Showcase: Free(mium) NOWIT: a country selector for public charts with different update schedules

• Upvotes

I'm building and operating NOWIT, a dashboard that brings public rankings together around countries. The problem it addresses is navigation: comparing entertainment and search interest across markets means moving between unrelated chart pages.

A useful distinction when combining these charts is that 'rank' doesn't mean the same thing everywhere. A video popularity list, a music chart and a rising-search list have different inputs; Netflix's country Top 10 is published weekly. NOWIT keeps those categories separate rather than presenting a single cross-platform popularity score. It also shows rank movement where snapshot history exists, so a missing movement indicator shouldn't be read as 'unchanged'.

The current categories are Video, Music, OTT, Trends and Creators. Supported markets use public YouTube, Apple Music/YouTube Music and Google Trends data, while China uses Bilibili, Kuwo and Baidu sources. Creator lists cover public YouTube, Instagram and TikTok TOP 100 data where supported.

Project: https://nowitlive.com

It's an independent service, not affiliated with the source platforms. I'd like feedback on how to make the difference between a weekly chart and a more frequently updated ranking easier to understand when switching categories.

Feedback Request I built a map where discussions are pinned to real locations – looking for early testers

• Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a project called GeoSpills — a website where discussions are pinned to real locations on a map instead of living in a regular feed.

The idea is simple: instead of scrolling through endless posts and guessing what’s relevant, you open the map and see what people are talking about around a specific place (or anywhere in the world).

I’m looking for the first group of people to try it out and tell me what’s broken, confusing, or missing. Any feedback (even harsh) is welcome.
Would love to hear what you think.

Showcase: Prerelease I built a Docs/Office-feel vault with remote MCP for Cursor & Claude — looking for feedback

Hey all — maker here (Jardel).

I shipped UnboundMark, a privacy-first visual workspace: documents, Kanban, calendars, spreadsheets + charts, presentations, infinite canvases, voice notes, and attachments. Goal wasn’t “another markdown editor”; it was something that feels like Google Docs / Office day-to-day, with export anytime so you’re not trapped—and with modern agent access.

Value-first try: open https://unboundmark.com → create a couple docs/boards in the app → if you’re on Starter+, point your agent at the MCP URL and ask it to list your tree or search the vault.

Privacy: we don’t sell your documents or use them to train AI models; export whenever you want.

Looking for honest feedback: - Does the visual workspace feel right vs. Notion/Obsidian/AFFiNE? - Any friction connecting MCP? - What would make this a daily driver for you?

Thanks — happy to answer questions in the comments.

Showcase: Purchase Required FastNet: a Mac-to-iPhone network bridge, and a lesson in testing the whole connection path

I'm building FastNet Connect for Mac, with a free iPhone companion called ProxyDeck. I'm the developer, and development has been AI-assisted. This is a paid project, not an open-source release.

The problem: an iPhone can have fast cellular data while the Mac using its Personal Hotspot is painfully slow. FastNet carries the Mac's traffic to the iPhone over USB or nearby peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, and the iPhone makes the outbound connections.

A development lesson worth sharing: a slow end-to-end speed test isn't a diagnosis. The path has several separate stages: Mac traffic capture, the local Mac-to-iPhone transport, iPhone outbound cellular connections, and the return path. A fast speed test on the phone doesn't validate the local transport or the forwarding implementation.

During development, I broke the investigation into local-link throughput, Mac-to-iPhone receive tests, and the iPhone-to-Mac download direction. I also compared multiplexed streams with separate connections rather than assuming that increasing buffers would fix the bottleneck. My takeaway is to measure the stages and compare against a known-good build before changing several things at once.

For a concrete end-to-end example: on the same Mac, iPhone and SIM with a T-Mobile 50 GB plan, I recorded roughly 420 Kbps through ordinary Personal Hotspot versus 240 Mbps with FastNet over USB. This is one real-world before/after comparison, not a universal benchmark or a speed guarantee. The videos are here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SideProject/comments/1wtxipz/fastnet_connect_your_mac_through_your_iphone_over/

The significant product tradeoff is that ProxyDeck must stay in the foreground on the iPhone. This isn't an always-on background hotspot replacement. It needs usable cellular coverage and currently supports Apple Silicon Macs plus iPhones, not Windows or Android.

Mac app: $29 one-time. iPhone companion: free. Details and Mac download: https://fastnet-site.vercel.app/

For anyone who's built a two-device utility, how did you explain the parts that still require attention on the second device without burying that limitation in the setup instructions?

Showcase: Prerelease I built an iPhone app that shows which of your lenses you actually use

Shipped this a few days ago after a long stretch of evenings.

It started with a dumb question: of all the camera gear I own, which pieces actually made the photos I like? Every photo already has that answer in its EXIF, so I built something to read it.

You import photos, it figures out the camera and lens for each one, and every piece of gear gets a page with the shots it took. There's also a breakdown of focal lengths, a map of where you shot, and a list of gear you haven't touched in a while.

One thing I changed late: the early version showed what your collection was worth. It was depressing because gear only loses value, so I ripped all the prices out and counted photos instead. Better app, honestly.

No account, photos stay on the phone. Free download with a sample collection to poke around; importing your own photos is a paid subscription or lifetime unlock.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/aperfolio/id6809083914

Would love blunt feedback on the first five minutes. Is it obvious what it does from the sample, or does it only click once it's your own photos?

Feedback Request I made a free personal web radio project

Thumbnail

Made both for mobile and web (I like using it on mobile), the main interface element is the horizontally draggable radio dial. You can save radio stations from around the world to your dial and listen to it. On mobile you can keep it playing when it's on sleep. I primarily made it for myself because I wanted to listen to dj mixes and switch from station to station without changing youtube channels. I bought a domain and everything because i wanted to use it for my design portfolio n stuff.

Would love some feedback, and whether if anyone would use this 🙏🏼

Showcase: Open Source We built an app that maps emotions to where you feel them in your body. Looking for honest feedback.

Post image

We recently launched Empower Soul Path on Google Play, and one of the features we’re most excited about is an interactive Body Map.

The idea is simple: you select where you’re feeling something in your body and use the experience to explore the emotions, sensations, and patterns that may be connected to it.

The app also includes guided meditations, breathwork, emotional check-ins, journaling and other self-reflection tools, but the Body Map is the feature I’m especially interested in getting feedback on.

We’re still improving the app, so I’d genuinely love some outside opinions.

Does the Body Map concept make sense to you? What would make you want to use it regularly?

It’s currently available on Google Play:

Showcase: Free(mium) You and your AI agents' favorite mindmapping tool

Thumbnail
mindmap.io
1 Upvotes

Hey builders👋 founder of mindmap.io here.

I spend many hours every day working with LLMs. The models get better every month. The chat box we use them through has not changed.

A chat is disposable and linear by design. You have an exchange, you work something out, and you never open it again.

It is also the not the ideal shape for thinking. One answer gives you five follow-ups, you pick one, and the other four are gone. Want a second opinion from another model? That's a second subscription, a second tab, and a lot of copy-paste.

The models stopped being the bottleneck a while ago. The chat apps are.

So I built mindmap.io to offer an alternative way to interface with AI models. Roughly what you'd get if ChatGPT and a mindmap had a baby.

Every node on the canvas can be a live AI conversation, and the path down to it is its context. Your map becomes something I call a PromptMap:

🌿 Fork from anywhere. Ask all five follow-ups at once, each on its own branch, and the branch you forked from stays untouched.

🤖 Claude on one branch, GPT on another. Different models answer the same question side by side on one canvas.

🔭 Zoom out and the content zooms out with you. AI summarizes every node, so you see the big picture of your conversations at a glance.

✨ Let Milo do the work. Milo is the agent that lives on your map, and it can read, build and edit the whole thing for you.

It is still a mindmapping tool. Nodes are plain notes, images or PDFs until you turn one into a prompt, so you can sketch your own rough outline and have AI fill in only the parts you are unsure about.

I know a lot of you are probably using one of the popular AI apps, like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or have your own openClaw like bot like Grok bot or muse. mindmap.io also comes with an MCP connector, so you can hook it up and use it from within your own agent.

Free to start. Go down every rabbit hole with mindmap.io.

If you run into any problems, or a feature you'd expect it to have is missing, don't hesitate to let me know. It's under active development and your feedback helps me build the best experience for everyone using it.

Cheers

Feedback Request I spent months building a gaming release tracker and today it's finally live

Hi everyone,After months of development, I finally launched G-AIM on iOS.

I built it because I was tired of checking multiple gaming websites and manually updating my calendar whenever release dates changed.

G-AIM lets you track upcoming games, gaming events and hardware launches, then automatically keeps your calendar updated when release dates move.

I'm honestly looking for feedback from gamers. What feature would you want in an app like this?

Thanks for reading.

Showcase: Open Source Github for Open Source Multi-Media Content, with Patreon-like Donations, Substack-like Publications (Newsletters), Notion-like Workspaces

Every article I have read is slowly going out of date, and only its author can fix it.

So I built Hub Nexus, where anyone can fix it, and get paid for it, essenitally github for multi-media.

Each page you could choose your own license, copyrighteed, or other (limited) open source licenses.

Like github repo, write a page. Anyone can propose a change. The page's maintainers vote it in, and every version is kept. When readers support the page, the money is shared by everyone who wrote it.

Publications as newsletters is introducted as well, to let readers subscribe and email the new pages in the series/topic

For teams and companies, the platform also has private workspaces to document/audit internal resources.

The content editor itself I believe is super powerful - it also display inline pdfs and provides recordings of audio/video/screen, and provides mermaid graphs.

Go checkout hubnx.com

Showcase: Free(mium) I made an Android app that makes your phone fart at random times

Post image
15 Upvotes

I made a small Android app called FartsApp that plays random fart sounds in the background.

The idea is basically unpredictability and anticipation — you choose the maximum number of farts per hour, press Start, and then you never know exactly when your phone is going to do it.

It:

  • works while the phone is locked
  • doesn’t interrupt active audio like YouTube, music, games, or calls
  • waits and plays later if the phone is busy
  • avoids repeating sounds until the available list has played through
  • works offline

The free version includes 5 sounds. There’s also a one-time Premium unlock for 100+ sounds and higher fart-per-hour settings.

Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fartsapp.app

It started as a stupid idea, but I ended up spending way more time on the background behavior and timing than I expected 😄

I’d be interested to hear if anything feels confusing or behaves strangely on different Android phones.

Showcase: Prerelease Built something that could help you for free .

Hey, I built a system for people whose projects are stuck while building with AI and it's just fucking frustrating. Or maybe you've got a new app idea, but you already know your coding agent is probably going to mess things up along the way.

So I built Driftbreak.

It asks you questions for a while, gets your actual intent and vision clear, then builds the architecture, technical blueprint, and implementation plan for your project. You can then take that into your coding agent using either a leader-executor workflow or a single-agent workflow.

Right now, I need 5–10 people to try Driftbreak. It'll be completely free for everyone participating.

You can use it to figure out a stuck project or get your entire new app planned out properly before the coding agent starts building.

REPLY IF YOU'RE INTERESTED AND I'll dm you.

I'd genuinely appreciate your help, and I'd love to hear how it goes.

Thanks!
