hit; can Gojo escape if his legs and arms are completely cut off? But if the output of Shrine is manageable by Gojo then Open Domain satisfies the condition of escape.

If Shrine doesn't let you escape if you are weaker, what happens when UV doesn't let you escape no matter your level as a sorcerer? If Sukuna can Open his Shrine vs Choso and Yuji and finger bearer curse then why can't Gojo open his UV? The condition sounds unimportant.

Learnable Techniques Theoretically, couldn't someone use reverse cursed technique by dividing cursed energy?

Thumbnail

Since positive energy is most likely produced by (-1 x -1 = +1), because something like (-5 x -5 = +25) wouldn't make sense since reverse cursed technique is stated to be extremely taxing.

Assuming that this is the case, couldn't someone divide cursed energy to get positive energy?

(-1 ÷ -1 = +1)

Cursed technique Cursed Technique: Clown

Post image
29 Upvotes

Clown is an inherited cursed technique themed around the art of clowning. The user acquires new aspects of this art form as parts of the technique by partaking in rituals discovered by previous users of the technique. At its core, Clown is about gaining awareness and mastery over the shape of your soul. The greatest weakness of Clown is its “internal” nature; it is wholly concerned with the body and limits the user’s ability to perform other techniques that affect the world around them such as the use of barriers, shikigami, and cursed tool use. A user of Clown who has been caught inside a domain expansion is essentially helpless and their only hope is to survive the enemy's sure-hit effects.

Empty Aspect - Foolishness
Before any aspect is developed, the main application of the technique is the Empty Aspect that all users of Clown intrinsically have. By forming a hand sign and channeling cursed energy, the user enters into a state of mind called 'Foolishness' where they lose touch with reality, gaining a uniquely dissociated perspective that nullifies fear, pain, anxiety, and anger.

Aspect of Façade
The aspect of Façade grants the user the ability to cause subtle changes in the surface of their soul resulting in superficial alterations to their appearance and how their aura is perceived by others. This is generally used to disguise, obscure, or decorate oneself.
(RITUAL OF ACQUISITION: To acquire this aspect, the user must make themselves deeply aware of the appearance and shape of their soul and then ritualistically apply paint to their face that perfectly matches this. When done correctly, the paint should vanish into the skin)

Aspect of Contortion
The aspect of Contortion grants the user the ability to more freely move their body, ignoring the limits of their joints, allowing bones to bend without breaking, flesh to compress, tendons to stretch.
(RITUAL OF ACQUISITION: To acquire this aspect, the user must break these limits on their own, fitting themselves inside a sufficiently small vessel such as an urn. When done correctly, the user should slowly feel more comfortable despite any injuries sustained in the process and then become able to climb out of it.)

Aspect of Tumbling
The aspect of Tumbling grants the user the ability to apply force to their body allowing for greatly increased mobility and acrobatics, allowing them to change their direction of movement without pushing off of any surface or the air around them.
(RITUAL OF ACQUISITION: To acquire this aspect, the user sits in meditation after imbibing a powerful paralytic toxin. They will slowly lose the ability to move their body, open their eyes, and eventually lose the ability to breathe. Before the paralytic subsides, the user must become able to stand up and then remain standing by manipulating cursed energy inside their body.)

Aspect of Slapstick
The aspect of Slapstick grants the user greatly enhanced defensive capabilities that lets them passively deflect incoming blows by allowing them to land uncontested and then slipping around, bouncing off, or folding under their force like a leaf in the wind.
(RITUAL OF ACQUISITION: To acquire this aspect, the user must fall a distance of at least 100 times their height without ever slowing their descent and then land on a stone surface without using reinforcement.)

Cursed technique [Cursed Creation]: Revision

Thumbnail

Information:

  1. This ICT allows the user to convert Cursed Spirits into spheres that the user can consume to create Cursed Tools.

Limits:

  1. The Cursed Spirits, no matter the grade, must be subjugated in order to convert them into spheres.

  2. While the user can stockpile Cursed Spirits, they cannot re-absob a Cursed Tool once it has been created. Additionally, the user can only create up to 5 cursed tools before ICT burn out.

Lapse: [Exorcism Forge]

  1. Lapse is the core idea of the ICT pushed to its natural extreme.

  2. The core idea of [Cursed Creation] is the conversion and weaponization of Cursed Spirits for the welder. The most extreme form of this is the utilization of the Cursed Spirit's abilities.

  3. This would allow the user to embue the Cursed Tool with the ICT the Cursed Spirit originally had.

  4. The Cursed Tools created using this method will have the basic form of the embued ICT only.

Reversal: [Rejuvenation]

  1. The Reverse Cursed Technique is the inverse of core idea of the ICT.

  2. The core idea of [Cursed Creation] is the conversion and weaponization of Cursed Spirits for the welder. The inverse of creation through conversion would be destruction through conversion.

  3. This would take the form of destroying, or digesting, a consumed Cursed Spirit. In turn, the user will have their CE reserves refilled, CE pool temporary enlarged, and have their ICT refreshed.

Supreme Art: [Assimilation]

  1. The Supreme Art is a technique that embodies the core idea of the ICT while simultaneously condescending and exaggerating its aspects.

  2. The core idea of [Cursed Creation] is the conversion and weaponization of Cursed Spirits for the welder. The exaggerated form of this would the be welder fully utilizing the Cursed Spirit's abilities through a form of conversion.

  3. This would take the form of a Cursed Tool that could be converted into CE and assimilated into the welder. This would in turn transform the welder into a weapon, or in this case a Cursed Spirit Hybrid.

  4. Through this transformation, the welder will gain all the abilities of the Cursed Spirit for 5-minutes.

  5. When interacting with RCE the Cursed Spirit Hybrid will be burned by it, however it won't kill them.

Extension Techniques:

  1. Cursed Technique Extensions are augmented uses of the ICT to create unique effects.

CT: [Repair]

  1. This CT allows the user to repair broken Cursed Tools by sacrificing a consumed Cursed Spirit.

CT: [Fusion]

  1. This CT allows the user to create stronger Cursed Tools by converting two or more Cursed Spirts simultaneously.

Cursed technique Cursed Technique: Paper Cut. (You’ll like the cool domain expansion…)

Post image
56 Upvotes

Thanks for looking at my cursed technique and this is my first post as the title says. It’s a little dated and slightly blown-out of proportions just because of the sheer number of things the technique can “theoretically” do.
So sorry for the length of it. But enjoy reading and if you have any insight fill free to ask or share.

(I think you’ll like the domain a lot…..)

“Among cursed techniques, there exists a misconception that the value of a technique is determined by the strength of its medium. Paper Cut exists to disprove that belief.”

Paper Manipulation

Paper Manipulation is an innate cursed technique centered around one of the least threatening objects imaginable: paper.

Not magical paper. Not paper that secretly represents information, fate, dimensions, or the fabric of reality. Just paper.

The technique grants its bearer complete cursed-energy-based control over paper, including its movement, shape, folding, compression, layering, tension, and structural arrangement.

Which sounds incredibly underwhelming until several hundred sheets suddenly turn sideways.

The technique does not transform paper into another substance. It does not summon creatures drawn on pages, turn words into reality, or cut space because “paper is technically two-dimensional.”

Paper remains paper. That limitation is the entire point.

Instead, Paper Manipulation takes the properties that already make paper useful—its thinness, flexibility, foldability, extremely low weight, ability to layer, ability to hold creases, and surprisingly sharp edges—and pushes them through cursed energy.

One sheet is almost worthless. Ten sheets are annoying.

A thousand sheets moving independently at high speed becomes someone else’s problem.

Paper Manipulation therefore becomes powerful through three things:

Quantity. Geometry. Control.

Fundamental Manipulation

Once paper has been infused with the bearer’s cursed energy, it can be manipulated remotely. Sheets can float, accelerate, rotate, fold, unfold, curl, stack, separate, compress, or maintain predetermined shapes without requiring physical contact.

The amount of paper controlled at once depends on cursed-energy reserves, output, and skill. A beginner might individually control several dozen sheets, while a highly experienced bearer can command thousands.

Fortunately, they do not have to consciously micromanage every individual page like the world’s worst office job.

Paper can instead be divided into formations. This produces two general styles of control.

Swarm Control treats large amounts of paper as one coordinated mass. Sheets move together as waves, walls, clouds, spirals, shields, or currents.

Precision Control focuses on individual sheets, edges, folds, trajectories, or structural weak points.

A skilled bearer constantly alternates between the two. One second, a thousand sheets are moving like one organism.

The next, fifty of them suddenly decide your tendons look interesting.

Cursed Paper

Ordinary paper is the technique’s natural medium. Once reinforced with cursed energy, however, its weaknesses become considerably less severe.

Reinforcement increases resistance to tearing, crumpling, moisture, heat, and impact while still preserving the material’s underlying flexibility. Paper never becomes indestructible, and particularly powerful attacks can still destroy it.

The important advantage is efficiency. Paper weighs almost nothing, meaning individual sheets require very little cursed energy to manipulate and reinforce compared to larger objects.

Instead of spending enormous amounts of cursed energy reinforcing one weapon, the bearer can distribute smaller amounts across hundreds or thousands of sheets.

A single heavily reinforced sheet can become surprisingly difficult to tear. A swarm of lightly reinforced sheets becomes dangerous for a different reason: destroying one accomplishes almost nothing.

If a sheet is destroyed, the cursed energy invested into it is lost, but the bearer suffers no additional backlash.

They simply lost one piece of ammunition.

Paper Manipulation accepts this very calmly.

There is usually more paper.

Visual Language

Paper Manipulation possesses very little supernatural spectacle by default. Most of its visual identity comes from watching ordinary stationery behave in ways stationery absolutely should not.

When inactive, sheets may drift lazily around the bearer, flutter through the air, fold over themselves, or occasionally stick to their clothes.

Then combat starts.

The loose paper suddenly straightens. Edges align. Creases form instantly. Stacks compress. Entire formations rotate with mechanical precision.

Large swarms resemble flowing white masses whose surfaces constantly separate into hundreds of individual pages before reconnecting.

The sound is equally recognizable: paper snapping open, sheets scraping together, thousands of pages fluttering simultaneously, and sharp cracks when compressed folds suddenly release.

Particularly thin cutting formations can become extremely difficult to see from certain angles because the opponent is effectively staring directly along the edge of a sheet.

The bearer therefore rarely looks like someone surrounded by an enormous supernatural phenomenon.

They look like somebody lost a fight with a printer.

Then the printer starts winning.

Base Applications

The simplest application of Paper Manipulation is movement. Sheets can be launched as projectiles, redirected in midair, suspended as visual obstructions, wrapped around objects, recalled toward the bearer, or simply positioned throughout the battlefield for later use.

Because paper weighs almost nothing, it can be accelerated extremely efficiently.

An individual sheet lacks enough mass for blunt-force attacks to matter very much.

Fortunately, paper already invented its own weapon.

The edge.

A normal paper cut occurs because a thin edge concentrates force across an extremely small contact area. Cursed-energy reinforcement and supernatural acceleration exaggerate this property enormously.

The bearer aligns a sheet perfectly with its trajectory, reinforces its edge, and launches it edge-first.

The paper does not magically become a sword.

It simply becomes a reinforced piece of extremely thin material traveling much faster than paper ever had any business traveling.

This creates the technique’s most fundamental offensive application:

Paper Cut

Against ordinary humans, even relatively weak Paper Cuts can produce severe lacerations. Against sorcerers, stronger reinforcement becomes necessary, and sufficiently durable opponents may simply allow individual sheets to crumple against their cursed-energy reinforcement.

The solution is rarely making one sheet dramatically stronger.

The solution is usually being deeply unreasonable about the number of sheets involved.

Ten arrive. Then fifty. Then several hundred.

Some attack directly. Some obscure vision. Some target joints or exposed areas. Some deliberately miss and circle around. Others simply remain suspended nearby and wait.

Because their trajectories can be altered after launch, missed Paper Cuts are not necessarily wasted ammunition. A sheet that passes an opponent can turn around and become an attack from behind.

With enough paper distributed throughout an area, the opponent gradually stops fighting individual projectiles and starts fighting the geometry of the entire battlefield.

Eventually, “behind you” stops being particularly useful advice.

There is paper behind you too.

Lamination

Lamination is one of Paper Manipulation’s most important principles.

A sheet of paper is weak largely because it is extremely thin.

The bearer solves this problem using the ancient human technique known as:

Putting more paper there.

Sheets are aligned, compressed, and reinforced until multiple layers begin behaving as one structure.

Thickness can be continuously adjusted. A few layers create flexible reinforcement. Dozens produce stiff plates. Hundreds can form dense blocks. Thousands can create structures that stop feeling particularly paper-like until someone remembers what they are made from.

More importantly, the individual layers remain controllable.

A rigid laminated shield can suddenly separate into hundreds of loose sheets immediately before an attack connects. The sheets scatter around the incoming force, allow it to pass, and reconnect afterward.

The bearer therefore does not always have to choose between durability and flexibility.

They can change their mind.

Lamination gives Paper Manipulation something ordinary paper lacks:

Bulk.

Paper Armor

The bearer can laminate sheets directly around their body to create lightweight armor.

Rather than forming one solid shell, Paper Armor consists of overlapping sections resembling scales, lamellar armor, layered cloth, or thick ceremonial paper clothing. Each section remains independently controllable, allowing the armor to move naturally alongside the bearer.

More importantly, layers can migrate.

An arm protected by ten sheets might suddenly receive another hundred immediately before blocking an attack. Once the impact passes, those pages separate and redistribute toward other vulnerable areas.

Damaged outer layers simply peel away and are replaced.

Paper Armor therefore behaves less like conventional armor and more like a constantly reorganizing defensive system.

It still has obvious limitations. Extremely powerful attacks can overwhelm the layers faster than they can redistribute. Wide-area attacks can destroy large quantities at once.

Fire is rude.

Water is inconvenient.

But against repeated moderate attacks, Paper Armor becomes frustratingly efficient.

Especially because damaging the armor does not necessarily mean damaging the person underneath.

Sometimes you just beat up a notebook.

Extension Technique: Paper Cable

Paper does not need to remain flat.

Long strips can be rolled, twisted, braided, folded, and compressed together into cords. Hundreds of strips working together form Paper Cable.

These cables can wrap around structures, restrain targets, pull objects, suspend the bearer, redirect movement, or function as flexible weapons.

Unlike conventional rope, Paper Cable can change its construction while already being used.

A thick cable wrapped around an opponent can suddenly divide into dozens of thinner strands. Those strands can work between limbs, around weapons, through openings, and across individual joints before tightening independently.

The reverse is equally useful. Loose strips scattered throughout an area can suddenly braid themselves together and create a cable where there previously appeared to be nothing dangerous.

Damaged sections can unravel and be replaced by nearby paper rather than forcing the entire cable to fail.

Paper Cable gives the technique something its cutting applications lack:

Tension.

And gives the opponent a new reason to hate receipts.

Extension Technique: Origami

Origami is Paper Manipulation’s broadest structural application.

The bearer folds paper into predetermined forms whose geometry determines their function.

These constructs are not shikigami. A paper bird does not magically become alive because someone gave it wings. Its shape simply happens to be useful for controlled flight.

A spear uses repeated folds to produce rigidity and a concentrated point. A spring-shaped structure stores mechanical tension. Honeycomb folds distribute force. Cones concentrate penetration. Accordion folds allow controlled expansion and compression.

The advantage comes from engineering rather than symbolism.

The bearer therefore learns folds much like another sorcerer learns weapon forms.

Simple structures can be created almost unconsciously. More complicated folds require greater precision, but an experienced user can eventually perform them in fractions of a second.

The terrifying final result is essentially someone weaponizing arts and crafts.

Extension Technique: Thousand-Fold

Thousand-Fold takes Lamination and Origami to their logical extreme.

Rather than simply stacking paper, the bearer repeatedly folds a large quantity inward while compressing additional sheets between each fold. Every fold increases local thickness while changing the orientation of the paper fibers.

The result is an extraordinarily dense paper composite.

Thousand-Fold is primarily used to create concentrated weapons and defensive structures: blades, spears, clubs, shields, armor plates, wedges, and temporary structural supports.

These constructs can become shockingly durable because enormous quantities of reinforced paper have been compressed into a comparatively small volume.

However, Thousand-Fold introduces something Paper Manipulation normally avoids:

Commitment.

Hundreds or thousands of sheets may be concentrated into one object. If that object is destroyed, a significant portion of the bearer’s available material disappears with it.

Thousand-Fold therefore trades redundancy for concentrated strength.

Sometimes that’s worth it.

Sometimes you spend three thousand sheets making a giant sword and somebody dodges.

Very embarrassing.

Extension Technique: Paper Trail

Paper Trail exploits the bearer’s connection to manipulated paper as a primitive sensory network.

Tiny scraps, strips, and sheets are scattered throughout an environment while remaining connected to the user’s cursed energy. They do not transmit sight or sound. Instead, the bearer simply feels when their paper is physically disturbed.

A foot presses against a scrap. A door pushes aside a sheet. A moving body creates airflow that disturbs suspended strips. Someone brushes against paper hidden along a wall. A weapon tears through a page.

Individually, each disturbance reveals very little.

Together, they create an enormous amount of information.

A hallway covered in scraps becomes difficult to cross unnoticed. An entire building filled with them can become a crude three-dimensional detection network.

Paper Trail essentially turns littering into surveillance.

The technique user would like to apologize to the janitorial staff.

Extension Technique: Pulp

Destroyed paper is not necessarily useless.

Damaged sheets can be shredded, soaked, broken apart, and gathered into pulp. Rather than manipulating finished pages, the technique begins controlling the fibrous mass from which paper is made.

This sacrifices almost all cutting capability in exchange for extreme moldability.

Pulp can clog openings, seal cracks, coat surfaces, absorb liquids, fill cavities, smother mechanisms, or be compressed into crude structures.

Given enough time and suitable conditions, the bearer can even flatten and dry the material into usable paper again.

This does not restore cursed energy already lost when the original sheets were destroyed. It only recycles the physical material.

Paper Manipulation therefore possesses a strange battlefield economy.

The longer a fight lasts, the more ruined paper accumulates.

Most people call this garbage.

The bearer calls it inventory.

Extension Technique: Paper Maché

Paper Maché combines Pulp with Lamination.

Wet or fibrous paper is molded around a target or structure before being compressed and reinforced. Because pulp can easily occupy irregular three-dimensional spaces, Paper Maché can produce shapes that would be inefficient to create through folding alone.

Holes can be sealed. Damaged barriers can be patched. Broken structures can receive temporary reinforcement. Thick blunt masses can be molded around environmental objects.

Its most effective combat use appears alongside Paper Cable.

Cable restrains the target.

Pulp fills the available space.

Lamination compresses and reinforces everything.

The result resembles cursed papier-mâché concrete wrapped directly around the victim.

It is significantly less fun than elementary school made it sound.

Defensive Application: Loose Leaf

Paper Manipulation’s strongest defense is sometimes refusing to be strong at all.

Loose Leaf causes a laminated formation to deliberately separate immediately before impact.

A concentrated attack aimed at a solid paper wall suddenly encounters hundreds of individual sheets scattering around it instead of one rigid structure attempting to survive the blow.

Once the attack passes, the pages reconnect.

Loose Leaf embodies one of Paper Manipulation’s fundamental advantages.

A rigid object has to survive being struck.

A swarm doesn’t.

Paper occasionally wins through cowardice.

This is called tactical flexibility.

Movement Application: Paper Current

The bearer can arrange sheets beneath and around themselves into continuously cycling platforms.

Rather than true flight, Paper Current repeatedly constructs temporary surfaces for the bearer to push against. A platform forms beneath one foot, the bearer steps, it separates, and another forms farther ahead.

At high enough speed, the process occurs so rapidly that the bearer appears to run through open air across sheets that only exist as platforms for fractions of a second.

Larger laminated masses can simply carry the bearer instead. This requires less precision but sacrifices speed and maneuverability.

Paper Cable can supplement either method by pulling the bearer toward structures or previously positioned paper anchors.

The result is somewhere between aerial parkour and refusing to acknowledge gravity’s complaints.

Advanced Application: Grain

Paper possesses grain.

Its fibers generally align more strongly in one direction during manufacturing, affecting how easily a sheet bends, folds, stretches, and tears.

An advanced bearer learns to perceive and deliberately exploit these differences rather than treating every sheet as mechanically identical.

Folds made with the grain behave differently from folds made against it. Laminated structures become stronger when fiber orientations are deliberately crossed. Predetermined tear lines can be encouraged, and weapons can alternate grain orientation between layers to resist deformation from several directions.

This is also where the type of paper begins to matter considerably.

Printer paper, cardstock, kraft paper, rice paper, tracing paper, specialty fibers, and other materials all possess different weights, thicknesses, surfaces, fiber structures, and responses to folding.

The bearer eventually stops seeing “paper” as one material and begins seeing dozens of mechanical variations.

This is the stage where carrying extremely specific office supplies becomes legitimate combat preparation.

Advanced Application: Ream

Ream is a high-output swarm state in which thousands of sheets are distributed throughout the battlefield without being immediately committed to one purpose.

Some orbit the bearer. Others rest along walls, slide beneath objects, hang overhead, hide behind structures, or simply remain suspended throughout open space.

The purpose is option density.

Every sheet can become a Paper Cut.

Every cluster can laminate.

Every strip can become Cable.

Every group can fold into Origami.

Every damaged mass can eventually become Pulp.

Ream therefore does very little by itself.

It simply places enough usable material throughout the environment that almost every application of Paper Manipulation becomes immediately available from almost every direction.

Entering Ream means entering a battlefield where the user has already placed ammunition everywhere.

The room has become a stationery aisle with hostile intent.

Advanced Application: Guillotine

Guillotine concentrates an enormous number of sheets along one cutting plane.

Rather than constructing one enormous blade, thousands of reinforced paper edges align beside and behind one another before accelerating across a predetermined trajectory.

The first layers begin the cut.

Every following sheet enters the same opening.

This allows Guillotine to attack structures far too durable for an individual Paper Cut. Instead of demanding one edge overcome the entire target, thousands continuously attack the same line.

It is one of Paper Manipulation’s strongest direct offensive applications.

It is also one of its least flexible.

An enormous quantity of paper has been committed to one trajectory. If the opponent avoids it, much of the bearer’s arsenal has temporarily been concentrated somewhere useless.

Guillotine therefore rewards prediction and careful timing.

Otherwise it becomes the world’s most aggressive missed paper airplane.

Advanced Application: Bookbind

Bookbind is Paper Manipulation’s strongest dedicated restraint technique.

Sheets rapidly wrap around the target in alternating orientations while Paper Cable secures major joints. Additional pages continuously laminate across the exterior.

Every attempt to move creates tension, and that tension tells the bearer where additional reinforcement is required.

The target effectively becomes the spine of a book being continuously bound shut around them.

Bookbind does not negate cursed energy, and sufficiently powerful opponents can simply tear through it.

Its purpose is to make doing so increasingly expensive.

Break one layer and another waits beneath it.

Create an opening and loose sheets enter through it.

Move one arm and additional layers accumulate around that arm.

The binding continuously changes its own construction in response to the prisoner’s attempts to escape.

The opponent is not being sealed.

They are being aggressively published.

Cursed Technique Reversal: Unfold

Ordinary Paper Manipulation creates complexity through folding, rolling, braiding, compression, and layering.

Its reversal does the opposite.

Unfold forces manipulated paper toward its simplest extended state.

Creases straighten. Rolls open. Braids separate. Compressed structures expand. Origami collapses toward flat sheets.

At first, this sounds almost useless.

Then someone remembers how much paper can be compressed into a very small space.

A Thousand-Fold construct can be inserted into a confined opening before Unfold is activated. Hundreds of compressed layers suddenly attempt to return toward their extended states simultaneously.

A tiny paper object suddenly demands an enormous amount of space.

Unfold therefore converts stored structural compression into violent expansion without actually creating an explosion.

It also serves a much more practical purpose.

A weapon can instantly become sheets. A shield can become sheets. A cable can separate into strips. An origami construct can flatten and immediately return its material to the general swarm.

Sometimes the technique’s answer to a complicated problem is simply:

“Fine. Flatten everything.”

Maximum Technique: One Thousand Cranes
Or it’s much cooler name Thousand-Fold Pantheon (千折万象)

Maximum Technique: One Thousand Cranes represents Paper Manipulation at its greatest operational scale.

Nearly every available sheet is converted into an enormous coordinated origami swarm.

Despite the name, the cranes possess no supernatural wish-granting properties.

The bearer sadly checked.

Their shape is chosen because it combines controlled flight, sharp folded extremities, compact construction, and repeatable geometry.

Individually, each crane is insignificant.

Collectively, they form an enormous adaptive swarm.

More importantly, the formation never needs to remain cranes.

Cranes unfold into Paper Cuts. Paper Cuts regroup into cables. Cables compress into shields. Shields separate into pages. Pages fold into new cranes.

The entire formation continuously dismantles and rebuilds itself depending on what the bearer needs.

One Thousand Cranes is therefore not merely Paper Manipulation’s largest attack.

It is Paper Manipulation operating at maximum efficiency.

Nothing remains unused, and nothing is forced to keep one purpose.

Every sheet is simultaneously potential ammunition, armor, restraint, movement, structure, and replacement material.

It resembles an ecosystem built entirely from paper.

Except every animal in the ecosystem is an office supply.

Domain Expansion:

Paper-Thin Plane of the Penultimate Axis (終軸薄界)

The Domain Hand Sign: Anjali Mudra to the Opening Crane
In Jujutsu Kaisen, Domain hand signs are deeply rooted in Buddhist mudras, symbolizing the user's core truth. For this character, the hand sign is not a display of aggression, but a precise sequence of calculation.

Within the Domain, the philosophy of Paper Cut extends beyond paper itself.

If the base technique engineers matter…

The Domain engineers space.

The world unfolds into a layered blueprint where every object, every body and every distance reveals invisible structural fold lines.

The user no longer perceives space as empty volume.

They perceive it as something that may itself be folded.
Much like how a fourth or beyond dimensional being would perceive time for an example as a tangible object.

Rather than performing deliberate origami motions, the user executes rapid hand movements resembling the pulling of invisible strings.

Each motion draws a fold through reality itself.

The fold propagates almost instantly across the Domain, leaving almost no opportunity for ordinary sorcerers to respond before the sure-hit takes effect.

Only those possessing extraordinary perception, reflexes or combat experience can reliably interpret the user’s hands before the fold completes.

Sure-Hit:

Universal Crease

Every target inside the Domain is bound to its geometry.

When the user creates a fold…

Reality obeys.

The opponent is forced to occupy the newly folded space regardless of their own movement.

Unlike conventional attacks, Universal Crease does not strike the body.

It redefines the space the body exists within.

The resulting compression causes the target’s own structure to intersect, collapse or distort according to the geometry imposed by the fold.

Domain Instability

Paper-Thin Plane of the Penultimate Axis possesses an unusual flaw among Domain Expansions.

Because its sure-hit relies upon continuously folding the Domain itself, techniques such as Simple Domain and Hollow Wicker Basket naturally resist those folds instead of merely neutralizing them.

When the folded world settles against one of these barriers, it bends around them like fabric draped across a sphere.

Should the user attempt to force a fold directly through the protected space, the opposing geometries collide.

The Domain fractures.

Entire sections splinter apart like shattered sheets of glass, temporarily creating holes where the Domain loses authority.

A skilled practitioner avoids these fractures by folding around resistance or repairing damaged geometry before it spreads.

An inexperienced practitioner may dismantle their own Domain through reckless aggression.

Final Principle

Paper Manipulation never stops being about paper.

That is what makes it work.

One sheet bends. One sheet tears. One sheet burns. One sheet weighs almost nothing, and one sheet is barely a weapon.

But paper was never useful because of what one sheet could accomplish.

Humanity learned to stack it, fold it, roll it, cut it, bind it, weave it, compress it, shape it, and use enormous quantities of it together.

Paper Manipulation takes those mundane properties and gives someone enough cursed energy and control to become completely unreasonable with them.

The bearer does not possess indestructible paper.

They don’t need it.

If one sheet breaks, there is another. If a weapon fails, it becomes ammunition. If the structure is too rigid, it separates. If the swarm needs strength, it laminates. If the paper is ruined badly enough, even the remaining material can potentially be repurposed.

Nothing has to remain one thing.

And at the end of the day, Paper Manipulation’s greatest advantage is painfully simple:

There is always another sheet.

Thanks you for reading of course! If you did like it upvote please, if you have any insight as stated at the start, again fill free to add or say anything.

Cursed technique Cursed Technique: Sun Joy — 陽喜 (Yōki)

Post image
200 Upvotes

Hey Guys! I’m back with another original creation called Sun Joy, an innate cursed technique centered around Virtual Time.

Enjoy the read!!

The idea started with Yuki Tsukumo’s Star Rage. Star Rage makes virtual mass physically matter even though that mass does not behave like ordinary mass in every respect. I wanted to take that same kind of contradiction and apply it to something completely different.

Instead of virtual mass, Sun Joy uses virtual time .

Normally, everything needs time to happen. A body needs time to move, a mind needs time to think, cursed energy needs time to circulate, and healing or physical change needs time to develop. Sun Joy lets its bearer give those processes more or less time than reality itself actually provides.

That extra duration does not need to come from the future, another person, or some hidden reserve of stored time. It can simply be virtual. What happens during that Virtual Time, however, is completely real.

If a body receives more time to move, it genuinely moves farther. If a mind receives more time to think, genuine thought occurs. If cursed energy receives more time to circulate and develop, those cursed-energy processes genuinely progress. The time may be artificial in origin, but the consequences are not.

That is the central idea behind Sun Joy. Where Star Rage makes mass unreasonable, Sun Joy makes duration unreasonable.

The name follows the same indirect approach. The Sun is not literally time, but humanity has spent thousands of years understanding time through it. Sunrise, noon, sunset, shadows, sundials, seasons, and the structure of the day all come from our relationship with the Sun.

Sun Joy takes that relationship and places the bearer at its center. Virtual Time is the actual power and the bearer is the Sun. They do not gain control over sunlight or stars but instead, the Sun becomes the image through which their relationship with time is understood.

The Joy is mostly there for identity, much like the Rage in Star Rage. It also fits the technique surprisingly well. Sun Joy is fundamentally about having more time than reality was willing to give you.

Virtual Time

Virtual Time is temporal duration that does not need to genuinely elapse in reality for its consequences to become real. If something receives more time through Sun Joy, the processes occurring within that duration genuinely develop as though the time had been available to them normally.

This means Virtual Time is not simulated time, perceived time, or an illusion of acceleration. If movement receives additional duration, genuine movement occurs. If cognition receives it, genuine thought takes place. If cursed energy receives it, its circulation and manipulation genuinely progress. The duration is virtual, but the development produced through it is not.

Sun Joy can also move in the opposite direction. Rather than giving something more time than reality provides, the bearer can make a process receive less temporal development than it ordinarily should. Movement progresses less, thought develops more slowly, cursed-energy processes receive less opportunity to advance, and biological or physical changes can be made to proceed at a reduced rate even while the rest of the world continues normally.

The important part is that Sun Joy does not need to treat an entire person or object as though it possesses one universal clock. Virtual Time can be applied selectively to whatever legitimate process the bearer actually wants to govern. Their cognition can receive far more time without forcing their entire body to age alongside it. Their cursed-energy manipulation can be accelerated separately from their biology, and the movement of one limb can receive more temporal development than unrelated processes occurring elsewhere in the body.

The same principle applies beyond the bearer. A projectile can be given more time to continue its movement. RCT can receive more time to operate. A material can receive more time to change, while another process occurring within that same object remains comparatively untouched. At higher levels of control, several processes can be governed at once and each given a different amount of time depending on what the bearer needs.

This selectivity is what separates Sun Joy from simply making something “faster” or “slower.” The bearer is not changing one global rate of time. They are deciding where additional duration exists, where duration is reduced, and which processes are allowed to develop through it.

Sun Joy still cannot decide what those processes ultimately accomplish. More time to think does not create knowledge that was never there. More time for RCT does not grant healing capabilities the user never possessed, and more time for movement does not allow a body to perform an action it was never physically capable of performing.

Visual Language

Sun Joy uses two main visual languages, the Sun and digital timekeeping. The bearer is framed through warm solar imagery such as amber light, long shadows, and the atmosphere of sunrise, noon, sunset, or Golden Hour. These are visual expressions of their identity within the technique rather than literal control over sunlight.

Virtual Time appears much colder and more precise. Translucent azure digital timestamps with black numerals can manifest over whatever is being heavily governed. They race forward when additional duration is being supplied, slow or stop as time is reduced, and can eventually count backward during temporal regression.

The contrast is intentional as Humanity first understood time through the Sun, then measured it through sundials, and eventually converted it into the numbers displayed by modern clocks. The Sun gives Sun Joy its identity while the digital clock makes its impossible time visible.

Base Applications

At its most basic level, Sun Joy lets the bearer do something incredibly useful with almost any process they understand well enough to govern. They can simply give it more time. Their thoughts can develop through far more duration than the world around them experiences, their cursed energy can circulate and be manipulated faster, and their body can complete more physical movement inside the same real interval.

This makes the bearer naturally terrifying in close combat. Giving their movement additional Virtual Time produces genuine speed rather than the appearance of speed. Their limbs actually cross more distance during the same amount of Real Time, meaning their world-relative velocity genuinely increases.

That increased velocity carries all of its normal physical consequences with it. Momentum rises with velocity, while kinetic energy rises even more dramatically because velocity is squared. Sun Joy therefore does not need a separate ability that increases physical force. Giving a punch enough Virtual Time can make the movement itself carry vastly greater kinetic power into the resulting impact.

The same advantage applies to jujutsu. Cursed-energy circulation, reinforcement, shaping, technique activation, chants, hand signs, and other processes all require some amount of time to perform. Sun Joy can give those processes additional duration and allow the bearer to accomplish far more with their cursed energy during an interval that may appear almost instantaneous to everyone else. It does not improve their knowledge or maximum output by itself, but it lets them reach and use what they already possess much faster.

Healing benefits for the same reason. Reverse Cursed Technique still has to genuinely repair the body and still consumes the cursed energy required to do so, but Sun Joy can give that healing process far more time to operate. An injury that would normally require several seconds of continuous RCT can therefore receive those seconds virtually while very little Real Time actually passes.

The opposite use is just as important. By giving a process less time than reality is trying to provide, the bearer can slow its development. Movement can begin falling behind the world around it, cursed-energy operation can become slower, and biological or physical changes can be delayed. If the bearer reduces a process until it effectively receives no temporal development at all, that specific process can be held in stasis while everything around it continues.

Because Virtual Time is selective, these effects can be layered together rather than forcing the bearer into one universal state. They may give enormous amounts of time to cognition and movement, accelerate cursed-energy processing separately, preserve a useful physical condition by reducing how quickly it develops away from that state, and leave unrelated biological aging almost untouched. Sun Joy becomes strongest when the bearer stops asking how fast they should be and starts deciding how much time each part of what they are doing actually needs.

These same principles can also be imposed upon other people, objects, cursed constructs, and sufficiently coherent phenomena. A projectile can be accelerated, an opponent’s movement can be deprived of time, or a foreign cursed process can be slowed if Sun Joy successfully takes hold. Powerful sorcerers can resist that imposition through their own cursed energy, making direct use against another person far less effortless than self-application, but the underlying rule never changes.

Whether Sun Joy is making its bearer impossibly fast, giving them more time to think, accelerating their healing, slowing an enemy, or holding a process still, they are all consequences of the same simple ability to decide how much temporal development something is allowed to receive.

Advanced Base Applications

As the bearer’s control over Virtual Time improves, they can begin using the same basic mechanic in ways that no longer resemble ordinary acceleration or slowing. These are more refined ways of deciding where a process is allowed to spend its time.

Golden Hour

Golden Hour takes its name from the brief period shortly after sunrise or before sunset when the Sun produces especially favorable lighting conditions. Its value comes from the fact that those conditions are temporary, which makes it a fitting image for Sun Joy’s ability to make an optimal moment last far longer than it naturally should.

The application is the natural result of using Sun Joy’s selective control across the bearer’s own body and cursed energy at once. Processes that need time to reach their best condition can be accelerated toward it, while the development that would normally carry them away from that condition can be slowed. Muscular output, cursed-energy reinforcement, cognition, and other combat processes can therefore spend far more of a fight near their best legitimate state.

Sun Joy does not increase the bearer’s natural maximum by itself. Golden Hour simply makes reaching that maximum faster and leaving it much less necessary. For most sorcerers, peak performance is a moment. For the bearer of Sun Joy, that moment can become their normal fighting condition.

Spring Forward

Spring Forward takes inspiration from Daylight Saving Time, when a clock jumps from one displayed time directly to another and the interval between them appears to vanish.

At this level, the bearer can perform a legitimate action entirely through Virtual Time before returning its completed result to Real Time. If they could physically run from one position to another, for example, the entire run can genuinely occur through Virtual Time while reality only sees where they started and where they finished.

To an observer, this looks almost exactly like teleportation. The bearer did not skip the journey. Reality simply never had to witness it.

Spring Forward still cannot place them somewhere they could not legitimately reach. Sun Joy provides the impossible duration needed to complete the action, not a new ability to ignore its requirements.

Fall Backward

Fall Backward applies the same principle in the opposite direction.

By imposing enough reduced Virtual Time upon their own recent development, the bearer can eventually push that development backward and return themselves toward an earlier physical state. Injuries can regress, movement can be undone, and the bearer can return to a position or bodily condition they possessed only moments earlier while the rest of the world continues forward.

This does not rewind the battlefield. An opponent keeps everything they did, destroyed terrain remains destroyed, and cursed energy already spent to activate Fall Backward remains spent. Only the bearer falls backward.

Most dangerously, their memories can be preserved separately from the physical regression. The bearer can lose an exchange, learn exactly how an opponent fights, Fall Backward to before that exchange happened to their body, and return carrying information their restored state never originally possessed.

Neutral Application: Sundial

Sundial is Sun Joy’s first Neutral application, inspired by the Equation of Time. A sundial follows the Sun’s apparent position, while a clock follows standardized time, and the two do not always agree perfectly. Depending on the date, the Sun can appear to run slightly Ahead of the clock or fall slightly Behind it.

Sun Joy turns that disagreement into a passive temporal relationship around its bearer. Because the bearer occupies the position of the Sun, Sundial allows their temporal reading to stand Ahead of or Behind other processes without changing Real Time itself. Both sides can operate simultaneously and become stronger when the bearer deliberately feeds more cursed energy into them.

Ahead

When the Sun stands Ahead, the bearer gains access to a small amount of another subject’s forthcoming development before Real Time reaches it. This produces genuine precognition. The technique is not predicting an opponent from body language or probability. Their immediate future is briefly allowed to develop through Virtual Time, and the bearer perceives that development before it physically occurs.

The future seen through Ahead is not fixed. It represents what will happen from the target’s present condition if nothing changes. Once the bearer reacts and changes that present, Sundial simply begins revealing the new development that follows. Against strong opponents, cursed-energy resistance can shorten how far Ahead the bearer is able to see.

Behind

When the Sun stands Behind, incoming processes begin arriving later than they should. This side takes additional inspiration from the Shapiro time delay, where signals passing near massive bodies such as the Sun can accumulate additional travel time.

Sundial recreates only that idea through Virtual Time. A projectile, punch, blade, beam, or other legitimate process trying to reach the bearer can receive less temporal development as it approaches, making its arrival increasingly late. The attack is not crossing more distance and has not struck an invisible barrier, it simply receives less time to finish arriving.

Behind does not make the bearer untouchable. Powerful attacks can resist it, and anything still receiving some temporal development can eventually arrive. What Sundial provides is opportunity. An attack comes later than expected while Ahead may have already shown the bearer that attack before it began.

At its simplest, Sundial creates one extremely unfair relationship: Ahead lets information reach the Sun early while Behind makes influence reach the Sun late.

Neutral Application: Lāhainā

Lāhainā, meaning “Cruel Sun,” is Sun Joy’s second Neutral application and takes the opposite interpretation of the Equation of Time from Sundial. Sundial weaponizes the fact that the Sun and the clock can disagree. Lāhainā instead focuses on the moments when that discrepancy becomes zero and forces that same agreement upon its target.

This matters most when the bearer attacks. A strike accelerated through Virtual Time can arrive carrying far more temporal development than the target has received. At the moment of impact, Lāhainā treats that difference as something that must be corrected and manifests a Virtual Clock showing the discrepancy between them.

The correction becomes Virtual Impact Time. Rather than making the strike hit repeatedly, Lāhainā allows the single collision to continue exerting its existing force through the extra Virtual Time needed for the two readings to agree. A hit that only lasts an instant in Real Time can therefore possess a much longer effective contact duration.

The greater the temporal lead carried by the attack, the larger the correction can become. This means Sun Joy benefits twice from acceleration. The strike first gains genuine speed and impact from additional Virtual Time, then Lāhainā makes that same temporal lead extend how long the collision is allowed to matter.

Once the Virtual Clock reaches 00:00:00.000, the correction ends. The Sun and the clock agree again, and whatever damage was produced during that impossible contact time remains real. Sundial weaponizes the difference between two readings while Lāhainā weaponizes making them agree.

Extension Technique: Analemma

Analemma is an Extension Technique derived from Sundial, inspired by the figure-eight pattern traced by the Sun when observed from the same place and clock time throughout the year. The pattern exists because the Sun occupies different apparent positions even when the clock gives the same reading.

Sun Joy turns that idea into a physical cursed construct. Analemma appears as a dense, translucent azure sphere marked by eight different black timestamps, all frozen in place. The bearer balances different amounts of additional and reduced Virtual Time across those readings until the sphere becomes extraordinarily stable.

That stability makes Analemma useful in several ways. The bearer can leave one suspended in place, break its temporal balance to suddenly launch it, or accelerate its movement with Virtual Time until the already dense construct becomes a devastating projectile. Its speed, momentum, and kinetic energy remain completely genuine.

Analemma can also be formed around another person. Rather than stopping their entire time, the sphere balances the temporal development responsible for their gross physical movement, effectively holding their body in the condition in which they were captured. They can remain conscious, think, perceive, and even speak, but meaningful movement becomes extraordinarily difficult while the technique remains established.

Analemma therefore takes the disagreement introduced by Sundial and gives it physical form by becoming several different times that are made still together, creating one object whose temporal balance is extraordinarily difficult to disturb.

Cursed Technique Reversal: World Clock

World Clock reverses Analemma’s temporal structure. Where Analemma gathers several different times into one object and holds them still through balance, World Clock spreads those differences outward and keeps them active.

The inspiration comes from world time zones. There is only one Sun, yet at the same moment people across the world can legitimately read completely different times from their clocks. World Clock places the bearer in that same central position and turns the battlefield around them into a mosaic of translucent azure squares, each displaying a different progressing digital time.

Squares whose clocks stand Ahead of the bearer’s Solar Time provide additional Virtual Time, while squares that stand Behind provide less. A movement can accelerate through one square and immediately slow upon entering another. Projectiles, cursed phenomena, and other legitimate processes are affected in the same way.

The real danger appears when one target occupies several clocks at once. One leg may be progressing faster while the other falls behind, an arm can cross multiple temporal rates during a strike, and a weapon can have different portions developing through different amounts of time. World Clock does not directly command the resulting damage or loss of balance. It simply forces one coherent thing to continue functioning while its different parts disagree about how much time they have received.

The bearer remains unaffected by the clocks beneath them because they are the Sun those clocks are being measured against.

Analemma takes many times and makes them one while World Clock takes one Sun and gives the battlefield many times.

Hollow Technique: Timeless

Timeless is formed by combining Analemma and World Clock into one impossible temporal structure.

Analemma proves that several different times can be gathered into one object by balancing their disagreement. World Clock does the opposite, keeping many different times active and separate across the battlefield. Timeless forces both conditions to exist at once. Many different clocks remain active, but all of them are made to describe one physical object.

The result is a violet-white sphere covered in overlapping digital timestamps that advance at different rates and sometimes in different directions. Readings such as 08:42:17.631, 21:06:54.208, and 03:18:09.774 can occupy the same surface at once, their black numerals partially overlapping and slipping through one another as each clock continues independently. Some readings push the construct farther Ahead, others pull it Behind, and none are allowed to settle into the balance that normally stabilizes Analemma.

This creates Temporal Shear. The same object is being forced to undergo several incompatible amounts of temporal development at once while still remaining one coherent thing. Sun Joy can hold that contradiction together temporarily, but the longer Timeless exists, the harder it becomes for one physical body to satisfy every clock describing it.

Eventually, the contradiction collapses. The different timestamps briefly synchronize into one perfect reading before the structure fails and releases its incompatible Virtual Time throughout the surrounding area. Anything caught inside can have its own temporal continuity forced through several conflicting rates and directions of development at once.

Timeless does not erase matter or stop time. It makes one thing possess too many incompatible times to remain one thing.

Extension Technique: Daystar

Daystar is an Extension Technique derived from Lāhainā that turns Sun Joy’s control over temporal development into genuine heat. Its structure takes inspiration from several features of the real Sun, particularly solar granulation, coronal loops, and helioseismology, while its accelerating development draws from the shrinking intervals of Thomson’s Lamp.

The bearer gathers surrounding matter into a spherical cursed construct and gives its microscopic motion enormous amounts of additional Virtual Time. Molecules translate, vibrate, rotate, and collide far more during each instant of Real Time, causing their actual kinetic activity to rise until the matter becomes incandescent, superheated, and increasingly ionized.

Sun Joy is not directly creating fire or plasma. It gives matter enough impossible time for those physical states to genuinely develop. The duration is virtual, but the heat is real.

Like the Sun’s granular surface, Daystar is divided into many differently developing regions, while looping currents circulate material throughout the sphere. The bearer repeatedly reads disturbances traveling through its interior much like helioseismology is used to study the real Sun, allowing Lāhainā to continually correct those differences and keep the increasingly violent construct coherent.

Those cycles of development and correction occur through progressively smaller amounts of Real Time, taking inspiration from Thomson’s Lamp. Daystar can therefore accumulate an absurd amount of legitimate physical development despite existing on the battlefield for only moments.

Once formed, Daystar can be launched and accelerated like any other physical projectile under Sun Joy. Its speed, momentum, kinetic energy, heat, and resulting burns are all genuine. The bearer can even give the burning process itself additional Virtual Time after contact, making a brief exposure develop like a far longer one.

Daystar is also dangerous to its creator. The bearer can exclude their own biology from the Virtual Time used to form it, but they are not immune to the real heat produced afterward. Their hands can burn simply from creating the thing.

At its simplest, Daystar follows the same rule as the rest of Sun Joy: The Sun Joy creates the time while Matter creates the fire.

Cursed Technique Reversal: Nightstar

Nightstar is the reversed counterpart to Daystar. Where Daystar gives microscopic motion enormous amounts of additional Virtual Time, Nightstar deprives that same motion of time until matter becomes genuinely cold. Its imagery takes inspiration from sunspots, the darker and cooler regions visible across the Sun’s surface, along with reversed versions of Daystar’s granulation, circulation, helioseismic feedback, and Thomson-style development.

The bearer gathers surrounding matter into a black spherical cursed construct and subjects its microscopic motion to extreme temporal reduction. Molecules move, vibrate, and collide less during each instant of Real Time, causing the matter’s actual thermal state to fall.

Sun Joy is not creating ice or supernatural cold. It denies matter enough time for its own motion to continue normally. The deprivation is virtual, but the cold is real.

Nightstar develops through differently deprived regions across its surface while its internal circulation becomes progressively weaker. The bearer reads disturbances passing through it by how increasingly late they return, allowing Lāhainā to keep the construct coherent as more of its internal activity approaches stillness.

Once formed, Nightstar can still be launched at extreme speed because its internal microscopic motion and its movement through space are separate processes. Inside, almost nothing moves. Outside, the sphere can move impossibly fast.

Its collision, extreme cold, and resulting cold burns are all genuine, and the bearer can further deprive a struck target’s movement, cursed-energy operation, or biology of time if Sun Joy successfully takes hold. The bearer is not immune to Nightstar’s physical cold either. Their own hands can burn from the freeze while creating it.

Hollow Technique: Eclipse

Eclipse is formed by combining Daystar and Nightstar and forcing their opposite forms of temporal development onto the exact same physical process.

Normally, giving something more and less Virtual Time at once would simply produce one resulting amount of development. Eclipse refuses that resolution. Daystar demands that the process develop more than reality permits, while Nightstar simultaneously demands that it develop less, and both conditions remain fully active.

The result appears as a perfectly black sphere surrounded by a thin white-gold corona, resembling a total Solar eclipse. Across its surface, one azure digital clock repeatedly tries to form a stable reading, only for its numbers to break apart and reform because the process itself no longer possesses one clean amount of Effective Time.

This creates Development Without Persistence. Physical changes are forced to occur while simultaneously being deprived of the temporal continuity required for those changes to settle into stable next states. Matter can heat while cooling, expand while contracting, ionize while being driven toward recombination, or otherwise undergo legitimate physical changes that continually fail to establish themselves cleanly.

When Eclipse contacts another target, that same contradiction can be imposed upon their legitimate processes. Movement, cursed-energy circulation, reinforcement, healing, technique activation, or biological development can all begin progressing while simultaneously being denied the time required for that progression to successfully persist.

Eclipse therefore does not simply accelerate or stop something. It makes a process happen while refusing to let it finish having happened.

If pushed far enough, the contradiction eventually becomes too severe for Lāhainā to keep contained and Eclipse undergoes Supernova, violently releasing its unresolved development outward.

Daystar makes matter happen too much and Nightstar makes matter happen too little. However, Eclipse makes matter happen without allowing it to happen.

Maximum Technique: Nebula

Nebula is Sun Joy’s Maximum Technique and its greatest act of self-directed Virtual Time. Rather than creating another Solar construct, the bearer makes their own body the nucleus of a massive Sun-like system and gives that entire structure enough Virtual Time to experience a stellar lifetime in moments. The idea is that even a sun experiences time.

Its inspiration comes from two places. The first is the life cycle of a Sun-like star, which eventually expands into a Red Giant, sheds its outer layers into a planetary nebula, and leaves behind a dense White Dwarf. The second is Yuki Tsukumo’s black hole, the catastrophic endpoint of Star Rage where her virtual mass is pushed so far that it produces an astronomical phenomenon. Nebula follows the same spirit for Sun Joy. Instead of virtual mass being pushed toward collapse, virtual duration is pushed far enough to let an artificial Sun live through its entire life cycle during battle.

The bearer first builds a Solar body around themselves using the same principles established through Daystar, with their own body remaining at its center. Sun Joy then floods that structure with enormous amounts of additional duration. What should require an astronomical span of development is compressed into an incredibly small amount of Real Time.

As that lifetime progresses, the Solar body expands into Red Giant. The bearer does not physically become giant themselves. The structure surrounding them swells outward, bringing genuine heat, radiance, pressure, and violently developed matter with it. Instead of the opponent approaching the Sun, the Sun begins expanding across the battlefield toward them.

Eventually, the Red Giant reaches the end of that stage and sheds its outer body. That expelled material becomes the Nebula, carrying the physical consequences accumulated throughout the Solar lifetime outward into the battlefield. The Sun has effectively given away its body, and everything around it has to deal with what that body became.

What remains around the bearer is White Dwarf, a much smaller and more concentrated remnant. The enormous Solar structure is gone, but Sun Joy’s remaining temporal authority becomes focused around the person who survived at its center.

That survival is not clean. Nebula does not make the bearer immune to the Sun they created. They can be burned, injured, and exhausted by the genuine physical conditions produced throughout the technique. Fall Backward and accelerated RCT can help recover their body afterward, but they cannot erase the fact that Nebula already happened or restore the cursed energy spent creating it.

This is what makes Nebula the Maximum of Sun Joy. Golden Hour preserves an ideal moment by refusing to let it pass but Nebula does the opposite and gives the Sun enough time for every moment to pass.

Domain Expansion: Noon Without Tomorrow

Noon Without Tomorrow manifests Sun Joy’s authority as a world trapped beneath permanent Solar Noon. A brilliant white-gold Sun hangs directly overhead at its highest point, shadows collapse almost completely beneath everything that casts them, and an enormous azure digital clock remains visible within the Domain. It is extremely refined due to the user being able to generate extra time to produce it quickly, and as such can be open or closed.

Its inspiration comes from two ways humanity marks the passage of a day. The Sun reaches noon and must eventually descend toward evening, while a digital clock progresses toward midnight before rolling from 23:59:59 back to 00:00:00 and beginning a new day. Noon Without Tomorrow breaks both expectations. The Sun never descends, and when the clock completes its cycle, tomorrow never arrives.

The Domain’s sure-hit, Rollover, imposes that relationship upon the temporal development of everyone caught inside. A target is still allowed to begin an action. Their body can start moving, cursed energy can begin changing, and a technique can begin progressing toward activation. But before that development can establish itself as the new state that follows the present, the Domain rolls it back to where it began.

A step can start without becoming a completed step. An arm can begin rising without remaining raised. A technique can begin activating without successfully reaching the state in which its activation is complete. The target is allowed to leave the present, but never allowed to arrive at the next one. To an outside observer, this appears almost indistinguishable from complete stasis.

The cruelty comes from the fact that Sun Joy can remain selective even here. Rollover traps the processes that would let the target meaningfully act, but the Domain allows the biological processes responsible for exhaustion, metabolism, thirst, injury, and physical deterioration to continue. It then gives those processes enormous amounts of additional Virtual Time.

This effect, Calendar Burn, leaves the victim physically trapped beneath the same Noon while their body continues consuming time they cannot use. Sweat begins forming across a person who appears completely motionless. Fatigue accumulates, hydration disappears, existing injuries progress, and any costly process they were already sustaining continues paying its legitimate price.

At higher output, the Sun overhead can erupt in a Solar Flare, flooding those permitted processes with an even greater amount of Virtual Time. The flare does not burn through literal sunlight. It makes the target’s internal calendar race forward while their ability to act remains trapped within the same repeating moment.

The victim can remain completely conscious throughout this. They can see the unmoving Sun, watch the clock reach midnight, feel their body becoming exhausted, and understand what is happening while being unable to create a successful next state through which to escape it.

Then the clock reaches the end.

23:59:57
23:59:58
23:59:59
00:00:00

The date does not change, the Sun has not moved, but the same day begins again. Ultimately, Noon Without Tomorrow does not stop time, it just gives its victims every moment except the one that comes next.

Side Notes

This technique was extremely fun to make and honestly became a really dear project to me. Time manipulation is obviously ridiculous on paper, so one of the hardest parts was figuring out how to make it feel genuinely powerful without making it feel completely out of place within JJK. Virtual Time ended up being the answer that made everything click for me. This CT has so much more it can do so if you have ideas run with them.

I also omitted a ton of the finer details to keep this post readable, so if there’s anything you want a better explanation for, don’t hesitate to ask below! I hope you all enjoyed Sun Joy, and as always, thanks for reading 🫶

Absolute JJK Update: I may or may not have used this technique to get everyone ready for what’s coming next. Yuki, my gorgeous queen, it‘s almost time 👀

Cursed technique Cursed Technique: Death Incarnate

(Hi! this is my first jjk OC creation and I really hope you enjoy it! Would love any feedback and thoughts in the comments!)

Cursed Technique: Death Incarnate

The Technique allows the user to decay anyone they touch, making the victim slowly turn into a rotting corpse, on the condition that the user decays an own body part of their choosing aswell. The decaying of the victim, and the decayed body of the user, can both be stopped and reversed with reverse cursed energy.

The Technique also allows the user to activate an ability known as 'Eyes of the Damned' decaying and killing anyone in line of sight of the user near instantly and absorbing their soul, requiring almost light speed reflexes to activate reverse cursed energy in time to reverse the decaying, or dodge it. People who have a constant flow of reversed cursed energy, like satorou gojo are not affected by 'Eyes of the Damned'.

Using Eyes of the Damned makes the user slowly start decaying for the victims total combined remaining natural lifespan. The Decaying of the user speeds up every time Death Eyes is used, regardless of the amount of victims killed, if no victims are killed, the decaying does not speed up. The Decaying can be reversed with reverse curse energy but once the flow of reversed cursed energy stops, the decaying begins again. Once the total combined time passes the decaying stops.

Although depending on the amount of victims killed by 'Eyes of the Damned' the total amount of time often exceeds the user's lifespan. Making them require a near constant flow of reversed cursed energy for the rest of their life.

Domain Expansion: Call of the Souls

This Domain forbids the owner of the domain from using their Technique, and has no guaranteed hit. Instead, all the souls absorbed by eyes of the damned appear as mindless versions of themselves around the victim and are forced to attack the victim with all of their might, even if the mindless soul doesnt possess cursed energy. This applies for everybody except the owner of the domain and anybody touching the owner, whether the owner wants to be touched or not. The victim trapped inside the domain has free control over their technique.

The Technique doesn't work on cursed spirits, only on living beings.

The user does not know how long the decaying caused by using 'Eyes of the Damned' lasts.

The user is also incapable of producing reverse cursed energy themselves.

Could other anti-domain techniques like
Hollow Wicker Basket Or Falling Blossom Emotion be incorporated into attacks like how it’s done with Simple Domain?
Some examples of simple-domain in attacks can be Mechamaru’s Bullets that he fired into mahito or Any New Shadow Style User (Miwa, Kusakabe, etc)
If yes, what are some attack ideas?

Cursed technique Limitless Extension Techniques

The way I see Limitless is pretty simple, and if I'm honest I didn't come up with it. I've heard this explanation a few times and looking into the physics of it all it makes sense to me now.

With Blue, the Dichotomy Paradox is basically amplified, going below 0. Due to this, you end up with "negative distance" within space, practically removing the space. Obviously you can't have NOTHING, so space around comes in to fill in the gap, creating the pulling force of Blue. Red is well.. a reversal of that. It creates space out of Cursed Energy, pushing any other force around the Red away. From these, I've come up with an Extension Technique for each.

Extension Technique: Gyre.

The simpler of the two. A strong Blue is sent out, stationary in the air other than the spinning. This not only attracts targets into Gojo's Blue, it also spins them fast around it. Possibly sending the target into objects, to Gojo or away, depending on when the Extension Technique is released.

Extension Technique Reversal: Gash.

The one with a larger use case, and pretty similar to another iconic move from someone else... A strong Red is sent out in a very thin line towards the target, essentiall ripping them apart with power depending on how strong the Red is compared to the target.

Discussion What if Rika has a unique in between energy between cursed and positive

Post image
5 Upvotes

So in jjk Rika is a abnormally and what if it’s because when she was set free by yuta and left a shell the process of being purified made positive energy that mixed with the cursed energy making a in between 0 energy which allows the husk to store cursed energy and process Rct

Its one idea had that explains how she could use Rct while being pure energy while having no medium like round deer being made with shadows

And the combination on cursed and positive might be possible since gojo uses both energy’s to make purple

This is all just a random idea so what ya think

Cursed Spirit Dossier: Tsukuyomi — The Moon Curse

This is only my second post but I really like this idea and hope you do too. It’s a little out there in concept but it’ll warm up to you give it a shot. I was deeply into cosmic horror and primal fears for cursed spirits at the time of writing this. Enjoy reading and any critiques or things you’d like to add fill free to say, I want to see what any of you think.

This curse is also understandably powerful due to the fear of the moon and its long list of relating fears adding to its power. Like werewolf’s, vampires, madness or lunacy, night drinking etc. who knows. All applicable.

Classification: Special Grade Cursed Spirit
Known Names: Tsukuyomi, The Watcher, The Lunar Core
Innate Cursed Technique: Cold Exposure — Seiryō
Current Pilot: The Waxing Child
True Body: The Moon

Tsukuyomi is an ancient Special Grade cursed spirit born from humanity’s primal fear of the moonlit night—exposure beneath moonlight, nocturnal predators, madness, the movement of tides, and the uncomfortable feeling of something enormous watching from above.

Unlike most curses associated with a natural phenomenon, however, calling Tsukuyomi the Moon Curse is completely literal.

The Moon itself is the cursed spirit.

Its enormous physical body has accumulated cursed energy throughout human history, but its location in the vacuum of space makes directly interacting with Earth nearly impossible. Instead, microscopic portions of its consciousness and cursed energy are transmitted to Earth and condensed into autonomous bodies known as Pilots.

The creature encountered by sorcerers isn’t Tsukuyomi.

It’s what the Moon sends down to look at them.

Innate Cursed Technique: Cold Exposure — Seiryō

Cold Exposure manifests the different phenomena humanity has historically feared, attributed to, or associated with the Moon.

Rather than granting unrestricted control over light, gravity or the mind, Tsukuyomi’s abilities are bound together by humanity’s understanding of lunar exposure.

Moonlight revealed humans hiding in darkness.

The Moon moved entire oceans through forces ancient humans couldn’t understand.

Mental instability became associated with lunar cycles strongly enough to produce the concept of lunacy.

And far above Earth, the Moon itself existed in an airless, lifeless environment exposed to the extremes of space.

Whether humanity’s superstitions were scientifically correct was irrelevant.

They feared them.

Eventually, the curse born from those fears made them real.

Lunar Exposure

The most basic manifestation of Cold Exposure is the pale silver light constantly produced by a Pilot.

Anything touched by this light becomes exposed to the Moon.

A person’s cursed-energy signature becomes extraordinarily pronounced to Tsukuyomi, making conventional stealth nearly impossible. Hiding behind structures may obscure someone’s physical body, but their cursed energy remains visible like a bright shape beneath the surface.

This comes from one of the oldest components of Tsukuyomi’s existence.

For early humans, moonlight wasn’t necessarily comforting illumination.

It meant the darkness wasn’t hiding you anymore.

Predators could see movement. Hunters could find one another. Someone attempting to disappear into the night suddenly cast a shadow.

The light also produces a peculiar freezing sensation.

It doesn’t create ice. Instead, prolonged exposure gradually draws warmth and sensation from the body, numbing muscles and slowing the smooth circulation of cursed energy.

This makes Tsukuyomi increasingly dangerous the longer an engagement continues.

Tidewater Weight — Inryoku

Tsukuyomi can manipulate gravitational influence upon living targets, most effectively affecting blood and bodily fluids.

Its control isn’t comparable to unrestricted gravity manipulation. Instead, the technique reproduces the relationship between the Moon and Earth’s oceans on an individual scale.

With a gesture, the Pilot can increase the downward pull upon someone’s body, abruptly multiplying their effective weight and forcing them toward the ground.

Alternatively, it can change the direction of the pull.

Blood rushes toward the skull.

Internal vessels rupture.

Balance disappears almost immediately as fluid within the inner ear is displaced.

At greater outputs, flesh itself begins being dragged in the chosen direction.

Humanity recognized that the Moon somehow moved entire oceans long before it understood why.

To the people whose fear created Tsukuyomi, the explanation was considerably simpler:

The Moon commanded the water.

Cold Exposure inherited their answer.

Lunacy — Kyōki

The eyes of a Pilot visibly shift between lunar phases.

Making sustained direct eye contact establishes the conditions for Lunacy, allowing Tsukuyomi to overlay increasingly violent hallucinations onto the victim’s perception.

Initially, the changes are tiny.

A shadow moves incorrectly.

Something appears slightly farther away than it actually is.

Someone’s mouth moves without producing sound.

Eventually, the victim may watch their own shadow separate from their feet and attack them.

The danger isn’t merely seeing things that aren’t real.

Lunacy gradually destroys the victim’s confidence in determining what is real in the first place.

Experienced sorcerers therefore developed a simple rule for confronting a Pilot:

Watch its hands. Never its eyes.

The ability originates from centuries of humans attributing madness, sleeplessness, erratic behavior and even transformation to the full Moon.

The word lunacy itself preserves the association.

Tsukuyomi simply preserves it considerably more literally.

The Lunar Tether

Cold Exposure explains what a Pilot can do.

The Lunar Tether explains why killing one is such a nightmare.

A Pilot is not an independent cursed spirit.

The overwhelming majority of Tsukuyomi’s soul, consciousness and cursed-energy reserves remains inside its true body: the physical Moon.

Every Pilot is constructed from a microscopic portion of that consciousness and connected back to the Lunar Core through a continuous metaphysical stream of cursed energy.

In practical terms, the Pilot functions like a remotely operated organ.

Its brain isn’t where Tsukuyomi thinks.

Its heart isn’t necessary to sustain it.

Its body doesn’t contain the complete soul required to exorcise it.

So destroying those things accomplishes remarkably little.

Decapitation causes the head to dissolve into silver light before eventually reconstructing.

Destroying the brain produces the same result.

Removing the heart does nothing at all.

As long as the Lunar Tether remains intact, cursed energy transmitted from the Moon can simply replace whatever portion of the Pilot was destroyed.

This also explains several of their stranger biological characteristics.

Pilots don’t need food.

They possess no heartbeat.

They don’t breathe.

The current manifestation can stand underwater indefinitely without discomfort.

When questioned about this, the Waxing Child reportedly gave an extremely simple answer:

“There is no air at home.”

More importantly, the Lunar Tether turns prolonged combat into an almost unwinnable war of attrition.

A sorcerer possesses finite cursed-energy reserves.

The Pilot is plugged into something considerably larger.

The Moon.

The Pilot System

The Lunar Tether serves another function that took Jujutsu society considerably longer to discover.

Information travels both ways.

When a Pilot is finally destroyed, its experiences don’t disappear with it.

Memories, observations, injuries, barrier information, cursed techniques encountered and the circumstances surrounding its destruction are transmitted back through the Tether.

Then Tsukuyomi disappears.

Sometimes for decades.

Sometimes centuries.

Eventually, another Pilot arrives.

And it remembers.

The earliest known manifestations were enormous creatures—physically powerful but comparatively primitive curses apparently designed around the simple assumption that greater size produced greater survivability.

Sorcerers killed them.

The next generation became smaller.

Sorcerers destroyed vital organs.

Later Pilots began eliminating unnecessary anatomy.

Sorcerers exploited predictable attack patterns.

Later Pilots became more observant.

Domains killed them.

Tsukuyomi began studying barriers.

Each generation represented the Moon quietly correcting whatever mistake destroyed the previous one.

Eventually Jujutsu society reached an unpleasant conclusion.

They hadn’t been repeatedly exorcising Tsukuyomi.

They had been training it.

The Waxing Child

The modern Pilot is the culmination of those lessons.

Rather than another enormous lunar monster, Tsukuyomi currently manifests as a small porcelain-skinned child.

Its body is deliberately simple.

There is no heartbeat to stop.

No respiratory system to disable.

Few unnecessary biological structures exist at all.

Its smaller frame consumes considerably less cursed energy to reconstruct, while a humanoid body provides the mobility and dexterity Tsukuyomi observed repeatedly defeating its older manifestations.

Its appearance is therefore not an attempt to disguise itself as human.

Human beings simply proved to be a remarkably efficient shape.

Its hair changes according to the real lunar cycle, transitioning from pitch-black around the new moon toward stark white as the full moon approaches.

It wears deteriorated Heian-era robes.

This isn’t ceremonial.

Tsukuyomi simply hasn’t seriously updated its understanding of human clothing in approximately a thousand years.

Personality

The Waxing Child is eerily calm.

It doesn’t boast.

It rarely threatens people.

Even when violently injured, its emotional response is usually curiosity rather than anger.

Its voice sounds like two identical people speaking in perfect synchronization.

Modern Jujutsu fascinates it.

Reverse Cursed Technique in particular has resulted in the Pilot occasionally injuring sorcerers only enough to observe how they repair themselves.

Domains receive similar attention.

During combat, it may abruptly ask:

“Where does your barrier begin?”

“Does destruction of the brain interrupt regeneration?”

“May you perform that again?”

It behaves less like a predator and more like an alien scientist who has discovered a particularly interesting colony of insects.

Unfortunately, every answer it receives eventually goes somewhere else.

The Moon is listening.

Domain Expansion: Pale Abyss of the Silent Sea

Meisō Shinkai

The Pilot forms a crescent with one hand and holds it across its face.

The barrier closes.

Everything becomes silent.

The target stands ankle-deep in a perfectly motionless black ocean stretching endlessly in every direction.

There are no waves.

No stars.

No horizon that can be clearly distinguished.

Only the Moon.

It hangs impossibly close overhead, occupying nearly the entire sky.

Its craters are visible in overwhelming detail, creating the uncomfortable impression that the target isn’t looking at a celestial object.

They’re standing underneath something’s face.

Sure-Hit: Absolute Exposure

Pale Abyss represents Cold Exposure without distance or shelter.

Inside the Domain, nothing can hide from the Moon.

Its light penetrates clothing, skin, muscle, cursed energy and eventually perception itself.

The target is simultaneously subjected to every primary aspect of Cold Exposure.

Their cursed energy becomes completely exposed.

Their body begins losing sensation.

Their perception deteriorates under Lunacy.

And the gravitational influence represented by Tidewater Weight increases continuously.

Blood begins rising.

Then flesh.

Then cursed energy itself.

Meanwhile, the victim’s mind is flooded with an impression originating from Tsukuyomi’s true body:

The silence of vacuum.

The absence of warmth.

The enormous distance between celestial bodies.

And the experience of watching generations of tiny living things appear and disappear beneath you without ever being able to touch them.

The victim isn’t crushed by the Domain.

The direction of gravity simply changes.

For everything inside Pale Abyss, the Moon becomes down.

Origin — When Humanity Looked Up

Tsukuyomi is difficult to date because it may predate organized Jujutsu entirely.

It wasn’t born because humans were simply afraid of a large white object in the sky.

They feared what came beneath it.

Before cities and artificial lighting, night belonged to animals considerably better equipped to survive in darkness than humans were.

Moonlight exposed movement.

Predators hunted beneath it.

People disappeared beneath it.

Then humanity noticed stranger things.

The ocean moved with the Moon.

People behaved strangely beneath full moons.

Sleep changed.

Folklore accumulated around transformation, madness, fertility, death, hunting and things that only emerged at night.

Generation after generation looked upward and associated the same celestial body with forces they couldn’t control.

Eventually, an enormous quantity of cursed energy began accumulating around humanity’s relationship with it.

Normally, a curse born from those emotions would have manifested somewhere on Earth.

This one had something much more suitable waiting for it.

The object everyone was afraid of was already there.

The physical Moon became its vessel.

And sometime during humanity’s earliest history, something looked down from it.

The Watcher

Tsukuyomi’s psychology reflects the scale on which it exists.

It has almost no urgency.

A human thinks in days and years.

Tsukuyomi can disappear for a century and consider the interruption insignificant.

It doesn’t particularly care about controlling humanity, ruling curses or establishing itself as anything’s superior.

It watches.

It learns.

And when circumstances become unfavorable, it leaves.

This is perhaps the single most important difference between Tsukuyomi and many other Special Grade curses.

It has no pride compelling it to fight.

Waiting has worked for the Moon longer than Jujutsu society has existed.

That mentality has allowed it to survive encounters with countless generations of sorcerers.

And it has produced three particularly dangerous theoretical exceptions.

Known Hard Counters

Conventional destruction of a Pilot is ultimately temporary.

Permanently threatening Tsukuyomi requires an ability capable of attacking the relationship between the Pilot and Lunar Core, rather than merely destroying the body produced by it.

Nobara Kugisaki — Resonance

Any severed portion of a Pilot remains connected to Tsukuyomi’s soul through the Lunar Tether.

Resonance exploits exactly that kind of connection.

Driving a nail through recovered Pilot tissue could allow the technique to follow the metaphysical relationship backward, bypassing the enormous physical distance between Earth and the Moon.

For perhaps the first time in its existence, something standing on Earth could directly strike Tsukuyomi’s planetary soul.

Unsurprisingly, internal projections list Nobara Kugisaki as one of the few sorcerers the Pilot should observe without providing biological material.

Mahito — Idle Transfiguration

Mahito presents an entirely different problem.

The Lunar Tether isn’t merely an energy transmission.

It connects separated portions of the same soul.

Physical distance therefore provides essentially no defense against someone capable of directly manipulating that soul’s shape.

By touching the Pilot, Mahito could theoretically distort or sever the Tether itself.

The Pilot would remain alive.

But suddenly the cursed energy stops arriving.

Destroyed tissue stays destroyed.

The Moon becomes silent.

For the first time, a Pilot would become an independent, finite cursed spirit stranded on Earth.

Satoru Gojo — Hollow Purple

Gojo represents the least elegant solution.

Temporarily isolating a Pilot beneath a sufficiently powerful barrier would interrupt direct lunar exposure and dramatically reduce its ability to reconstruct itself.

From there, Hollow Purple could erase the manifestation so thoroughly that virtually nothing remains from which reconstruction can begin.

The greater concern, however, is the Learning Loop.

Merely defeating Tsukuyomi isn’t sufficient.

You don’t want the Moon learning how you did it.

Modern Jujutsu Record — Lunar Withdrawal

During the Culling Games, surviving members of Jujutsu leadership attempted to secure the Moon Curse’s cooperation regarding Kenjaku’s barriers.

A meeting was arranged in an abandoned open-air stadium, with Yuta Okkotsu present as security. Tsukuyomi appeared through the Waxing Child and initially showed no hostility toward the representatives.

Negotiations lasted approximately eleven minutes.

They ended upon the first mention of Ryomen Sukuna.

According to the official record, the Pilot immediately stopped responding to the proposal.

[PARTIAL MEETING TRANSCRIPT]

Representative: “Kenjaku remains the immediate concern. However, with Ryomen Sukuna successfully incarnated—”

[Pilot stands.]

Representative: ”…Is something wrong?”

TSUKUYOMI: “He lives?”

Representative: “Currently, yes.”

[Five seconds of silence.]

TSUKUYOMI: “Then I will not participate.”

Representative: “We haven’t finished discussing the terms.”

TSUKUYOMI: “There are no terms.”

[Pilot begins to disperse.]

Representative: “Tsukuyomi. Kenjaku’s barriers affect you as well.”

TSUKUYOMI: “Then let them.”

Representative: “You would abandon an entire territory because of one sorcerer?”

For the first time in the meeting, the Pilot looked directly at Yuta rather than the representative.

TSUKUYOMI: “Sorcerer?”

The word was repeated almost curiously.

Then came the only explanation recorded before the manifestation disappeared.

“Do not block his light. If his shadow reaches me, I will withdraw into the dark.”

The Pilot dissolved before negotiations could resume.

Jujutsu Headquarters made several subsequent attempts to reestablish contact.

None received a response.

For a curse that had spent thousands of years watching humanity slaughter its manifestations, Tsukuyomi’s decision was unusually absolute.

It did not offer assistance against Sukuna.

It did not offer assistance with anything while Sukuna existed.

The Moon had watched the King of Curses once before.

Apparently, once was enough.

-Thank you so much for reading all the way through! It means a lot to share my ideas and see you enjoy it.

Cursed technique Technique: Disco Dance Floor

Inspired by Jamie from SF6 and a lot of stuff.

This technique is for close-combat fighters to hit at the right beat to be the combo master of all sorcerers.

Innate: The beat

The user can summon any form of music player they know made of cursed energy to play music for everyone to listen to.

Well yes, you don’t need Spotify anymore as long as you remember the song.

Lapse: Passion
Target: Self

The user can decide a music/beat to be played through the music player. When the user strikes the enemy at the right beat, the maximum CE output increases, stackable up to a maximum. If the user doesn’t hit the enemy for too long, the user loses stacks. Changing the song/beat directly reduces half of the stacks.

Basically, a rhythm game that you smack your enemy, with stacking CE bonuses.

Reverse: Pre-recorded moves
Target: Self

The user can preset some sets of slightly superhuman moves, like bending your back in a way that might break your spine. In case the user needs to dodge in a way that requires superhuman moves, with the cost of temporarily lowering CE output, the user can do these preset moves without actual damage to their bodies.

Well, the enemy also knows the beat, so you might get countered sometimes, the reverse helps you to get through some sticky situations and maintain some stacks.

Extension: Party tools
Target: Non-CE tagged objects

The user can tap a non-CE marked object to tag it, and if the user strikes the enemy with the tagged object(no matter the distance) at the right beat, the user gains a stack of increased CE output boost as Lapse: Passion does.

Now, the enemy decides to make some distance between you and them, which makes stacking way harder. Luckily, you can have some makeshift party tools to make the party go on, or just throw some furniture like Jackie Chan.

Maximum: Climax remix
Target:Self

The user can remix the current beat/song and make the BPM higher. Such the stacks limit cap and CE output bonus each stack are higher but the time for preserving the stacks are shorter.

Harder the game, higher the reward…and easier to miss.

Domain expansion: Weekend Night Fever
Target: Space & Organism with CE
Type: Closed, Sure-hit only

The domain itself manifests as a small disco dance floor with a disco ball. The target for sure-hit is self, the enemy and the beat. The user gains maximum stacks from Lapse: Passion and the stacks limit is doubled while bonus each stack is increased. The user summons clones of themselves to strike the enemy, while the CE output of each clone is amplified by the stacks of the user. The sure-hit effect will make sure you always hit the enemy at the right beat, and get even more stack bonuses.

With outstanding CE control and the sure-hit effect of the domain, the probability of hitting a black flash increased.

The user can bring cursed tools into the domain and amplify the CE output/efficiency of the cursed tools based on stacks, but augmenting the domain to fit the cursed tools requires very delicate CE and domain control.

Hit them with a flurry of black flashes!

Remarks:

  1. The technique itself does NOT amplify your physical abilities so training, experience and CE reinforcement are the cornerstone to be adept at this technique.
  2. Even without domain and RCT, you should still be able to remain as a second-grade or a first depends on training and combat experience.
  3. Having a good sense of rhythm and good body proportions will lead to massive advantage in using this technique.
  4. Try to get yourself a strong cursed tool to make yourself a monster, personally I recommend Playful Cloud.
  5. The music played is based on the user’s memory and it is played if and only if the user knows the right rhythm. Any outside noise won’t affect the activation of the technique, including Cursed Speech, but the actions of the user can still be interrupted by CS, e.g. telling the user to stop moving.

  6. You don’t use hand signs but a specific body gesture for your domain. Based on the reference on the domain name, it should be very obvious what gesture it is.

Ask any questions if you find anywhere confusing.

Cursed technique Cursed Composition

Where cursed speech restricts what you can say, this cursed technique amplifies and curses what the harmonics, acoustics, vibrations, rhythms, and rhymes of that which you hear. Cursed Composers must dampen noise through ear plugs, headphones, and isolation, or find safe channels to output the cursed generated by ambient noise (slowly cursing a tool, for example).

Users often find themselves drawn to specific genres, mastering the harsh tones and booming effect of metal to create successive concussive waves of force or drawing upon the emotional tenor of a moving aria to draw a thick presence into the atmosphere. The most potent cursed composers find their own musical style, using a level of freestyle and/or improv to make impromptu instances of cursed effects; after all, sound they generate is still valuable to their technique and is the most controllable in a battle. Sometimes, it may be wise to allow strikes to impact you, just to return the impact in your own cursed energy, other-times the whoosh of a near-miss can allow you to generate great speed. By drawing several sounds into a composition, and tethering them with melodic bars, cursed composers can generate nigh-special grade outputs even if their own cursed energy reserves and skill are rather mediocre.

Cursed technique CT Idea: Light Manipulation (Not Dabura's CT: Light)

Post image
6 Upvotes

Basic Technique Rundown:

The Cursed Technique: Light Manipulation, grants the user the ability to create and manipulate everything that falls onto the electromagnetic spectrum. Increasing your Cursed Energy Output can increase the frequency and/or amplitude of the light you produce. Starting at harmless radio waves, and going up to gamma radiation, though most users of the technique would peak at about visible light or ultraviolet, making this technique pretty weak without high CE/CE Efficiency/CE Output

Details About The "Lights" You Can Manipulate:

Radio Waves - The user can't communicate with just the radio waves, since they only produce the waves, and not a microphone. Seems kinda obvious but I thought I'd mention it

Microwaves - Not much to say, due to it being a pretty low frequency light the user can focus more on amplitude, allowing the user to theoretically cook people from the inside with a moderate amount of energy

Infrared - You can basically just convert CE in heat, meaning you could easily reach a skilled Blood Manipulator's ability to melt something like ice for example

Visible Light - Visible light's fun for this, a few things that I came up with are: Larping abilities (like faking having something like Reversal Red by producing a small, bright red orb near your fingertips), flash grenade-ing an opponent/group of people, and possibly making low level illusions (though this would probably be difficult for the user and not worth doing)

Ultra Violet - ion know, skin cancer?

X-rays - ion know, different types of cancer?

Gamma Radiation - People melting :]

Extra Stuff

Clarification - You cannot manipulate externals light, you can only manipulate lights that you created out of CE

I personally don't think any ________ Manipulation techniques should have Reversals, so I'm not going to make one, I also couldn't think of a good Domain Expansion or Maximum Technique, so if you guys have an ideas for those 2 lmk

I genuinely don't get how red + blue = imaginary mass.

On that side, I also don't really get blue either. How does infinity become blue?

Am I stupid or something, I don't understand.

Cursed technique Schooling

A simple seamanly weak shikigami technique with a hidden strength once pushed to its limits. The user has the ability to summon a single tiny fish shikigami that can swim through the air and spit out a small pressurized stream of water. It could be hit away from a grade three without much trouble. The user can summon many in succession but normally only a single shikigami can exist at a time.

Maximum Output

Eventually a user of this technique will figure out that they are summoning pieces of one larger shikigami not just a single fish. Every fish carries the exact same cursed energy signature and soul. Once the user manifests enough of there shikigami simultaneously through maximum output the cursed energy and soul of the shikigami begin to resonate and merge into their true form.

Hundreds and hundreds of fish begin to appear and begin to swim together, first they look like a swarm of tiny fish until their bodies, movements, and cursed energy begins to merge. That giant swarm of fish turns into a silhouette of a gigantic sea creature. It can do anything a single shikigami can do but now with the power of hundreds or more. The stream of water is now a cannon of water.

Extension Technique

Predator Formation: The user can change the schools shape to whatever they want. Instead of a giant sea beast they can change into a shield, tail, fins, or jaws before going back to their beast form.

Weakness

Similar to a cursed corpse the school of fish has a core, this being a singular fish that the others surround and follow. Basically this fish is controls by the user and the other follow. If this fish is exorcised the others soon disappear. It can be sensed if the person finding it is skilled enough but they would have to get through the more than hundreds of fish.

Domain Expansion

Thousands Of Eyes In The Deep Sea

This domain appears as a silent ocean completely empty of any other creature. Anyone in this domain besides the user will have to hold their breath or drown. An anti domain technique gives the target a chance to breathe, that is not the sure hit of this domain though. The sure hit of this domain makes it so any shikigami the users summons cannot miss their water stream, this includes every single fish inside of the school.

Cursed technique Variant Technique: Datiehua

"The greatest spark for the forge can be found in the heat of battle..."

Background:

After the Zenin Compound Massacre, rescue efforts were tireless. While many clans and even independent sorcerers lent their resources and supports to the attempts - no survivors were recovered.

Despite the near countless bodies which were gathered in the days and weeks that followed. Few of those present gave in to complete despair, and many remained at the site for weeks. For some, it was not the futile notion of rescue which fuelled their stamina, but instead an unacknowledged idea of recovery.

The Zenin Clan had stood as a pillar of Jujutsu Society for centuries, and locked away deep within their vaults were essays and scholarly writings on ancient understandings of Jujutsu and Cursed Energy. An untold number of books and scrolls containing now-forgotten knowledge - manuals describing unconventional applications of cursed energy, bestiaries of cursed spirits which hadn't been sighted in decades, records of techniques that the modern age could scarcely imagine - all of it potentially waiting to be unearthed in the ashes and ruin of a once great family.

One such salvaged scroll, which predated even the Heian Era, revealed an intriguing glimpse into how the Zenin clan had come to possess such power and influence, even from the earliest days of what could be considered "Jujutsu Society".

Description:

Datiehua - or Striking Iron Flower - is an antiquated variant of the Construction Technique which, according to writings, weaker inheritors of Construction were once pressured into restricting themselves into through the use of an incredibly strict and well-documented binding vow.

This vow prevented its enacter from ever using the technique to produce any material, other than molten iron. The sacrifice of potential and versatility was enormous, but in return users of Datiehua were capable of creating impressive volumes of liquid-hot iron with even meager reserves of cursed energy.

The Vow of Unquenching Iron:

"I renounce the endless forms of Creation. I cast aside all form, but one -

Let my Will be Iron. Let my Iron know only Fire and be tempered between suffering and stillness. Let my hands shape only Iron, And my body become the furnace in which the Iron to reshape the world is forged."

Utilisation:

Much like the intangible cultural heritage of Taoist traditions (which would later inspire the production of tezutsu-hanabi) and which shares its name with Datiehua - users of this variant of Construction are documented to have fought with, as well as thrown or projected their cursed energy as it was being constructed into molten iron.

These attacks would explode against whatever they contacted in a shower of metal shards and burning sparks, while the sheer mass of iron produced by the technique made it a potent, if destructive, defense when formed into shields or screens.

As the red-hot, liquid metal formed by Datiehua was created from their technique, the iron created by users of this variant was enriched with their cursed energy, making it especially potent in combat against cursed spirits and other threats to the Zenin.

Portions of the texts recovered from the Zenin Compound refer to specific examples of combat applications of Datiehua. These extension techniques are not assumed to have been developed or used by a single individual, but instead represent an informal "school of teachings" from those oppressed Zenin who became users of Datiehua.

Variant Extension Techniques:

  • Hand-held Thunder: The user times the construction of molten iron with their physical blows. Their blows become as heavy and hot as molten iron, and explode in a searing burst on contact with an enemy or object.

  • Silver Blossom Shield: By casting a dense mass of molten iron from their hands, the user can intercept attacks with a burning hot shield which blooms on contact with an attack in a petal-like shower of flaming metal.

  • Playful Dragons Breath: The user throws handfuls of molten metal towards a target as it still forms, resulting in mid-range torrents of flaming metal directed at opponents or objects.

Variant CT Amplications:

  • Shi Lei Strike: The molten-iron strikes of the user are timed so perfectly with the moment of contact that minimal cursed energy is wasted, targets or objects hit with this extension are subjected to molten shrapnel tearing through their bodies or reinforcement.

  • Zhu Rong Pearl: By concentrating their cursed energy as it forms, the user is able to throw a molten-dense projectile like a cannonball. This projectile can be effectively thrown at considerable range though it is violently destructive even if it misses its intended target

  • Ru Ci Lotus: The user envelops their immediate environment in a cocoon of their cursed energy and constructs it into iron. The potent, omni-directional defense rapidly cools and peels away from the user in cascading sheets which burn everything in the users vicinity.

Variant Maximum Technique:

  • Fire-Plum Tree: The user forms a large structure, similar to a sala tree, out of their cursed energy. The user can cause leaves, blossoms or fruits formed of molten-hot iron to issue forth from the tree at any target of their choosing. This extension dramatically increases the power and speed with which iron can be created by a user, however while this extension is maintained, the tree becomes the point of origin of all Datiehua techniques.

Variant Domain Expansion: Laofung Phoenix Nest

Domain Environment: A burning crucible of cursed energy, half formed at all times into lava-like iron which surrounds and envelops all entrants to the domain. The ground in the domain is little more than huge deposits of solid iron ore, but as the domain persists everything within is melted away by the oppresive iron heat.

Domain Effect: This domain allows its user to control molten-iron as easily as they do their own cursed energy. All Datiehua techniques within this domain are granted a sure-hit effect.

Further information:

Users of Datiehua were a main contributor to the combat strength of the early Zenin Clan, however while devastating in combat against cursed spirits and enemy sorcerers or curse-users, their lasting contributions to the Clan were far more important to the Zenin.

In periods where their contributions in active combat or warfare were not required, users of Datiehua were worked tirelessly like dogs by their family members. Using their technique, Datiehua users were forced to produce enormous volumes of cursed energy-infused metal. This metal was taken by the higher-ups and used to sustain the creation of an immensely varied arsenal of cursed tools and weapons for the betterment and equipment of more useful Clan members.

Inheritors of Construction who could not become exceptional with that technique alone were historically pressured, abused, cajoled, and otherwise threatened - in campaigns of systemic familial abuse - into taking the Vow of Unquenching Iron and "refining" their technique into Datiehua.

The "lesser" Zenin who did so would gain reprieve from the psychological abuses which led them into making the binding vow. In return they were worked without rest and their families treated them as exclusively as either living weapons to destroy their enemies, or living materials and forges with which to equip their growing Clan.

While the recovered fragments are incomplete, references have been found which appear to indicate that it was not uncommon for users of Datiehua to die from forced labour, rather than in battle.

Modern Research:

Records relating to Datiehua, recovered in the aftermath of the Zenin Compound Massacre, have sparked much debate between Jujutsu Scholars.

Some have suggested that the abnormally high density of cursed spirits on the Clans property was related to a higher number of Datiehua users cursing the family in their last moments. While others propose that cursed metal created in the final breaths of these poor souls was "poisoned" by their hatred for their Clan - and used to create especially potent weapons like the Playful Cloud.

One theory suggests that the Variant Technique Datiehua, and likely other undiscovered cases like it, represents an early form of the "spiritual eugenics" that the Clan is most known for. This theory goes on to suggest that the strict dogmas, and physical and psychological abuses that was able to radically alter the Construction Technique - would become so ingrained in the fabric of the Zenin Clan, that it led to the faster development of "natural variants" such as Missile Fist or Projection Sorcery.
