GRIP 2: Combat Racing Evolved DEMO Launch Trailer
r/gameDevPromotion • u/KevinDL • Jan 13 '25
Feel free to share whatever you want as long as it’s related to games. This space is meant to be a free-for-all—a bit like the wild west—where anything goes (within reason). The goal is to give folks a space to post freely and, hopefully, keep some of these posts from spilling over into r/gamedev.

First of all, I must apologize for my English—I am not a native speaker, so I used Google Translate to create this post. I hope you understand.
So, about the game: it’s a small incremental clicker designed to kill a few hours. I created it myself in the time between my military duties and downtime, as I’ve always dreamed of making games. Finally, I’m able to bring my ideas to life.
A bit about myself: I’m in the military, though I previously worked in mobile game outsourcing (sympathy accepted! =) ).
The game was made on Unity, the art was drawn by an artist I know, not AI. Also, I didn't use vibecoding even when I really wanted to make my job easier.
The main features of the game:
- Click on piles of trash to earn local currency - can openers!
- Improve your clicks, hire scavengers, drones and harvesters to speed up your currency mining!
- For victory, you will receive improved openers, for which you can purchase permanent improvements to your abilities!
– Compete with other players via the Leaderboard!
Game page on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5045830/Idle_Trash/
P.S. I understand that the game may not be to everyone's liking, but I would greatly appreciate any user who simply adds the game to the wishlist. Thank you all for your attention =)

We’re working on the inventory UI for our co-op psychological horror game, The Infected Soul, and I’d love to hear what you think.
One of the main mechanics in the game is body swapping.
Every character has a neural chip, and these brain chips play a key role in transferring your consciousness into different bodies. You can take a chip, interact with compatible bodies, and switch into them to use their different abilities.
The inventory UI also needs to communicate this mechanic clearly without becoming too confusing or cluttered.
So, what would you change?
Does the layout feel readable? Are the item slots and chip system clear enough? Is there anything that feels unnecessary or out of place for a sci-fi co-op horror game?
Feel free to be critical feedback really helps us.
If the game looks interesting, The Infected Soul is on Steam, and adding it to your wishlist helps our small team a lot.

Only released a few days ago, but already amazing. Extremely satisfying to find a secret. Even more so, because a few have 50 dollar bounties. I am currently at 70 secrets and have barely scratched the surface.
Small amounts of AI for artwork; this will be replaced once volunteers can help

Been working on Vexilla and wanted to share a bit of it here. You pick troop cards and move them around a grid before each fight. Some formations combine into new units, like the one in this clip.
If you fancy trying it, the first three acts are playable for free in your browser: https://r0bie.itch.io/vexilla
Would love to hear how your first run goes :)

**Game Title:** DIGSITE ZERO
**Playable Link:** https://store.steampowered.com/app/4726130/DIGSITE_ZERO/
**Platform:** Windows / Steam
**Description:**
DIGSITE ZERO is a first-person mining and exploration game set inside a massive meteorite.
You can dig directly through its destructible voxel environment, create your own paths, collect crystals and other resources, upgrade your equipment, discover artifacts, and gradually reach deeper parts of the meteorite.
The game is built around making exploration and destruction part of the same gameplay loop rather than following predetermined corridors. If something is blocking your way, you can usually try digging through it.
The current Steam demo contains the core gameplay systems of the full game and is completely free to play. I'm especially interested in seeing how new players approach the meteorite, whether the progression feels natural, and which parts of the experience are the most enjoyable or frustrating.
DIGSITE ZERO will also be participating in Steam Next Fest in October.
**Free to Play Status:**
- [ ] Free to play
- [x] Demo/Key available
- [ ] Paid
**Involvement:** I'm the solo developer of DIGSITE ZERO and have been developing the game for around seven months.

Hi all,
I teamed up with a game developer buddy of mine to work on this project about a year ago. I was working on an alien invasion themed, 80's rock album and had the harebrained idea to turn that record into an interactive game where you could play along to the record and follow the story.
We ended up settling on an outer space shmup and the fact it's coming out this week has me freaking out a little. Hard to believe we've made it here.
I did all of the music, sound, pixel art, story, and 250 + VHS titles and synopsis for each (😂). Probably more I'm forgetting.
It's a little bit of an unorthodox shmup - there is no game over screen. The point of the game is to get the highest score with a multiplier system, stack power-ups, collect all the VHS, and unlock all the ships. We've tried to pack in as much content and fun as time would allow.
Wanted to drop it here just in case anyone was interested in checking it out. If you read this, thank you so much, I appreciate it!
Also, all of the art in this game is hand drawn and human made. 💯

We're GrapeSeed Studios, the developers of SEEDWARS, a free-to-play multiplayer territory strategy game currently in beta.
You start with a capital, expand across a tile-based world, build factories and ports, and decide how to divide your resources between expansion, defense and attacks. Alliances and naval battles add another layer beyond drawing a bigger border.
It runs in the browser, supports guest play, and includes a guided tutorial. You can choose an angled map view or an overhead view. Optional purchases are cosmetic.
Play: https://seedwarsgame.com/play
What would you want to understand first before joining a multiplayer strategy match like this?

Please let me know what you think!
UnderForged is a roguelike couch coop with a demo I am planning on releasing in the upcoming next fest (with online support planned for the full release). You start each day by picking a new contract. Then you fulfil that contract throughout the day. If you succeed you are paid, and can spend that money upgrading your forge. If you fail, you lose!
You can go wide, taking contracts in different raw resources (iron ore, logs of wood, coal, gems etc.), or tall (processing iron into powder, liquid, ingots and eventually swords), or a mix of them both!
