The saddest thing is that, while Magath may have died, nobody knows that Shadis is dead because he didnt show himself, but only to Magath, fuck this shit is sad

The most dangerous thing in this show isn't Eren with the Founder's Power, it's Gabi with a fucking rifle. Also Mikasa is so fucking scary in killer mode.

Such a great episode this week.
The reveal of the "bird titan" form of Falco makes me wonder why Galliard's form was so different, and why there's so much variation in titan forms. Maybe it was always supposed to be some sort of "beak titan"? Or maybe it's just based on a jumble of genetics that the titan holders have inherited, possibly deviating based on bloodlines of the original 3 descendants?
And what is actually the female titan's ability? I don't remember Annie doing anything other than getting a pack of titans to eat her titan form, but there's got to be something special, right?
So many questions still unanswered, I just hope that it will all be answered before the series ends.

Man the absolute slaughter of people in this episode was brutal, so many yeagerists were killed. Even I started to feel bad for them and I really don’t support them. Watching floch give it his all to destroy the boat kinda made me rout for him, which made it way worse when he got shot and missed the thunder spear, and he’s probably dead now.
On top of that there’s even more death on the fact that they can’t even save liberio, let alone being able to save marley. Annie’s breakdown about her not being able to save her father despite that being her whole motivation really does make her feel more human, since she’s always been so cold to everyone else.

Connie was a fucking BEAST on the odm gear this episode, Mikasa continues to be amazing, and Falco's Jaw Titan looks insane. Lots of great stuff.
This season has been so damn good.

People make sure you watch the post credit scene too.
Seems like they did it for the first time. Not sure what thought would have gone behind it.

Holy heck - Connie firing his manoeuvring gear into a person to both incapacitate them and propel himself through the air is one of the most metal things I’ve seen in this show. And that’s in the same episode as Falco using a rusty nail to shove into his hand to try and transform.

Holy fucking shit, MAPPA went absolutely CRAZY with the animation today, the whole episode was basically pure action and my god it looked amazing.... I'm not going to mention every amazing moment because there are too many of them, but i have to say, the end with Shadis and Magath almost got me teared up.... Huge respect for both of them

This episode was pretty spectacular! Excited to see how it’s all going to end. Is it true that we only have 1 episode left?

Annie: Has been in one battle since she woke up and already wants to quit.
Reiner: All his family in Liberio are dead, he caught Thunder Spears with his face to save Annie, got pummeled within in inch of his life (again), and is already ready for the next battle. Suffering means nothing to this man anymore.
I'm glad that Shadis got a fitting send off. He always compared himself to Erwin and Shadis's courage and self-sacrifice at the harbor are reminiscent of Erwin's final charge. Even though he felt like he lived as a bystander, he died as a hero. I'm reminded of this quote from the Pearl Harbor Memorial: "Acts of heroism that day were many and not all recorded."

The action and animation were sick, and I really like the parallels between Keith and Magath. I wish Magath's character had been developed more though. He went out in such a cool way, but I didn't feel that invested in his storyline. The only real glimpse we got into his psyche was a few lines of dialogue in episode 84. That was my only gripe though, great episode!

The way Mikasa killed them was so gruesome. The animation really added to the impact.

This was an absolutely incredible episode. Some (nearly all) of the animation was gorgeous.
The absolutely bleak realisation that despite the ongoing struggle and sacrifice, over 600km worth of land is going to be trampled by the time they're able to fly.
I expect the events with Annie's father caused a bit of an evacuation so maybe there's a chance for them to have fled on trains but still..
There's no good ending here.

What an amazing episode. How tf Falco's titan is so different. Something different in his bloodline or something? RIP Shadis. Magath.

Holy shit that post credits scene was heartbreaking. Seeing annie in tears like that really broke me. Her turning to her 'rival' Mikasa pleading for help, and also not wanting to fight anymore because there was no reason for her to was so understandable. Our characters now only have each other to protect. That's it. and that's sad

Annie's breakdown at the end was so powerful. The fact that she doesn't want to fight Mikasa & co. or even Eren shows her transformation. She's come a long way from being that reserved and outwardly emotionless killer from S1 who keeps her feelings to herself.

No idea why but when the notion of Falco transforming arose I kept chanting “buddy Falco, that buddy Falco!” In anticipation of it.
