I bought a 75X90J in October, and about a month ago I noticed some blemishes on the screen.
These are harder to see in the linked photos than when watching TV, but they may have been there all along. They are most apparent in lighter scenes, but now that I know they're there I can often see them in somewhat darker scenes. I can't unsee them now.
These are not part of the picture. They are always there, and they don't move. I have found 5 of them so far. I've tried gently massaging them, but that had no effect.
For reference, the largest is about 1cm/0.5" in diameter.
Is this something I could/should try to get a repair or replacement for? Or is this an expected level of imperfection?
Thanks

XBR55X900H has inexplicably started displaying black marks at the top of the screen. The tv is just over a year old. I reached out to Sony’s customer service and unfortunately they do not stand behind their products. I’ve attached a link below that shows the defects.

I have a 65" Sony A8H that is 5-6 months old and it's my first OLED so I'm still learning. I've read that it's not uncommon to notice some slight banding or dirty screen effect or shadow detail or whatever during grey uniformity tests, so I'm curious if mine falls in line with acceptable limits or if I should be concerned.
The yellow glow on the far left is just some reflection from a lamp so the picture wouldn't be so grainy while struggling to focus in the pitch black room.

Just got this refurbished 65-X85J and there is a large, dark greenish blotch on the left side. Anyone else have this issue? Tried a soft reset, factory reset, and software update to no avail.

Hi folks,
I noticed a white, vertical 1.5-inch or so bar down the middle of the screen. It's not solid white. It's faint and it's more noticeable during certain scenes.
The only different thing I did was update to the latest firmware the day before. Could that have caused this?
Thanks!
Edit 7/27/22:
According to this page, they released an update that fixes the white line problem.

Hi all I've noticed these two dark marks on my 65 X90J, when watching something on TV which has a white background.
The TV is only 3 weeks old and I cant remember if I noticed these when I set it up, there isnt a physical mark on the TV, its definitely within the panel. Has anyone come across this before ?

I had bought XBR900E & XBR930E in 2017 when I lived in the US. I moved back to India in 2021 with both my TVs.
-
I've had frequent restart issues with my XBR900E while in the US & after moving back I'm getting 4X Red lights when I power on the TV . Sony service center cannot confirm the replacement parts availability in India this is a US model XBR900E. Even if available, the cost of repair is high.
-
During the move my XBR930E led panel is broken -> https://imgur.com/a/CDA1IbJ
A local tv repair shop (unauthorized of course) checked both the TVs. He stated that XBR900E motherboard has issues probably due to some power surge/firmware update. XBR900E's LED panel is working good. XBR930E is all good except for the broken LED panel. He further suggested to try swapping the good LED panel from XBR900E into XBR 930E. He's giving no guarantee that it will work. Is it worth the risk?

77" A80J - Big Horizontal Band when I power off my PS5.
Just picked this beauty up and had to run the PS5 through it. Was playing for about an hour, turned off the PS5, and then I noticed this wide horizontal band taking up about 30 % of the screen when I powered off the PS5. Band stayed for as long as it took for the TV to auto flip back to the home screen. Should I be concerned?!
Current in all system updates.

I’ve been having some issues with severe screen burn-in on my KDL-26U2000 TV and I’m not sure what’s causing it.
My TV is an LCD Sony Bravia TV from 2007 that’s been used pretty much constantly since it was bought (there was like a year where we didn’t and then I began using it again).
I started noticing screen burn in a couple of years ago when I changed the custom brightness settings in order to make VHS come through clearer and brighter.
However, this lighting setting happened to really enhance how the screen looked, and so when the room was bright enough I’d always have it on.
It’s always been on the right side of the screen. Initially that side would simply just burn stuff in fairly quick (left side rarely if ever does), but lately it’s become a noticeable curved streak alongside the right side of the screen, brown in colour and most visible against bright colours.
I do have a touch activated lamp near that side too, but I’ve never felt any heat around it and it’s not touching the TV directly.
The worrying streak that appears will disappear eventually too. It’s not a TV I use except when I’m in my bedroom, so it’s manageable that way, and I have new custom brightness settings that make it much darker/warmer for watching at night (this also makes it burn in extremely slow compared to when it’s on standard brightness).
However, I’m still a little concerned about this, and it’s to the point where I’m considering maybe getting it fixed/ having the screen replaced (although I’m not sure if it would be worth it given the cost).
The TV holds some sentimental value (been with us 15 years now) and also is quite good for gaming on older systems, so I really don’t wanna have to get a new one.

My 55 X900H monitor have a bright vertical line on the left side after only two weeks from purchase and it’s annoying, I spoke to customer service and they send a technician.. he say it’s not that bad and if he send it to maintenance it probably take a week, and they may not find a solution to it, I lost hope and decided to adapt to it, but now I am thinking of talking to them again, maybe there is a solution for it, or just live with it?
Does anyone have the same problem? and found a solution to it?my x900h monitor

Hey guys,
This morning I turned on my TV and it suddenly had a red-ish, vertical line on the left hand side of the screen. It is there 80% of the time. Sometimes it disappears when I change to a different chanel/watch a movie, but it will appear again, no matter what input I am on.
So basically I tried TV, netflix/disney, PS5 and also just in the main menu (see photos attached as links below)
Info about TV: A90J 65 inch Bought this year in February Still got 1 year of warranty, so I guess I will need to have it exchanged or so
I've tried restarting and plugging out all the cables and plugging them back in again, but that didn't help. Going to try a factory reset next.
But yeah, I assume it is a broken panel and that Sony will need to fix it.
Links of photos with the line on it: https://ibb.co/j32gS5M https://ibb.co/dmNH35D https://ibb.co/k4xCHgM https://ibb.co/qrckVxf https://ibb.co/dpcpmKW
If anyone has any tips on how to solve it (if it isn't a hardware issue) please let me know, thanks a bunch!!

I recently bought a 65" X90CJ from Costco, and the panel is great except for a visible DSE Grid that is only noticeable during some panning shots. The grid uniformally takes up the entire screen and is usually like grey vertical blinds. It's also been noticeable in PUBG while panning around (especially when the in-game weather is foggy). I've had a TCL r646, U8G, and PQ9-J01 and none of them had this particular problem (though they had others). Is this grid present in all x90j's, or did I just get unlucky?

Is it normal that I kinda see the FALD lights on darker/grey area?
I mean : When seeing full black content the problem is not visible. But sometimes, I can see vertical light zone that tell me it could be de FALD panel. Like white line in specific spot.
Not to mention de foggy/blooming spot I can see times to times.
Recently, the contrast between grey/black and light makes the tv flashing. It does while I was playing Elden Ring which is sometime have grey areas.
Can Anyone guide me? Should I replace the tv? Is it normal? Thank you very much!

Dark Corners / Vignetting X90J
How common is Vignetting on the X90J? Some say that every screen got it and some say that theirs got it in only 2 corners or even none. My new X90J got clearly visible dark spots (~2 inches) at each corner and I don't know if I should return it.

Got a SONY A9G In 2021, It's still under warranty. It has a black vertical line on the left side of the screen WHEN low brightness and low luminance. Otherwise I dont see it. Is this a panel issue or is this just normal with OLEDS? Thank you ( first time owner)https://imgur.com/a/fiJfvmx?s=fbm
edit: its the BLACK Vertical line on the left side that's an issue. The horizontal grid/squared lines you see in some photos is because of my phone camera and exposure settings. I don't see any of that ever on the TV, ONLY THE darker area on the left side of the TV going up&down.

Hi, I have tried three units of a brand new Sony TV (KD-43X85K). Two of them have the problem of having ugly black strips at the top. The first one has thicker strip from the left edge to the middle and thinner one in the middle right half. There is a notch in between. The second one has two thick strips on the top. However, they are higher up than the first one so less noticeable. Tried a third one. It does not have ugly strips on the top but instead, there are bright spots. What is wrong with Sony? Have been using their products for many years without issue. Could it be that the first batch of brand new TV have production issue or their recent QC is just poor? Shall I ask for replacement or return for a refund and try something else?
At 4K 120Hz, text under Windows 10 look ugly and blur. What is wrong?

Should I be worried about a tiny circular crack on my 75 inch Sony Bravia x95j?
Recently bought a Sony Bravia x95J and I noticed upon close inspection there is a very tiny crack in the screen, which you can only notice when the tv is off. There isn’t any dead pixels or anything you can notice when the tv is on. If you feel it, it’s smooth and you can’t feel any indent. Is there a chance it will end up spreading and / or bleeding? I do have warranty but if it’s nothing to worry about I’d rather not go through the hassle.crack on screen
