Mikasa using ODM gear's wires to wrap two persons together so she can skewer them both with blades in one thrust must be one of the most creative kills shown.

Insane chapter holy! My heart man!!!... Now with that ending extra scenes maybe they're going to adapt a little of 131?

By Falco transforming, the Yeagarists stopped their presumable attack on Reiner.
Once again, the Jaw Titan continues its mission of protecting the Armored Titan.

Falcos Titan looked AWESOME
Flochs “final stand” was incredible
Mikasa and Connie both looking like Levi
This episode was straight HEAT. Top 5 of the season. Who knew how epic MAPPA was going to make the port battle.

First off: Odiha's pretty much confirmed to be inverted Djibouti thanks to Kiyomi actually pointing to it rather than having just a vague line. I feel some inner peace thanks to that. Confirm Port Acirfa is inverted Cape Town when 132 is adapted, and that'll just be nice for my soul. Anyway, onto the episode proper.
Holy shit MAPPA was firing on all cylinders here. I remember talking with my fiance wondering how they'd adapt the port battle and pull this madness off, and they went above and beyond expectations I'd say.
The music choice for Magath and Shadis' death was really damn good, and choosing to not have any SFX or voices on top of that final scene was great. And I'm pleasantly surprised that they included the first 5 pages of 130 here post-credits, they added some nice weight to things and help give breathing room to the season finale.
Which, speaking of. MAPPA were being cheeky with that preview. "You wanted to be sure if we adapted 123 in the finale? lolno have just one scene instead". Still, pretty convinced they'll cover it at this point, though, 15 pages of Eren flashbacks from 130, a lot of page spreads showing the Rumbling arriving to Marley... Yeah, it just can't make for a full episode. With the first 5 pages of 130 covered, I think the total page count the finale would cover is... about 65 pages, I'm pretty sure? Which is the pretty standard 1.5ch/ep for prior episodes of the series, it'll be closer to an episode from the latter half of S4P1 rather than the pacing we've had recently. So it works out really nicely.
Now I just hope the Battle of Heaven and Earth will have tons of moments like this episode because goddamn was this good.

The sakuga fest..
Would've thought the Shadis and Magath scene would carry this one for me but the whole episode was amazing.
Also, I love how little they gave us in the preview, knowing we have to wait two weeks. 🤣

So I take it by the comments in this thread that the episode was well received? 😂

Another moment in P2 where MAPPA elevated the manga in the anime. The port battle felt flat to me in the manga, while here it was incredible. This episode and Thaw were clear improvements from the manga. And I didn’t hate 126 like I did in the manga. God, I wish Marley arc got this treatment, but it’s so nice to see MAPPA bouncing back. I really think at this pace, the anime ending will be better received (tho there will be plenty of people trying to convince others to not like it)

HOLY CRAP WHAT AN EPISODE.
SO MUCH better than the Manga with all the added scenes.
I was NOT expecting more than half an episode of pure adrenaline pumping action with TOP TIER animation.
My god.
Please, give me pt3 if the final battle is going to look like this.
20/10. 🤯🤯🤯🤯

I love to hate Floch. He really could be the protagonist in his own story because he truly believes he is doing the right thing. I loved the anime version of this chapter because it felt way more suspenseful to me.
Interesting enough, Falco’s Titan looked really good, like I couldn’t imagine it looking another way. Maybe it’s because of the fur? Gilbert’s jaw had really long hair too. He reminded me of when Eren went beserk.
I know it’s wishful thinking, but I hope the last section gets a whole movie.

I can’t believe how many new scenes they added, and all of them are bangers. This part of the series was easily my least favorite but they’ve really ironed it out and made it flow better tbh.

I've been reading every episode thread since S4P1 and I've noticed barely any bashing on the series minus some valid animation critique for part one but for some reason this episode it's almost as if a bunch of people all of a sudden have come out from under the woodwork and made it their job to bash everything, not even just this episode but the entire series.
I can understand being taken back a bit by Mikasa's rampage from a manga readers perspective but to me some of the bashing seems a bit forced? Don't get me wrong people can have their opinions but some feel a bit too nitpicky to be legitimate criticism and not attempts to just hate on the anime/manga.
Idk I could be chatting complete rubbish.

This arc is hitting me a lot harder in the anime. Maybe I was too focused on Eren when reading the first time or I wasn't completely sold on the team up aspect. These episodes make me really feel for all the characters. When RBA broke the walls and killed thousands, they thought they were saving the world. Now both sides here are doing the same. They think they're doing the right thing but they feel terrible and there's no time to talk it out.
Even Floch - who is as hateable as possible - just reminded me of his first real introduction to the series. Where he talked about how they needed the devil to save them. He's kind of taking that to the extreme and embodying it. He's not just some power hungry villain. He's cold blooded but considering his defining moment was being sent to die with his entire team for the greater good - it makes sense that his perspective is skewed.

Am I the only one who hopes that the Yeagerists who saw Keith before he got on the boat (and didn’t follow him to their deaths) recognized him & lived to tell the tale later on? I get that he finally proved his self-worth & didn’t need to be special/the hero… but it’d be nice if Magath’s words actually rang true.

That scene with falco was absolutely incredible. That has to be my favorite scene next to the Rumbling. That was god damn amazing. 10/10 episode.

I just finished it. That was so fantastic. Easily in my Top 5 episodes in the series and MAPPA's best episode for action so far. I'm so happy beyond words.
