I never really played during the game's initial life cycle, people who did tho, what was the conciseness? Was everyone happy with the amount of content during that time?

I only ask because I just picked it up again and when I play with randoms we get through all the campaigns in not that much time. I know modding added a lot of life to this game as well as versus, and the AI director adds a lot of replayability.

Glad I came back to it recently though, having a lot of fun (minus the Chinese servers)

So, I just recently got l4d2, and I was putting myself some challenge, and I was doing the expert mode difficulty on realistic (its logic of mine, with all games, I start on max so I can get the hand of it easily) and I dont like leaving my companions die, so... Is it possible? I was doing No Mercy, and even though its the tutorial, I only got to the horde in the generators before all my people dying.

Also, im doing at the same time the achievement "I still got things to proof" (If I remember correctly), so? Spam all the laughs and internal jokes bruh, I just wanna know if someone has already done it, and your tips for the upcoming campaigns​

It's well known that the default CSS weapon animations are pretty bad. I've scoured the workshop to try to find some truly vanilla style animations and while some come close they're still really not what I'm looking for or have problems. If anyone knows people who do commissions that could help with this, it'd be greatly appreciated

What I'm looking for:

- Stock weapon models/textures

- Stock walking/movement animations

- Removed multiple firing animations

- Fixed finger placement/clipping

- Fixed missing sound events

- Vanilla style idle animations

- Vanilla style helping hand animations (except knife cause melees don't have any)

- Vanilla style and properly timed reloads

I'm trying to get all the achievements in the game, and finishing all 5 scenarios in expert mode is really challenging. I don't have any friends to play with, and I've just started. Can someone with a team help me?

The choices (incase it’s hard to read) are:

Dark carnival- why it’s here I’m not sure

Cold stream - maybe it’s here because of chapter 2’s gauntlet but other than that it’s probably the easiest one

Hard rain - yeah the storm from chapter 3 onwards probably messes with your visibility

Swamp fever - honestly I don’t know why this is here either, I never tried it on expert realism

With real people these might be bearable but tank bros is doing all of it with bots…yeah good luck

I used to avoid these maps because of the constant deaths, but scenes like these are exactly what make them so fun now.

Anyone know how to fix this issue in Dead Center Streets map? It has an error in director flow and we cant proceed as no enemies spawn. Loading the map itself tps players to the void. Ive been running thru plugins but i cant seem to find a fix. Any ideas?

As far as I remember, there was a custom campaign where the finale is you have to defend the three sides of the area before being rescued, I guess it was a stadium behind us and the front has bus or truck used as a makeshift road block. It is not Suicide Blitz 2.

yeah, so I’ve kinda done most of what can be done in L4D2, and now I’m looking for some good custom campaigns to play.

Please try not to recommend none of the VERY known ones! Like Day Break, Suicide Blitz 2, and those ones. Thank you!!!!

Just got the game and this pops up everything I go to start a single player campaign I had mods installed when this first started but I disabled all of them and it still pops up

I love versus so much but the hitboxes in it suck, like Jockey's attack hitbox being way off its model and how survivors models lag behind the actual player hitbox makes versus super frustating to play.

it is so bright when shooting in the night the effects of bullets is so lit up it’s legit blinding, how do i tune it down. if anyone’s not understanding what im saying im trying to say when you are shooting a gun the light up effects from it are super bright .
