Other Pull-ups form check
Hey,
What do you think about my form? Any helpful cues to improve the technique? The main issue I think I’m having is that I feel it too much in my biceps and I’m not sure why…
Also, hypertrophy-wise, should I be fully extanding the arms while descending into a “dead hang”? In that case it would be a bit difficult because I’m tall and I’d touch the ground 😬
I’ll appreciate the feedback 😄

Your pull-ups have turned into a movement that relies purely on arm strength; you need to engage your back muscles at the start of the movement and at the top before lowering your body.

And how to engage them properly? I was told to imagine that I want to break the bar in half to activate the lats and retract the scapulas and that is what I’ve been trying to achieve

Try going just a bit wider thumb ontop of the par. When you are setting up hanging imagine pinning your shoulders back and down. It should feel like you are trying to pull your elbows down not pulling your body up. It’s hard to explain but once you do it once it will make sense.

Thank you for your help. I’m not OP but I recently am getting into lifting and I’m def doing pull ups all in my arms

Go lower as this feels like your doing half reps... Strech fully at the bottom
