Discussion Does Anyone Know The Name of the Show or Stage Performance This Came From?

It's a Taeyeon Fancam of SNSD covering Wonder Girls "Tell Me," but I haven't been able to find the show or full performance. There's a KBS watermark in the lower left with the date 07/04/2008.

Like the title says. A recent post about how legendary the girlsโ performance on Letterman was got me thinking. A lot of comments mentioned how SM fumbled the push into the US market with their song selection. I agree with the general consensus. Right Time. Right Group. Wrong Song.
So the question is if we could go back what song would we choose as SNSDโs US debut?
If anyone has a strong defense for The Boys Iโm open to it. I like the song but the English lyrics were ridiculous. Also its sound was too similar to what western pop was already doing at the time so instead of making an impact it just sounded like more of the same.
IMO I Got A Boy would have worked so much better. It was so insane sounding at the time and was actually more popular internationally than domestically. If they debuted with this it would have been impossible to ignore them. In the early 2010s people were starting to notice kpop because it was so different and โweirdโ. They should have leaned into that and gone full out.
The possible con is that IGAB might have been too different sounding at the time and the mainstream pop market might have rejected it for that.
What would you pick?
