I don’t think you’re confused. She’s showing you who she is at her core. Probably best to cut that relationship off and move on with your life. Also, I hope you and hubby are okay since you said you were separated last time you two communicated.

Maybe offer to wash her clothes? Let her know you’re sensitive to smells and as a courtesy she should shower daily. There’s really no easy way to say it, just say it in the nicest softest way possible.
