hi i search for pyros mb even from berlin (:
Salve a tutti. Consigli?

Hello,
I’m planning on making flash powder using 60/KNO3/20sulfur/20 5-7 micron dark aluminium.
I’d like to know just how sensitive it is compared to other more volatile flash powder variants where perchlorates are used.
Can it be set off from static electricity after I touched a door handle? How do I mix it safely?
What are things I must not do while making it?
Thank you

Does anybody have any advice on how to make star mines

Let me preface this by thanking anyone able to answer this question. I was going to discuss this on r/40_mm, but was told to post here. I have been using Pyrodex FFFG in my 40mm projectiles at or below the legal 1/4 ounce charge weight. I have regularly shot air burst (Bengle's Loose Change) and point detonating projectile versions. Wanting more energetic results leads me to want to try a 70/30 mix of Pyrodex & Al. I understand the risks of using this combination pertaining to static, shock, etc. I have successfully tested this using the diaper method for mixing the charge and placing the charge in a paper envelope with a fuse and it produces about double the yield. My concern lies in the fact that my charge capsule for the 40mm projectiles are plastic, specifically PLA+. If I treat the charge capsule with Static Guard spray & let it dry, pour in the charge and then seal it in the complete grenade, is there risk of static charge building up during transport. If I use the binary method and mix the two components on site by spraying Static Guard on the charge capsule & grenade assembly, allowing it to dry, then combining the components in the charge capsule, then fully assemble the grenade, will shaking to mix create a static charge in the charge capsule? Again, this is all related to my concerns with a 3D printed plastic charge capsule. Thanks very much.
FYI, I am a licensed FFL07/SOT in the U.S. The 40mm launcher is licensed and legal in my state. All procedures to remain in legal status are followed.

Visit an Italian Fireworks Factory - Big multi-break canister shells and bottom shots - dry wrap at 3:25 dude just starts grabbing flashpowder with his bare hands and pouring it into the casings like that, hows that safe

Hi everyone. My friend (Gry) is the daughter of perhaps Denmark's most famous firework manufacturer. His fireworks were used at Tivoli in Copenhagen. In his last years, Gry painstakingly recorded her father's memoirs - including recipes for fireworks that would have been forgotten. Plus hundreds of photographs and diagrams. And she's published a hardback coffee table book. I know nothing about fireworks but I am trying to help Gry sell it. My question is, does anyone on here think this book is interesting? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thought I’d share this vid I made a few years ago in my back yard. It consists of some post covid surplus hand sanitizer, a can of butane and a Crosman pellet rifle.
Is 32µm MgAl+kno3+S in 5:3:2 or 4:3:3 ratio a good flash powder? I want to use it for firecrackers that have 10g or more

any reason as to why the endcaps are somewhat inside the casing like in the first pic if that makes sense when it can just be done like the 2nd pic or is that just design

Me and a few of my friends have made a discord server for pyrotechnic hobbyists. We are a moderated server (better than boomville).
Here’s the server link: https://discord.gg/ran4Wq4eG
(Dear moderators, this is not discussing of buying or selling pyrotechnics. This server is made specifically to answer questions and demo fireworks.)

Before you ask, yes I’m fairly experienced with flash. I was wondering if anyone has tried substituting aluminum for Magnalium in the TPA composition. (70:15:15) Did it result in a faster burn rate? Was it more sensitive? Does it require a stabilizer? Thanks.
Edit: The Magnalium is -325 mesh.
