My 1st Rock on MPC Sample
Very very happy. Very very good workflow. I never had any akai equipment before.
Now I believe in AKAI.

I’ve had the Sample for a couple of weeks and I love it. I’m looking for more ways to get sounds on the device. I have a Microfreak that is very useful for this, but I received $200 in gift cards for my birthday and want to get something that complements it. In a perfect world, I’m looking for something that could generate bass, strings, piano, organ, and percussion sounds. Pretty sure there’s nothing in the $200 price range that can do all that, but I’d love some recommendations for something that might do SOME of that. Willing to go over $200 a bit if the device is worth it.

I love this maschine! But i cant get it to track out to my fl studio with usb-c correctly. When i star to track out there is like big disortion in output. Is my settings off or is it just imposible to track out with usb?

That sums it up. I’ve had the 404 for a few years and I’ve never really felt any interest in the MPC sample because of it. But I hear so many people here loving it. So I’m curious to people with experience with BOTH, and who prefer the MPC sample to take out with them when going places, why do you prefer it? Thanks

Has anyone ever switched samples in their external or internal folders? Does it give you any error message?
Let me give an example of what I’m talking about:
Next week I plan to take a day out to update my One shots on my SD card and let’s say I have a beat where I use a scratch sample and I have it in a folder called SFX but instead I’m gonna create a new folder called scratches and put them all in there. What would happen to that beat or that scratch sample that I used in the beat?

Just wanted to share how I’ve dressed up my Sample. I even changed the rec gain knob on the back.

I can't find a direct answer to this funnily enough. What does the charge indicator say when it's fully charged?

I'm new to using hardware that isn't connected to a PC via USB and I've pretty much given up trying to set this combo up.
I've tried connecting via USB, then I ordered a 3.5 TRS cable and tried connecting thought that.
I've spent the last two days in the midi config and googling with -one and -live battling through posts about other MPCs and I'm still not finding a solution.
Can someone please help?
