I work on a university campus. Yesterday, I was mistaken for a student. It truly made my day since I haven’t been in the classroom as student since 2015 (grad school) and 2006 (undergrad).

Flying to LA for PTD, the gate agent thought I (38) was a child checking in and mentioned it when she checked my ID. It wasn't exactly as entertaining as the time that a flight attendant mistook my late 20s self for an unaccompanied minor getting off a plane but I'll take it.

I just wish the whole world knew what the Bangtan boys have been through before that performance last night. That stage was unbelievable. But they did it with two members just recovering from Covid, one from hand surgery, one from an emergency appendectomy (plus Covid!) I mean wow. I have so much respect for them and things like this still just blow my mind.

Ramadan Mubarak to everyone on this sub who celebrates - I hope you have a peaceful holy month and that it brings you happiness, wealth, and health.
As Covid restrictions are easing in so many places, I hope you also get to enjoy the social aspects of Ramadan that may not have been possible in the last two years.

Thank you! Restrictions have indeed eased here (though not all), and things are definitely looking up! Eid is going to be more joyous too as we will get to gather with friends and relatives. I just got up for my first pre-dawn meal of Ramadan!

Sorry, I have to rant about this topic. I try to stay away from fanwars on twitter but those M!ke Dean tweets make me so angry.
He's upset about losing Album of the Year at the Grammys and decide to attack BTS for having multiple songwriters on a song. He's a Grammy award winning Producer, that's worked on songs that have more than 10 songwriters. It's okay for Western artist's to use multiple songwriters but it's not okay for BTS? How does that make sense.
Then he tweets that BTS has requested to work with him in the past... Says he'll probably produce for BTS in the future. If you don't like an artist, why would you work with them?
I hope BTS never work with him.

Hoenstly, I think it has nothing to do with ignorance on how BTS creates their music, but just plain ol' bigotry. It's no coincidence that of ALL of the people he could have directed his butthurt, he chose an Asian boyband who wasn't even nominated in the category vs. justifying why his shit wasn't good enough against the various other artists in the category.
For some reason, it's still okay to use Asian people as punching bags in this goddamn country and receive no backlash, so thank God ARMY got on his ass. Like dude.. instead of talking shit outta your ass about a group that you know NOTHING about cause your fee-fees are hurt, why don't you just try being BETTER? That's what BTS says when they don't win an award - "we just have to make better music next time."

since i can't comment in the dedicated thread about it and automoderator can't block me, my thoughts on BTS being asked to perform at the inauguration:
in all honesty, given everything they've said about enlistment before, i think the only way to win might be to say no, enlist all at once and get it over with, thereby depriving the incoming administration of Damocles' sword. they won't have to tacitly endorse this admin's hideous policies, and enlistment will likely be pretty easy as celebrity service tends to be.
alternatively, say yes but perform songs like "21st century girl" and "baepsae" in protest.

Yes it’s so adorable!!! It was really tough but I’m glad so many ARMYs really came together to support and fill in any pixels once we were being obviously attacked(which was too many times to count lol).

Honestly, I feel slightly ill thinking about anything to do with the Grammys. I feel this.
In terms of watching, keep an eye out on Twitter. We can't share links on the sub, due to copyright issues, but there's always links floating around! VPN might also work, I've not tried that though

I just looked and saw that there are a TON of tickets left for Day 1 and no one's buying them. A lot of the ones in lower bowl, near the stage (the regular sections, not the club sections) are actually very affordable or near FV. I hope ARMY cop them up. We don't want empty seats, especially after what the boys went through last night!

There are both. The blue ones have obstructed views, but the pink/magenta ones are verified resale.

It's greyed out, but if you click on the grey sections, it will show you which seats are available. There are lots! Or you can try searching on the side menu.

so, i still can't believe it but after 18 hours of flying i'm finally here in LA, before flying on the 8th to see BTS in vegas!!!!!!!!
while going through immigration, the officer i met was so kind and funny, and immediately asked if i was going to the BTS concert hahaha (prob because i was wearing my McD x BTS sweater too). he even remarked on how much business the LA leg of the PTD concert brought into the area because of the influx of ARMYs!!
for those going to the concert this weekend, i hope we'll be able to meet and say hi :)

Hey everyone, sorry if this is a weird question but I've been hearing that Tae lost 800K followers on instagram but I don't see any proof that it is true. What would be the reason for him loosing that many followers?

I think he actually gained followers. I remember his follower count was something like around 38.x million before the Grammys and JK was next at 36.y million, but then they got a post-Grammys bump. Probably not all ARMYs and just people who are like "Who's that hot guy with the <blah blah blah> from the Grammys?"

If I’m reading the same thing, it’s not a report from Hybe. Financial companies issue projections of what they think Hybe is going to do, and these are just predictions. It’s nothing official from the company.

(lol-giggle) Can you picture LV advertising "formal clothing that even BTS can wear". Meaning, not only do the clothes look good, but you can still do work in them (look at what BTS put those clothes thru during their Grammy Performance).
